I was in traffic for more than 2hrs and this devil of a customer didn't see the need to call me to inform me that he don't need those items again
I reached peace mass and was negotiating with the driver about the waybill fee and that was when I saw this message below. Funny enough he also blocked me.

As for the wallpaper I can always get another customer that will buy it but the linoleum has been cut into the square meter he want. Selling it won't be easy but God will bring a customer that will buy it.

When this man knows he doesn't have money to pay for an item while ordering it and giving me unnecessary stress.

Vendors please take note of this, when a customer request for anything and he /she can't send money first please kindly ignore them . Most of them are time wasters.

Just ask God for insight into all before you make a decision.
I have also paid a vendor here on Nairaland for a good, which he failed to deliver...What the guy kept doing was to abuse me.
It is also proper not to pay before receiving the good.

That is one of the sad reality in online business especially when you don't have a well structured pay on delivery sales pattern to accommodate unavoidable loses due to irrational clients. My advise is, never you get too tempted to ship goods out without at least getting some financial commitment from the client. Pick & pay, pay & we send or pay % and we send. One can not also totally blame clients who insist on pay on delivery because of some obvious in the online world.

So bad, a number called me that he got my number on nairaland that he need aluminum window, that I should meet him at orchid road around eleganza by 6am, yet I still got to the location on time only to call the number that I was at the bus stop .. he didn't pick my call so I had to wait for like 2 hour before I decided to go back home sad that morning...

I think the guy is an affilliate marketer....it is also risky to send money to someone you dont know. Challenges of online businesses... always use excrow.

The first thing to do in this kind of business is to put mechanisms in place;
1. Mechanism to ascertain if your customer is willing and able to pay
2. Mechanism to intimate your customer on the and conditions of service in a reasonable way

This is for both vendors and customers.

By the way, I suspect this your customer had intention of buying but he is not the end s. He is merely doing "drop shipping".

Learn business policy 101. and experience tremendous change in your business

For me o, based on recent experience, I can only do POD within Lagos. Except it is a verified seller, one I have transacted with in the past without issues.

2) I would never send money to an individual . If you want to do business that would involve heavy sums, go get a corporate . I fit send 2k, 5k, maybe you dey sell pepper and tomatoes and I wan buy from your hand.

Very terrible people. Please always insist they pay before taking the item to them. I have learnt my lesson and won't want anyone to make the mistake I made. If they can't trust you with their money please don't trust them too.

No one can trust you with their money when they havent transacted with you before.
Its a 2 way thing. Some people have also sent money and got nothing in the past.
Inasmuch as i dont what the guy did, its just an experience u have to take.
I would advice u sell to people in lagos and ogun state for now.
When your service is tested and trusted, referals will come and people from other states can send money to u before delivery.
Presently, if u are not jumia, konga, or any reputable vendor, there is no way i will pay u before delivery.

Like, you didn't pick your call and didn't return the call.

you haven't sent the pictures to the person.

You didn't even tell the person when you were going to the park.

Cause the buyer had already messaged you not to worry again cause the real buyer is yet to send him money.

my thoughts though. marketers are the ones who usually request for all manner of videos and pictures and at the end will disappoint because they have one million plan B.
