Good evening ma. I did CS some days ago and the doctor gave me pain killer injection that were very effective. I think if it's possible, you should ask him for pain killers to reduce any pain you are feeling.
I wouldn't advice you to take any alcohol or pepper concoction, the pain will . My first CS, I was in pain for almost 10 days, but this one the pain isn't as much, just ask your doctor for pain relief medication.

Sorry about all this. I wish you quick recovery.

These our grannies knows little or nothing about these things, tell her you spoke to your doctor and he is against alcohol and hot water sitting.. I think that should do it.

Recovery process for C's is draining because ontop of that you have a little creature with you who's dependent on u on almost everything.. don't worry dear, slowing but surely everything will fall in place and be okay

Please no alcohol, instead I prefer this hot pepper soup if you're Igbo, your MIL will know, they usually prepare it with yam, Uda and uziza and some spices.

Please for now, no sitting on hot water, However, it’s always best to consult with your doctor if you have any questions or you’re not sure if it’s safe to get in hotwater. They’re the best resources for instructions on bathing.

Good afternoon everyone,I haven't been here since I announced my birth via CS, please I am not understanding recovery process o,I cry everyday like this,now my mum in-law is talking about one very hot pepper and alcohol mixture,I did CS,I don't want what I will drink and die in pain and it is difficult to say no, please has anyone heard of it before for someone that did CS,and again too much concoction has been brought,I am tired already, somebody please answer me,can I take it?

Good morning mama, what exactly is making you cry? Is it the pain from the incision? The doctors are supposed to give you some painkillers and antibiotics to continue taking till at least 2 weeks after your surgery. After my CS, we had an appointment @ 2 weeks post-op. Combining herbs/concoction with orthodox medicine is not really advisable as they might even be interacting. Alcohol is a big NO for a pregnant/nursing mother. If you have any concerns, why not call the doctor or go back to the hospital? In conclusion, give your body time to heal, you had a major surgery. Rest as much as you can, don’t lift anything heavier than your baby and please follow your doctors instructions.

Chai this pubic bone pain it's killing especially when turning on the bed or trying to get up, sometimes I have to crawl on d floor till I see something to hold in order to stand up, d pain is even making walking difficult..... November please do and come now

My cutie princess arrived on Sept 4 via emergency CS.
EDD Sept 6.

Though I have not been really active on this thread but I definitely gained a lot of info as a first time mom.

Got married early last year and waited till August to start trying. I ed the My calendar app ,used it to track fertile days and by God's mercy I got pregnant in September.

Unfortunately the pregnancy resulted into a silent miscarriage. I went for evacuation in October, period returned after 4 weeks, tracked fertile days again and by God's mercy I tested positive to pregnancy on Christmas day.

Resumed work after the holiday on Jan 2nd, and while trying to push d office door opened, I noticed something gush out of me. I went to the restroom to check n it was fresh blood...I starting crying, rushed to the hospital and I was checked. After scan, they said it was too early to detect whether the pregnancy will,be viable or not, that I should return in 2 weeks. I sha begged the doctor to give me progesterone drug...n doctor said I didn't need it but since I insisted he gave me one primolut N ( Neothesthorone) can't the spelling jare.
After the 3rd day of using the drug, I decided to check goggle and goggle said d drug wasn't to be used in pregnancy. Chai, I rushed back to d hospital again, met another doctor she took d drugs from me and said it was a wrong type of primolut N I was given...wahalar. she collected d drugs from me and told me not to worry.
To cut long story short sha, bleeding resolved to spotting which continued for like 4 different times. I finally took a bold step to go for scan at 6 weeks and everything was okay.
Morning sickness was real, motion sickness, tiredness, weird taste in mouth e.t.c. God helped me I pulled through to 2nd and 3rd trimester without hassles. 3rd trimester was frequent with aches and hubby was always massaging with olive oil for me.

Fast forward to 38 weeks, cervix was fully effaced but no labour signs...waited till next appointment which was 39 weeks 3 days, a membrane sweep was done. Chai that membrane sweep is painful ehn, I almost brought down the whole hospital with shout.

Next day after the sweep, I noticed a,lot of thick vagina discharge coming out in bits..I still continued my evening trekking and by midnight I woke up to pee and saw bloody show.
Before I could say Jack, my water busted. Wore pad and raced to the hospital, while in d car going to d hospital, water just started gushing out,car seat, floor , my dress soaked with water. The Midwife checked me on getting to d hospital and said I was only 2cm but d way d water was gushing out,I told her I wasn't comfortable with it. A doctor later came and checked me and detected meconium stain in d water and he said the safest option was to do a CS.

Finally sha, surgeon came around and did the CS, baby came out screaming her lungs however after checking her she was placed on oxygen for 48hrs hours, different test and treatment. Baby stayed in intensive care for about 6 days before she was fully discharged.

CS recovery has also been pretty good, by the next day of the CS, I was able to sit up, went for review like 10 days after CS and doctor said I can start bathing normally.

I thank God for a successful pregnancy journey and wish all other mama's safe delivery. I also pray for all TTC mums, God will answer you speedily IJN.

I just checked google too now and I saw 38 to 39 weeks, can you ask your Dr why he wants baby out before 38 weeks? Me honestly want 37 weeks for myself but Dr is saying 38 is what they do. Forget what your friend said o, 37 weeks is full term so you dont have to worry yourself at all.

I think u will have to go with ur doctor because he knows d reason why he wants baby to come before 38weeks and 37weeks baby self don they term now, no be only one week difference
