I see some 3D renditions here and I just shake my head. Not the slightest attention to ease of maintenance in the cause of use. Some designers tend to think that more outrageous designs (with so many maintenance bottlenecks) are testament to their prowess. What happens to maintenance. This is just lazy.

You are encouraged to make cause of use maintenance a fulcrum of your designs. Well done.

Point of corrections, many of those central AC in commercial building and offices are not real AC. The are called water cooled chillers, the are very affordabl
Easy to maintain. AC ‘s freon cannot travel far but Chiller can, all it’s require is water to chill into the system and transfer its to condenser coil’s to cool it’s way to the units and serve as the same as AC. I hope Nigerians one day will start using the resource prudently. I’m reading debate on water heater, does it make any economy sense to buy 10 to 15 water heater that you pay electric bill for life, instead of using solar water heater that could serve the same purpose without any electric bill for life, probably at the cost of less than 1million naira at current market rate with No electric bill for life. I laugh when I see people wasting their hard earned money when there is a technology that can take care of some need at cheaper cheaper rates

My brother Just by coincidence received 6 water cooled chillers I imported 3 days ago , it’s replacement for the units we were using , I am using all types of central Ac , it’s the water cooled ones , it’s the ducted - ceiling concealed ones , dx type

Only one I have not used is the vrf type , even that I have the full quotations for the Ac , installations and power requirements , comes with inverter type , reason I was interested in the first place

Each of the attached chiller gives 65kw of cooling , about 20kw power requirements each , the installation is expensive , the indoors unit are not cheap . Not an expert in any way but i know some things

apart from maintainability, which is very germane, one of the profound issue with centralised water heating system, is the heat loss due to the longer pipe length, other factors must also be taken into consideration, installation effort, investment costs, pipe lengths, comfort, energy and water consumption all play a major role,

Is like poswer consumption is minima compare to conventional type but the cost of purchase is high .

Maintenance and initial cost is high but efficiency is better especially for large space , but if you get conventional type that are inverters , might be ok .

You make a valid argument.

I had this issue in Texas. I solved it with a recirculating loop.

Very negligible power consumption. I can imagine a small solar pump can take care of this now.

This would be wonderful, price aspect i can't really say, mostly used to concrete and cement buildings, can't really say but 500k will go a long way, i did read about wood building designs perhaps you need the designs chat me up.

I don't know the size as the cost will depend on the desired dimension. However, in Nigeria a wooden built livable structure will be 30 - 40% more expensive than brick and mortar. So just envisage the cost of similar brick and mortar and add 40%. How?

Apart from the external wood cladding/rendering, you will most certainly have the same outcome as you would with brick and mortar.

So a brick and mortar foundation is certainly recommended. You will need to waterproof with breathable membrane, insulate against noise and heat then plasterboard internally (drywall).

All other fixtures and features are the same with brick and mortar and more: roof, electricals, plumbing, toilet, windows and doors.
