Congratulations . You can now plan with greater certainty. On a lighter note Canada immigration doesn't work like a queue where people who applied 2 years ago get their application processed before people who apply 1 year ago. Those still waiting should be patient as it will all come through.

Depends on if he's in a hurry or not. Lagos and Abuja VFS is taking like 6 weeks or more now. Accra/Cairo may take shorter. AbuDhabi is fastest, 1 week now.

I don't think they will attend to you that same day, but I believe you will get a closer date than what you will get online. I was there last Monday and those without appointment were asked to move to another venue; to be given appointment date manually.

I think I just got PPR but I’m not 100 percent sure. It’s says something about my permanent residence being almost completed and some steps i should complete some outline steps within 21 days. It’s has the height and eye chart form and all.
This is PPR right?

Please I got an Adr for custody Documentation issued by the relevant judicial authority for my child. My self and my husband are very married and together. We applied as spouse unaccompanied. I am confused at what document ircc wants. We submited and transmitted Parents authorization to travel letter, my husband port, my son birth certificate. Please I need more insights as I am still very confused.
I recently thought of sending Declaration form for minors travelling with a non accompanied spouse which we are working on getting it notarized, and a letter of explanation to inform them we are still married whixh I intend sending via webform.. I really need clarity plz..

Yep, but many view it as a good sign that PPR is near. Give them their remed, let them give you your PPR

Maybe custody doc is a new additional requirement to prevent one parent from absconding with children, there was a judicial case we discussed here sometime ago....they may have seen more cases of this, just guessing.

My advise: in addition to all the docs you listed above, please also get & submit the exact document they have asked for. I don't think you have to be divorced or separated to get a legal document that you have custody of your children, but I may be wrong. It looks like IRCC trusts a legal doc from a court (custody doc) more than the supposed signatory of a non accompanying spouse on an authorization to
travel doc. a lawyer to be certain.

We moved houses today as a result I was busy the entire day, finally took a breather and came online to see YinkusB and Lorenza PPR gist. I literally told myself, “this girl, shey you won’t go and check your own mail bayi?” I refreshed my mail and saw the notification and it felt so surreal that I wasn’t sure it was PPR at first

I took note of the following

1. ECA, IELTS - There is no separate placeholder for IELTS and WES. So you can IELTS and WES along with educational documents.
2. Though Schedule A is not asked for when submitting eAPR, later you will be requested to submit Schedule A.
3. Provincial Nominees(PNP) - If you are a provincial nominee would suggest you to submit copy of nominaton certificate and Schedule 4 (IMM0008_4E) upfront along with LOE. Though these are not asked for when submitting eAPR, later you will be requested to submit Schedule 4.

Are the following notes still valid and what do we advice now ?

Long time no hi Bekayy

Gather all documents required by IRCC and your VFS:

1. International port(s)

2. 2 port Photographs (see further instructions below in addendum 1)

3. port Request Letter (aka ready for visa mail)

4. Duly filled Height and Eye Colour Chart. (A single form containing details for every member of the family)

5. IMM008 for those with a change in family composition (by a birth, death, marriage or divorce, etc)

6. 1 CVAC form. With only page 2 filled in by PA. Do not fill pages 3 & 4. Also advisable to fill in Caps. Ink color doesn't matter.

Put all documents in an envelope and proceed to DHL or any courier of your choice and pay for a one-way delivery to the VFS centre where you reside: Abuja or Lagos. Since I reside in Abuja, I sent mine to Abuja via UPS. You do not have to pay any fee if your submission centre also served as where you did your biometrics. That is: if you are submitting to Abuja and you did your biometrics in Lagos, you'd have to pay the transmission fee.

VFS sends to Accra, who will then submit to the high commission.

Addendum 1.
-2 recent port photos per person.
-Not older than 6 months
-In Canadian PR dimension (refer to photo chart)
-1 detailed copy with the name and DOB of the person at the back. Below that, write or stamp the Name
& address of photo studio with date photo was taken.
-A second copy for each person is left plain


Other Things to note:

1. Wait for the VFS tracking details— they will give you update on when it will be sent to IRCC and when it will be returned to you
2. Wait for the return of your port— VFS also uses DHL or any other courier to return.

Try to find abudhabi vfs email address online and mail them. I didn’t do it, so I don’t want to give wrong information. But someone there asked if we can submit from anywhere and he got a positive response.
