NICOSIA: Its a lengthy process https://www.health.gov.au/initiatives-and-programs/doctorconnect/how-to-practise-medicine-in-australia/becoming-a-permanent-resident Migrating successfully to Australia as a doctor requires you to have an in-depth understanding of the medical registration and application processes . To get an Australian PR, you need to follow the three key steps such as: You need to obtain a successful skills assessment You are required to yourself with the Australian Medical Board (AMB) You need a Visa pathway to apply for Australian PR In order to get yourself ed with the AMB (Australia Medical Board) you need to have a valid job offer till the time you become successful in getting registration as a specialist. It doesn’t depend on how many years of experience you have as a doctor in Nigeria or your current base. Your initial registration in Australia will be either limited or provisional. It means that you need to work in Australia for 12 months if you want to gain a general registration. Moving to Australia is one journey Getting A PR is another Journey . I don't recommend mixing both as it end in wild-goose chase 2 Likes |

AKASBABA1 are you serious? My husband is on student visa but he changed school so he applied to extend his visa when it was about to expire which he included our son and I and is going to be 5 months by 10th of this month since we submitted visa application and we haven't been given visa. We are really worried and he used a very good lawyer there in Australia

AKASBABA1: 9:48am On Aug 03, 2022 |
Light21: Mine was processed onshore, again it depends on his previous application, financial status etc. In my experience, student dependant take lesser time to process. Permit me to add that my first Assie visa took 4 months to process, I'll assume the delay is due to the normal processing of visa and other background checks. |
AKASBABA1: 9:51am On Aug 03, 2022 |
pufframmy: Depends on your school, min should be 15M |

yemyem4uall: Congratulations Please how much is the minimum deposits for Torrens university? |
Rhodsho: 3:55pm On Aug 03, 2022 |
Light21:Pls be calm and prayerful. I guess u are offshore and your husband is onshore at the time of filling the application. Ours took almost 5months, but it came out successful, although he didn’t change his school, he only included myself and my daughter in his new application when he got to Australia . Priority is currently given to the fresh student applicants, and because of the large numbers of applicants ,this might have caused a little bit of delay. It will come out soonest and successful. |
Light21: 5:15pm On Aug 03, 2022 |
Rhodsho: My sister please was it this year you did yours? Please me in prayer I don't want to lose faith in what God can do, I want to come here and testify like others |

Light21: Our VISA was released last week. Our application was submitted in March. The waiting was really exhausting, but it ended in praise.please, have faith that God will do it, and be strong. Your testimony is next. |
Light21: 8:10pm On Aug 03, 2022 |
Rhodsho: Amen! Thank you, atleast am a bit relieved now. We submitted same March but ours was on the 10th of March |

mexsquare:Hi there, Can recommend your agent to me? Thanks |
Sultannayef: 1:39am On Aug 04, 2022 |
Light21: Did he add you as wife/partner when he applied for the initial visa from Nigeria even though you were not going with him? Is your husband a postgraduate student? Did he met the financial and health requirements for the dependents? If the answers are right, you will get the visa in no distant time. If not, there would be more delay. |
AKASBABA1: 2:05am On Aug 04, 2022 |
Sultannayef: In my case I was the sponsor and everything including POF was from me, on initial application I was included together with the children . It was undergraduate |
Sultannayef: 2:26am On Aug 04, 2022 |
AKASBABA1: Then you don’t have to worry. Exercise some patience. Many of such category of visas get approved within 6 months if finance is adequate. |

Good day Everyone, I’m new here, I’d like to make enquires regarding Aussie. 1. Can I start another BSC as we’re yet to know the fate of ASUU 2. Is the Visa Application an interview like USA or I’ll have to submit my documents 3. Will I get ission first before starting any other projects? 4. My port will expire in 2 months, I’ll be renewing this month l, can I still apply with the old one as I’m yet to get the new one 5. I’ll be sponsoring myself, I hope it’s not a red flag Thanks as I await your response, please y’all can help with anything that can help process this as ASUU is really messing with my brain and I’m also a fan of DIY. Thanks |
