firstly we need to convert the units from inches to mm then to m.

Therefore length = 252inches × 25mm = 6300mm÷ 1000 = 6.3m

Width = 9inches × 25mm= 225mm÷1000= 0.025m

Depth = 36inches ×25mm = 900mm÷ 1000= 0.9m.

Length = 6.3m
Width = 0.025m
Depth = 0.9m

Volume of the concrete = 6.3m × 0.025m × 0.9m = 1.28cbmtrs

Using ratio 1:2:4

Cement needed = 1.28cbmtrs ×1/7

0.182cubmtrs÷0.035( volume of cement} = 5.2bags approx. 6bags.

Sharp sand needed = 1.28cubmtrs × 2/7 =
0.367cubmtrs
Density of sand = 1602kg/cubmtrs
Density = mass / volume

Mass = Density × volume
Mass = 1602kg/cubmtrs × 0.367cubmtrs
Mass = 585.9kg
Sand is measured in tons ( 1000kg = 1ton)
Therefore 585.5kg/1000kg = 0.6tons

Granite needed = 1.28cubmtrs × 4/7
0.73cubmtrs
Density of granite = 2700kg/cubmtrs
Density = mass/volume
Mass = Density × Volume
Mass = 2700kg/cubmtrs × 0.73cubmtrs
Mass = 1974kg
Granite is measured in tons (1000kg = 1ton)
Therefore 1974kg/1000kg = 1.974ton approx 2tons.

Cement = 6bags
Sharp sand = 0.6tons
Granite = 2tons.

Maybe your house was plastered using gum plaster sand. Sometimes, buildings that was plastered using such sand tends to have cracks after some period of time.

Take you surveyor to the site. He needs no document as long as you're the genuine owner of the land.

Maybe your house was plastered using gum plaster sand. Sometimes, buildings that was plastered using such sand tends to have cracks after some period of time.

The guys that plastered it actually complained that the sand did not have gum and the Pop guys said the same about the sand .

2 things involved in plastering to get good results
- selection of materials sand/ cement
- professionalism.

Reason why I do go extra miles to get good results in all my plastering/ rendering work.

Check below diff states in Nigeria where I carried out some finishings and construction work.
You hardly see cracks. In difficult situations of getting good sand I do apply another methodology to get minimal tiny crack in one or two places if the work is gigantic one .

Any document that shows recent history on the land, but if there is none, no problem

A picture of the said crack will help give a more accurate answer

But here’s what I shared awhile ago on similar case

Possible Causes:
1) Foundation
"is the foundation done properly or better still if the right foundation type was used."

2) Ineffective bonding between the blocks and mortar

3) Plastering mix ratio

Remedy

Get a structural engineer to help you determine if the crack is a major or minor one.
If the latter is the case, before plastering, he should re add mortar to those crack lines in other to create a better bond between the mortar and block wall

Then nail chicken nets to that area before plastering as shown in the attached picture
