Based on my personal experience most companies won't give students the opportunity because the 20hrs limit.

But you may be lucky to get a company looking for just part-time staff.

Another truth of this POF thing is ,I dnt really think anyone can have access to your present balance regardless of who is requesting for it.Unless you are under investigation and it may require a police clearance for that. I think they (Visa Officers) call to confirm if the bank statement as provided by you was duely signed by the bank or if its shows an accurate value of your balance as at that date and time you submitted it .

The money in your dollar is USD and your school fees is in GBP I assume?

The USD will be converted to GBP in standard USD to GBP rate so no black market stuff. You can simulate the exchange rate on wise.com
It will give you a near-accurate value

Do you already have your CAS now? If yes you can book for TB now and pay for your IHS and visa then you can select an appointment date after 21st oct.
