Has anyone succeeded in booking an IW follow up appointment? Portal isn’t showing on my profile since March 1st. I’ve been going back and forth with the customer service but nothing still.

Check the letter attached to your port
Some it stated to come any Thursday
If yours is to book appointment keep checking it will come up

Please as regards those who stayed longer than they put on their D's 160, is there no hope for them at all, cos my mum did and beer interview is coming up, she has reasons to stay longer tho but if they won't buy it, is it better she just stays back and not go for it cos the interview is in Abuja n she doesn't stay in Abuja

You can't select Abuja and expect Lagos to accept it.

Use Retrieve Application feature and edit Location.

I was only able to get 7th July for appointment. I will have to change my plans for summer vacation (August) do I have to fill a new DS-160 form?

Yes, you can…if the system allows you.(if you are able to update the new confirmation number)

For those applying from Canada, it’s not easy to fill a new DS160 as you won’t be able to update the new confirmation number on your profile…

Good morning Nairalanders, please can anyone who has done Dropbox this year tell me where exactly documents are dropped off in Lagos. Is it DHL or the American Embassy?

Also, I have been reading previous posts and wish to know if the comment that only an applicant can drop off documents is a new development because I had dropped off documents for my mum and sister in previous years even though I was not an applicant at the time.

Documents are dropped at the consulate. Also, only applicants can drop the documents or a member of the family if applying together.

Parents are allowed to drop for their minors/kids though

But they will only collect your international port and 1 port photograph and give you the other documents back. Please don't listen to those agents around that embassy area. You don't need to photocopy anything.

Good Morning Nadnad,

I was one of the fortunate few to get my visa approved after the first used for Child birth purposes on that day. The VO was very firm and denied all who had stayed longer than the declared period on the DS 160 form.

Its a bad story for the couple banned from the USA for life. It is well.
