@Crano, If you can only see dates in November, pick a date and use your emergency request except there's a clause to your application.I dont know why you can't see the dates especially August that is available now for Abuja and June for Lagos. It seems each applicant is shown different dates. Let the experts wade in pls. Alternatively, be patient and keep checking prayerfully. 1 Like |

temiidayo: After you your documents, You will be ed on to the Pre-approval stage. That stage is a pending request to allow you to schedule your interview dates. That's also the waiting phase, where you wait until you are approved with a mail informing you your request has been approved with instructions on how to proceed. You will still be asked some questions particularly if you have been refused a visa before and whether you have a valid visa and in what category. After answering those prompts, the last prompt gives you access to the dates after clicking on the location you want to be interviewed . I hope this answers your question. |

kharemorgan: Yes, there are dates based on what was allowed for us to pick from. Dates from yesterday till the 24th. For those that asked, MRV payments was done on the 21st of November(Thursday), got to the Pre-approval stage on the 25th(Monday). Granted approval to schedule on the 9th of Dec. |

Racael120: That's good news! Cheers guys. |

Chemist4life: Thank you. |

kharemorgan: Sincerely, like i had mentioned earlier, we had raised tickets, chatted the customer care of the embassy and even called, all to no avail. Just kept getting mails that the tickets have been published. Mind you, after ing the I-20, there was no encounter with error messages with our applications. However, when raising tickets, there were difficulties ing all the documents- I-20, screenshot of Avits page, Sevis fee receipt, DS-160, MRV PAYMENT RECEIPT. Eventually got past that by scanning all the documents to JPEG and resizing all of them into 1file less than 1MB. When ing before Pre-approval, files were in PDF but when raising tickets, we changed them to JPEG and were finally able to . Yesterday, we just did nothing but kept checking our portal. We ed Chemist4life saying he saw his approval after 6pm and so we checked about that time and saw a notification and voila! The pending approval request had been granted. We just noticed our tickets were being closed by the hour until one was left open. Unknown to us, we had been approved since afternoon. We were able to book 2 appointment dates together , same day and same time. I can't say we did anything special except to wait and pray in faith after ing our documents rightly on Friday. My inference is that except all your s and documents are specifically sent in the right format, your Pre-approval stage will be stuck.(I could be wrong). |

kharemorgan: What stage are you actually referring to? Have you ed the MRV and are already at the Pre-approval stage? |

kamsy101: Don't see any wahala, bikonu. My word or anyone's words cannot dictate or hinder your progress. Denial is not your portion, ok? I apologise for any misconstrued assertions. |

kamsy101: This post is why i asked the question. My apologies again. |

kamsy101: Pardon me, my apologies for the wrong assertion then. |

Chemist4life: Yes, I read your post and the DS-160 AA00E....saga which was seamless for us when it was time to submit. Definitely, God.I wish you all the best in your interview. Pls try not to cram answers or rehearse questions that you feel the VO may ask. Just dress nicely, be confident, practise with Argo & the rest Youtube videos. Calm your nerves even if others are being denied and relax to be able to hear and understand the questions posed at you. Many applicants don/t get to hear the questions and understand well b4 answering, they just their own rehearsed questions and answers which ultimately shows and leads to a denial. In all, may the favor of God go with you. N.B. Denial is not the end of dreams, but a bend in your journey which will ultimtely work together in your favor if you trust for God's best. |

kamsy101: If I may ask, I observed you were asking for ppl to post their interview transcripts, how come you didn't post yours? I sincerely empatize with you on the denial. |

Chemist4life: Thanks for your response. I actually followed the advice you were given by @college.......Only that you sent the V44 mail in the morning or noon and we did ours at night. I was so thrilled when i saw you had been approved and rushed to check our portal but it wasn't. Been checking and checking since then, sending mails, tickets, chatting, calling and praying..... I know our testimonies are around the corner. |

@kamsi101 Thanks for the insight. Actually did all the correspondence almost daily this week and have 10tickets and 0opened, called, created another ticket 7am this morning again, ing all the loadables and only keep getting mails that our requests have been published yet no change in the pre-approval stage yet. It is well. |

kamsy101: I asked because I thought your case was recent. I noticed that the scenerios are changing on a daily. There was a time period that those who used American dollar cards got faster approvals, 2weeks ago, none of those dollar cards were working. This week, people are complaining of using the cards and they are being debited without any confirmation receipts. So one must know the time and season and see what's working per time. There's also the case with Ds -160 forms with AA00E......Some got past it and some are still stuck there. In October when you applied, I don't think I read anyone's post about writing mails or raising tickets with the title-V44/V46. New information on navigating their systems are springing up day by day while the existing information are no longer yeilding favourable results. Just my observation... 1 Like |

Chemist4life: Hello Chemist4life, did you get a mail stating their approval of your interview schedule or you just stumbled on the approval in your portal? Raised tickets, chatted, called, ed docs and still awaiting their approval. Resumption date is on the 8th of January for my F1. |
![]() |
@ Kamsi101, I just noticed your approval is dated the 21st of October, are you saying your approval was on the 21st of October?

kamsy101: ok, thanks for this info. The quest is for Lagos applicants. MRV Payment was successfully done at First bank on the 21st Nov. which was a Thursday,( after trying to pay with different U.S cards and even Nigeria dollar cards on Wednesday) and were moved to Pre-approval stage on Friday, 22nd. Been stuck there since, despite raising tickets, chatting and calling both embassy and Avits staff, ing all documents as well as Sevis receipts. @Chemist4Life, been following the same proceedures with you and yet still at Pre-approval stage....well, as you said, plenty prayers needed right now. It must end in Praise. |

[quote author=Bobbyzuks post=132510405][/quoteBobbyzuks: Hello, I have a question concerning B1/B2 visitors visa I am a phD student currently living in the US. My husband who is on an F2 visa is living with me too. I am pregnant and I plan on bringing my mom over to do omugo for me when I give birth next year. Under the section who will sponsor her trip, is it wise to put my sister as her sponsor. Note: My mom has a flourishing business, but she doesn't have enough money in her since she uses her money to build houses and do investment immediate. Who do you think should sponsor her Her self my sister who works with CBN or Me (I am already taking care of my husband who is a dependent) Also I will appreciate any additionaltipsp or information that could help boost her application. Thank you. Herself. Is she filling her form by herself? If she is learned and can defend her thriving business, she should fill herself. She must dress the part and look wealthy, 99% of the time, statements are not asked for because they dont usually believe the documents applicants bring along. Her reason of visit is to witness and see her grandkid, which is a strong reason for visit and not usually denied except in some cases. Pls check Argo videos on Youtube to see how to answer questions for B1/B2 visas and use them to prepare her. All the best. Cheers and God bless y'all and your "Atinuke"(unborn baby). ![]() 1 Like |

J3nifer:Hello J3nifer, Since your port was returned and you were instructed to come with your port and an instruction included, you can schedule an appointment on the AVITS / Visa appointment website as also instructed. If in doubt or you are not able to do that successfully, you can try to chat or call the AVITS onsite agent to make inquiries. Yes, the location where you had your previous visa could be the reason as they may not have your biometrics as suspected but in any case be prepared for an interview. You were refused ,not denied so you have a shot at getting your visa renewed. Is this a B1/B2 renewal? Cheers and God bless you. |

J3nifer:Well, from experience, my niece was refused her IW and was asked to come for her biometrics. She was given a period to come in and that was all she did when she went to the embassy with her mum, Note- she just clocked 14 so if that's not your case, you need to post what was actually written on the paper you found in your port. so we can have clarity and assist appropriately. Also check your mailbox to be sure you didn't receive a mail inviting you to come in. Cheers. |

Hello blessed people, I don't know who this post may help but i will put it out here anyway. I applied for a renewal of my B1/B2 visa in April/May and got Nov. 5th this 2024 as my dropbox date. In July, I was rescheduled for Aug !st. I informed my hubby of the change in date and encouraged him to send in his for a renewal. Amazingly, he paid and got a date for the following week-19th July. So he travelled to Lagos to drop his application at DHL. The following week, with his visa issued, his port was ready for pickup at DHL PH. I travelled to submit mine on the scheduled date but was rescheduled to the 5th in the wee hours of the 1st of August due to #Endbadgovernance# protest. I finally submitted on the 5th and prayed my port to be returned with my visa before the commencement of their structural change. My dashboard indicated my port had been received and till the next month, it was stuck at that status. Finally, I checked on the 10th of Sept and the status read 'REFUSED!". Confused, I just smiled and prayed that it wasn't my portion. Undaunted, I started to search on Youtube the meaning of a refused status and eventually saw it wasn't a final verdict. I read a lot on how to answer questions relating to my case. Meanwhile, I wasn't told anything as to where to pick up my port nor my offence. I just kept praying and thanking God that the verdict would be upturned in my favor. i didnt even call the embassy in panic. Finally, i received an email (not spam) to appear on the 9th of Oct. @ 7am. Phew! I was excited that at last, i had a chance to speak or defend my case without paying another fee.. i got there and saw we were quite a number that had a refused status. Our ports were first returned to us on the queue and once received, you went back to the interview line. There was a guy infront of me who had dropboxed with his wife since late June, his wife got hers but he was also present. We were drilled like new applicants. I was asked what i was travelling for and why i had stayed up to 4months in my last trip. I explained why I had stayed longer than usual and after studying my DS160, and seeing no other inconsistency in my information, my visa renewal was approved that Wednesday. By Friday, I just used the link on OIS site to check for my port and it was ready for pickup, without any registration in Lagos( DHL PH was my initial return address). SUMMARY:; BE CONFIDENT AND KNOW THEY CAN DECODE YOUR FEAR. THEY CAN ONLY SAY"NO", THEY CAN'T KILL YOUR DREAM. ALSO, BE DILIGENT ,STUDY AND DO YOUR RESEARCH ON WHAT TO SAY AND RED FLAGS. VETO ALL THE INFO SUPPLIED HERE(on this thread) BECAUSE SOME MAY NOT APPLY TO YOUR SITUATION. WISH Y'ALL THE BEST IN YOUR ASPIRATIONS... TOH! Thank God it ended in testimonies, yours shall receive favor in Jesus' name. . 9 Likes |
