Dear Nairalands, please I need some clarifications

I am currently filling my family DS 160 visa application for me, wife and two kids, we are based in UAE but i will be the one sponsoring our vacation to the Florida for two weeks

I and my wife are working full time job but I have a functional company in Nigeria and also real estate apartments where i generate monthly and yearly income in Naira which are in my Nigeria bank s.

is there any option where i can mention my investments and income from my home country in DS160 Form? or will it look that i am giving out too much information that might confuse the visa officer and rather stick only on the income from employment here?

shall i also print my naija bank statements along for the interview ?

note i have been refused previous US Visa application when i was single under section 214b

I just tracked my application and its same as yours, updated 14th. I think Ozymes was referring to port tracking on the ustraveldocs page which just tells you where your port is but not status of application.

I have gotten it approved and disbursed twice this year. What's the issue?

My Tips
1. Fill out all the information 14 working days before; not calendar days.
2. Attach your ticket, visa, port and a signed letter of authorization to debit your . This is where people miss it.
3. Get the AF number and go to your bank immediately with those documents. This will trigger the approval process and follow up daily.

Bonus tip- Get a dollar card with your bank and tell them if they have cash scarcity, they can put the money on the card. This is what I do. When you get to your destination, you can withdraw.

I have done all these (application and of required documents), but the bank keeps saying that it is on queue and will be processed...

The application has not even been reviewed yet, but they were very quick to reject my initial application because it was submitted more than 14days to my travel date.

This is not even the issue of scarcity, at least this is not what they are projecting. This is the issue of the application not yet been reviewed.

I'm guessing you missed this bit on their CEAC web portal? "If no interview was required, please check back in two business days for the status of your application". By the way, you can respond to a chat, without being patronizing. The message was an actual response to a certain person. Your input wasn't really necessary.

Based on that learning, we applied again with GTB in April and both got disbursement. A friend applied late and also got it.

So, what bank are you using? Do you have an manager? Usual review and approval is done within 24 hours.

The funny thing is that the REJECTED application was done within 48hours, and this was end of April.

I then resubmitted this month, May, and up until now, it has not even been reviewed.

I don't have any experience with UBA unfortunately. Please go to the bank with the AF number and all your details and the queue for PTA. They are meant to review and approve instantly. Wait there until it is approved by the first two approvers- the reviewer and the supervisor.

It is after this it will the queue and during this time, follow up with daily calls and/or visits. It is then you will get it approved by disbursement reviewer and disbursement supervisor.

Also opt for the card option if there's a cash scarcity. Please see screenshot below of my last approval so you get clarity on the number of steps required. I submitted on the 19th of April and see it was approved by the first two that same day.

Actually she’s right, those who did before may had it easier than those who did in may especially UBA, im in the same shoes right now, those in bank are not even ready to review, they keep giving excuse or scarcity and they cant do anything until it has been approved from head office, is really annoying, they also claim the queue is long, ive actually decided to cancel and try another bank, but now for them to reject is another thing cos its showing if i they dont reject wont be able to apply to another bank

When you canceled, did you had to wait for SCB to approve the cancellation before applying to GTb?
