Update:
So i checked for air leaks as advised and i didn't see any though my check might not have been exhaustive. But i discovered that the air filter was not fixed properly and a hose to the engine has the clip on the on the body of the rubber instead of the mouth. So those two were corrected and i cleared the error code. It didn't come up for 3 weeks.

However, it (P0101) came up again on Easter Monday (last week), i cleared it, drove the car for a week. Then the check engine light was up again last night. Same error code P0101.

I also noticed the engine hesitates a little when i try to accelerate or when i want to start it.

Kindly assist.

dust off ur engine air filter,get mass airflow cleaner n clean ur mass airflow sensor,allow to dry n reinstall den clear error code

I did this all this earlier. Maybe i should repeat the process.

Replacing oil pump will not solve low oil pressure issues.

You have excessive clearance between crankshaft and bearings.

You need to do a major engine overhaul which will involve replacing the crankshaft or cutting it to next possible size and replacing bearings.

The issue of engine oil light and knocking sound has been resolved.

What he did was to loosen the engine completely. He changed the bearings and repack the metals with paper together with the crankshaft for a firm grip due to clearance as he said the crankshaft is still ok.

My car seems to work perfectly now but when I start engine in the morning, the car rpm raise high and dropped down gradually below 1000 until it jerks and power off. But when I raise the car for several minutes it picks and work normal.

Also, i noticed its consume fuel and makes a humming sound especially when engine is warm.

What could possibly be the issue again.

Thanks. It has been checked by my mechanic, he didn't see any leak too. I recently washed my radiator and AC condenser and I am still observing the situation.

Please guide on how do i can effectively do that? I only tried to trace, listen and use water on the air intake pipes which i believe might not be that helpful.

If your mdx is an awd, make sure the rear differential is disconnected from the transmission. To do this, disconnect the propeller, then tow with the front tyres off the ground. Do not tow that ride with the front tyres touching the ground. You will be buying a new transmission by the time you get to lagos.
