Hello everyone. Thanks for painlessly attending to questions thrown in.

I need to ask if it's compulsory to use the official transcript from school (The expensive one) for application or the normal student copy will suffice?

My thought is, if the student transcript copy is certified in court, it should fly.
Has anyone gone through this route before and was accepted by the university/ uni-assist?
Thanks.

I walked that path. It can be accepted by some schools but they will ask you to send the official transcript for enrollment. Uniassist however will reject it and they will ask you to the official transcript before your application will be reviewed which you have to do within the application deadline of the schools you are applying for, so I will encourage you to use the official transcript for all applications with Uniassist.

My uncle in is in need of atleast an acceptance letter from any school as aean d of bringing me in into
Please your advice and help will be appreciated.
Thank you

Don’t be discouraged by that. Get your atleast 7.0 IELTS Certificate and if possible a German language certificate. Apply to other courses related to your course, And also try schools that asks for tuition of €1500 per semester, get a good Statement of Purpose. Do not let anyone discourage you by saying your CGPA is low. Many factors are considered during application and each factor has its points. CGPA is just part of it but not 100% of it. The courses you studied are also considered individually.

now I get you. Your aunt is right in some aspects but let me explain it better for you.

First of all you get paid what you deserve be it zloty or euro. Poland is a well organized country as there are part of the EU.

Note euro is higher than dollar
Minmum wage in Nigeria is less than 100$

Ukraine is around 386$ (you work your head off to earn such amount + e no dey European union )

Poland is around 576€

is around 1'550€

Nigerians run to Poland and Ukraine

Ukrainians & Nigerians run to Poland for better life and European propect

Polish run to for more money they can earn. cheesy

Note poland is far cheaper than and since its just 2h drive won't you prefer to live in poland where things are cheap while you work in where you get paid more.

If you have lot of money go to

If you no get enjoy poland

Just as your aunt no belive poland, na so poland no belive Ukraine

And na so them Ukrainians no belive we Nigerians

cheesy smiles ***

first of all, your going abroad to get quality education that will help you. That the most important thing.

2) how do you know there are no jobs in poland. Try and read from page 80 of this thread

3) Before you make assumptions on any matter related to traveling abroad try and do a lot of research. Don't travel without proper research done.

4) sorry I understand you, life no balance at all . If your looking for easy life, going abroad is not for you. It is for people who are ready to get out of their comfort zone and face life, cause see this life where we dey live so wither na for 9ja or for yankee e hard.

Nice Points!

I’ll advice you to have enough money in your before leaving to Poland cuz it will be unwise for you to think that as soon you get to Poland you will find a job, Yes there are jobs in Poland but getting the job might be strenuous and will take some time

If your aunt husband who live in can say zloty is worthless, what will be his thought about naira ? My friend listen very good to avoid being stranded in no mans land, hold enough money before traveling so your mind will be at rest

Thanks

Are you asking a question ? Or you are here to tell us there’s no job in Poland ? The last time I checked, You comment about getting ission letter from University of Wroclaw and right now you sound like you r already in Poland, What’s the problem exactly?

Yes, like I said earlier, someone told me about Poland and I applied immediately to a school which I got AD. I started discussing it with my family and they made me to start having a rethink. My aunt’s husband lives in which is just a 2hrs drive from Poland and he said that Polish people usually go to in search of jobs and because they are paid in Euros too, that their zloty doesn’t have much value. I’m just thinking ahead on how to survive if I decide to go there as a masters student, because I won’t have any other from my family apart from the first year tuition.

If you are in Poland and you have a good advice for me on what to do, I will appreciate it. Thanks.

I’m really worried about the fact that there are no students jobs in Poland. If you even manage to find a menial job, they pay in their currency which is very small compared to Euro. Whereas, you pay house rents and other stuffs in Euro. Looks like a hard life for me. I just having a second thought. What will the Masters degree from Poland do for me?

You should ask the school about their refund policy, don't wait until they cancel your ission.
If they would refund your tuition in the case where the embassy doesn't open early enough, please go ahead and pay your tuition.
So many European countries have started visa applications, Poland should follow suit God willing.

Good idea. Thanks

Hello,
Someone told me about Poland just last week.
I applied at Uni Wroclaw last week and I got AL yesterday. I have not done anything yet. Not even the certification of documents at MOE/MFA And they just gave me 4wks to pay the tuition. The embassy’s website says that they aren’t issuing visa atm and they don’t even know when they will resume. I don’t know where to start from. I’m in Lagos I’m so confused right now

The school is located in Texas. I was also given a health insurance waiver. I was given an estimated cost of living of over 20,000 dollars, the reason for the deficit. I wonder why it is that high.

The estimated cost is not even high compared to some schools. If you have tuition waiver, it should cover 90% of the estimated cost per year. How did you come about the deficit?

The bolded is wrong. Your transcript is the number one determinant in ission. Test scores, LOP and recommendation letters are just ing element to boost your ission eligibility index.

Read the red circle on the attached image

For the last two years of undergraduate, you are right. Majority of schools use this criteria

All these depend on the school in question, that was why I said “sometimes”. And sometimes, one might be worried about his/her CGPA; seeing it as low without knowing that he or she actually did well during the last 2years, which is considered by many schools in the US.

Please whixh school will accept CGPA of 2.4/5 dont mind private school and pre-masters

Get your GRE and English tests high, sometimes they consider that more than your transcript. And the last 2years of your Undergraduate studies are considered too.

Hi guys! I hope I’m in the right thread for this question below:

*Please, it’s urgent*

Can I use someone who’s not related to me as a sponsor? If yes, how can I prove it? What documents do I need to provide?

Someone told me to use the person as my maternal uncle. Can I do that? If yes, what documents do I need?

What other options do I have

Please, I need help to get my I-20.

Thanks in anticipation

Hi,
I need some advice. I recently was offered ission to a school in US, they have asked me to send proof of funds so that I can receive my I20. My maternal uncle is my sponsor, and so, we bear different surnames. What other documents do I need to send along with his statement of . And how do I convince the VO about it in the future?
