Hello guys I heard and observed applying for college associates degree in USA always have high denial rate, but what of Colleges that offer bachelor's degree are they well recognized by embassy to grant visas?

I am new here and i have been reading through all the pages. please i someone once asked about including a child of US citizenship as a dependent on the i-20.
I cannot the response the lady got. Can someone please confirm if it is necessary?

Lmao. How can someone's dream school be a community college bro. What about those that applied to only one school which is a community college. How do you expect them to sell to the VO that the community college is their dream school

Community College i20 has high denial chances if and only if You already have a bsc . It doesn't make sense to have a bsc and want to apply to the USA for a lower degree which is an Associate Degree

If you are an undergraduate without any bsc and you are applying to a community college, you stand a chance of being accepted if you can convince the VO that you plan to convert your Associate Degree to a Bachelors


Secondly if you already have a bsc but you are still applying to a community college, it should be to a program that is different from your bsc. But however be ready to convince the VO why you are switching career paths. And offcourse you have to convince the VO that you plan to use the Associate degree and convert it to a Bachelor’s or that you plan to use the Associate degree as a substitute to a post graduate diploma which will help you do a masters in the new career path you want to chase

I’m not an expert o. But saying you’re staying with your Husband for 5years is a big red flag especially when you mentioned that your husband’s PhD is 6years!!! 6 kini ? Most department advise PhD students to finish their program between 4/5years after which they won’t the student again(please research this)


Finally your answer to who’s sponsoring your trip should have been something different. Maybe say you if you can afford it considering your salary. But your husband’s GTA covers only him and I’m not sure he can even save from it.

I believe the problem here is the length you want to stay in the US with 2kids on a very lean budget. It honestly doesn’t make sense to me.

My friend is a ed nurse in the UK, and recently got masters ission in MPH for spring 2023.

Self sponsored, can he apply for F1 from the UK?
How do he show ties and convince the visa officer that he will come back to Nigeria or to the UK?
Did he have any chances of getting the visa from the UK or does he need to come to Nigeria to apply for the f1 visa.

He has a sister in Canada who will also co sponsor, because he is on a work Visa in the Uk, I thought maybe it will be wise for him to come to Nigeria to apply for the F1 visa. Can I get appoint in Nigeria, his program starts Jan 3 2023

When the dependent is a US citizen, you don't add them on the form i20.

How can you have M1 on your i20 and pay for F2 visa? Both are not the same.

What specific MA programs are you interested in? You don’t have to get a masters in your undergraduate studies
