I applied using the new IRCC portal

I sent a web form withdrew my application June 1st because of the long processing time been waiting since last year .

However I received BVL like a week ago , but no other information , my application is still showing

“Your application is in progress.”

Is this normal ?

Has anyone experienced this ?

Please can explain to me if you withdraw your application do you get any correspondence from them ? How do you know if your application has been successfully withdrawn?

My application was to attend a (paid) conference in July and I applied through the new portal. I have been previously issued a Canadian visa and I have a valid US visa which I included in my application.

Please can you advise where would be faster to send my port, Abuja or Lagos? Also, as my biometrics from a few years ago is still valid, I am not very clear about how much to pay and documents to send in. Those who know, kindly clarify. Thanks!

PS; I applied using the old portal. I haven’t re applied using the new portal cus I applied after September 7th.

I am not sure what is causing processing delays on your application as I don't know your profile, but I would implore you to try to relax. You might need to weigh your options; if the travel intent is not urgent, I will encourage you to apply via the new IRCC portal. At the same time, these guys can come up with a decision anytime, so one can't tell since we do not know their internal workings.

Before applying on the new portal, can you apply for your GCMS notes to see where they are now or have you already done so? While you await the on your GCMS notes, can you keep sending them emails and web forms as your application is ed standard processing times?

Don't limit the emails to Nairobi alone, including London, Lagos and Abuja. Some MPs don't do much, so I would advise you not to put all your hopes on them. But you can still try to follow up with them since they are yet to get back to you.

Finally, I would advise when you send MP mails or IRCC, let the tone of your mail not depict desperation, but a true intent or need to visit or make it a little comionate.

Hello fam. My sister applied for a visit visa for my mom, today makes it 3 months and my sister called MP to intervene, after few hours MP office called my sister back, that she applied for a supervisa. How long does it take to process a super-visa?

Hello people. I need proper advise on the category of Canada visa I should apply for.

My wife and kids were recently issued Canadian study visas. She's due to start her studies early September, 2022.

The plan is for her to go alone and settle down before I her with the kids, hiven that we have a child that is 5 years old.(we have 3 kids aged 11,9and 5)

However, I am yet to apply for any for any Canadian visa and I am confused as to the category of visa I should apply for. This is bearing in mind that I used myself as their home ties while applying for their visas.

My case is more peculiar, considering that I intend to also proceed to Cyprus on studies. However, my program could be done online, so I can be in Canada with my family.

Based on the foregoing, I need your help regarding how best I should approach my application to get my visa at the earliest possible time.

Yes it was a family application applied on the 1st April. Got it Ppr on June 16th

It was a renewal for my mum and first time for my pops. So I applied for both using my mom’s profile, i hope that helps

Yes but the possibility of getting the visa . The school asked me to deposit $500 non-refundable . It's a lot of risk . The course is Diploma in Personal worker .

I have been following messages here for a couple of months and this is my first time posting.

Please it is possible to reach out to IRCC using another email address linked with GCKey or application? I have been waiting for a decision on my visit visa application since February 22, 2021, when I did biometrics. No decision till now on the application according to the agent that helped to submit my application. She always told me application status is In Progress.

I do not have access to the GCKey name and and she refused to release these details to me.

I have my application number and UCI. Can I send IRCC mail quoting my application number and other details with another email address?

I will like to know the reason for the delay because this stuff is long overdue.

Pls, your advice will go a long way.
