Like some information from anyone that experienced the same during their visa application.. started my process in November lawyer came in January on 28 of March I got an email to submit a New port carrying my husband name, waec and a new age declaration but wasn’t asked to submit TI or travel dates pls will I be ed to submit them or the visa will just be granted on the port and also they haven’t ed my husband pls can someone help me don’t know what’s going on and why it’s taking so much though I have submitted the port..

And also is it possible for them to grant me the visa without ing my husband??

If you don't want her to wait for a year. I would advise you get married and also try to get your employer to help you get the documents for pre-approval (under the skilled immigration act) that way you can book an appointment for her at the same time as yours. Some recent changes to the EU blue card even allows family reunification at the same time as the blue card applicant but I am not sure if the changes are in place yet. my A1 exam is on the 17th of may.
Can i submit the A1 result at a latter date after interview?

secondly, The port i used to apply for the date carries my maiden surname. and now, i am in the process of changing it to my husband's surname.
will that be an issue?

Hello all,after more than 3 years on being in the process,since August 2019,I submitted health insurance since November 2021,only to receive a letter back from the German embassy alongside my documents yesterday, saying they can't grant my visa all sort of rubbish that they have concrete proff our marriage is just for the visa,and my wife is a young German citizen in her early 30s,we have both written back objecting the decision of the embassy,what can we do? The embassy gives us just one month to object the decision or go to court,has anyone encountered an issue like this or knows anyone who has or has any suggestions and also when the embassy says proff of financial situation how do we proff it? Same thing happened to me in 2019! My spouse and child visa applications were rejected in 2019 because I had no permanent job in ! Despite the fact that I was a student with DAAD scholarship, part-time job and enough Fund in my German . I offered to open block s for my wife and child but the visa officer at Buchenau Fürstenfeldbruck, Bayern rejected it, that only a permanent job will suffice.

My spouse’s Meldebescheinigung (almedung) will change as he will be moving to a new town on 1st of june.
I plan to submit the current one where he lives right now but he will be moving from there on 28th may.
how do i inform the embassy of this update after the interview so i can submit the new Meldebescheinigung?

Please experienced people in the house, please help

I was in the same situation as you. I had my interview on the 5th of August, 2021 and my spouse was supposed to pack to a new apartment on the 1st of September. And, he only had approval of the new apartment. No Meldebescheiniung from them yet. I presented the two at the interview and they collected both when I explained to them. They gave me the official mail of the embassy to send the house contract as soon as he gets it. And I did just that.

You would be given the official mail to send the documents as soon as you get it.

In the meantime, she did change of name and her current port expired in April. She already did capturing for a new port but we were told file had to be sent to Abuja for approval before port could be printed. Hopefully we can have this resolved in time and please if you have any link for fast tracking such cases, kindly let me know.

My immediate question is in a case where we can’t get the new port before her interview, could she still attend with the expired port? Seeing as the German visa is not issued on interview date and she can send in the data page of the new one after and also present it for Visa provision when it’s time.

Any experience from anyone would be appreciated? Anxiety don wan kill person abeg.

It is even better if she still has the old one. I am assuming the name on old one is what you booked an appointment with.

She has to go with that one because if the name on her appointment mail and the port she presents at the gate is different.. Unnecessary drama can happen.

I hope she gets the new one soon so she can go with both. But the old one will do just fine for the interview, if they ask her to drop off, then she can let them know she will send in a new one.

Her old port number will appear on her new port, so that solves the port number issue. Let her swear affidavit of change of name at a high court. She should also do a newspaper publication for her change of name. In the newspaper publication, she can even mention "German Consulate lagos and the general public ", this should solve the name issue. Let her go with both ports. The new port should be out before then. You can also push for it with a token.
