I initially thought the story wasn't making sense but from reading the experiences of other victims on this thread, I deduce that, maybe he called the young girl disguising as someone she knows and told her she would do a transfer to her. Asked if she knew any POS shop and that she should give the phone to the POS provider. She excitedly went to your shop and rushed to give your attendant the phone.

On phone he told your attendant that the girl had the money and that he is in a hurry and asked her to send it immediately which she did.

Just to add to the poster above, same scenario happy close to my place. The guy received a call to go and give POS the phone so as to send 50k to one which the first guy don't even know the caller but was just trying to help out not knowing he is be a victim. The POS attendant send the money hoping to get the money from the first guy which the guy said he thought the caller know the POS lady. It was the guy that later cough out the 50k.
It's exactly what happened..I don't just know how these scammers do this �

I went to the bank..they requested for court order and also told me the probability of getting the money back is very slim. I didn't just want to pay 5k for court order and at the end I get nothing.

She had only a torchlight phone with her..it's all banded with rubber rings. The girl lives in the same area where my pos stand is. Her mother sells fruits by the same junction. They were both just crying and begging me not to involve the police

I ventured into POS business last month so as to myself. Today I was scammed of 49,000�. So I just want to inform other people out there to be careful of the new format scammers are using.
I stepped out of my stand shortly to get food, so I left my younger sis in the stand. According to her a girl came to deposit 49,000, the girl told my sister the caller wanted to speak to the pos operator,so the person started calling out the number, my sister inputted the , confirmed the name and sent the 49,000 thinking that the girl will be the one to give her the money. Next the girl started crying that she dsnt even know the caller. The both started calling the person and the person blocked them both. I am really devasted, I don't even know where to start from. I have not even recovered the money I used in setting up this business and now this�. Please you all should be careful.
