To amplify one of Alhaji Yahaya Bello's selling points, security, the Bello Ambassadors Network (BAN), one of Nigeria's largest socio-political groups dominated by the youth, has stated that among many benefits Nigerians stand to gain if they vote for Mr. Bello is a robust security architecture.

Nigeria, the most populous country on the African continent, is known for its failing security system, which has negatively impacted the country's overall growth, prompting the people to yearn for a drastic change.

According to BAN, if Nigeria improves its security system, every other sector will improve. It stated that Nigeria does not require anyone who makes empty promises, but rather an experienced individual such as Governor Bello.

The group stated that Nigerians no longer need to rely on words to choose their leaders, as this has repeatedly failed the people. According to them, Bello already has a security model that can be replicated at the national level.

BAN through its national coordinator, Hon. Anthony Edogbo made all these known to the media as part of its sensitization follow-up ahead of the presidential election.

According to reports, Kogi, which is located in the heart of the country, was plagued by insecurity prior to the election of Bello as governor of the state in 2015. The current governor is said to have completely fixed Kogi security, and the state is now known as one of the most secure in the country.

Bello declared his intention to run for president in 2023 earlier this month, and the campaign has gained traction, with the youth taking it upon themselves to usurp power from those they refer to as "recycled old politicians."

It is believed that Bello is the only presidential candidate in Nigeria who can withstand the country's deteriorating security situation.

The Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, has attributed the recent massacre of 19 soldiers, five policemen and 68 of a vigilante group, Yan Sa Kai, in the Zuru Emirate of the state by bandits, as an act of God.

According to him, the deceased were destined to die that way.

The soldiers were killed by the daredevil bandits who attacked their barracks on Tuesday while the vigilante ran into an ambush mounted by the heavily armed bandits on Sunday, after an informant had reportedly leaked their movement to the terrorists.

The bandits had also ransacked five communities in the Zuru Emirate, killing five policemen and some residents as well.

But while on a condolence visit to the family and colleagues of the slain soldiers at the 1 Battalion Dukku Barracks in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital on Friday, Bagudu said their deaths was destined to happen that way.

“As Muslims and Christians, we all believe in destiny. The recent happenings are destined by God, we pray that God will avert future occurrence,” Bagudu said.

“We fervently pray for the repose of the souls who died and once again sympathise with their families,” he added.

The governor also wished other persons injured in the attack, wished them quick recovery while he prayed for “restoration of lasting peace and tranquility to Kebbi and Nigeria at large.”

Bagudu, alongside other top government functionaries including the Secretary to the State Government, Babale Umar-Yauri and Acting Head of Service, Sufyanu Garba- Bena, also attended a special prayer at the barrack’s central Mosque for the “restoration of peace and for the repose of the souls of victims of the attack.”

An independent investigation on Friday ordered the chairman, National Drug Laws Enforcement Agency, Buba Marwa, to produce disgraced police officer, Abba Kyari, on March 22.

The also ordered that the new commandant of the IGP-IRT, Tunde Disu, to ensure that Mr Kyari was produced before the on the aforesaid date.

Adupi Orokam is set to elect their first Ever Ogbadibo Local government chairman, since its creation. Adupi Orokam popularly known as Ai-Idoga has never produced an elective Chairman of Ogbadibo Local Government Council before.

It was indeed for Idoga as the two major and biggest political parties in Africa unanimously micro zoned their party tickets to the community for equity and fairness

Last week, APC zoned their party tickets to orokam ward 1 and ward 1 unanimously micro zoned it to Adupi Orokam.

The leadership of the party unanimously adopted a consensus candidate of Hon Francis Idoko.

In the same vein, the PDP leadership micro zoned her ticket to Adupi, and Adupi adopted David Abah Umoru, but the decision of the party was objected to by some contestants across ward 1.

As we all know, before the party arrived at a consensus, all the candidates must accept the party's decision.

Hon Fred, Hon. Emani and Chief Mike Igoche all petitioned the ward's party decision, but for peace and fairness, the Local Government party leadership has to speak with the aggrieved contestants and all of them stepped down for David Abah Umoru at the Ogbadibo party caucus meeting.

At 11th hours, the suspended incumbent Chairman Hon. Prince Onuh disagreed with the party's decision and vowed to use all his might and connections to make sure the long-time zoning formula the good people of Ogbadibo enjoy was destroyed. He turned the peaceful meeting to raudy section, but the party caucus unanimously held their ground and adopted David Abah Umoru for Ogbadibo Number 1 job.

The embattled chairman thereafter petitioned the party decision to the governor.

Immediately, the Governor called for an emergency meeting and told Hon prince Onuh out of his pool of wisdom to step down his candidacy for the people's candidacy of David Abah Umoru.

In commemoration of its official inauguration on February 20th at the Merit House, Abuja, last year, one of the currently leading political groups in Nigeria, the Bello Ambassadors Network, a group formed to champion the actualization of a youthful president through the governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello come 2023, has made available information about its hip strength so far and what it has been able to achieve within one year of "rigorous" activities across the 36 States.

BAN which has officially inaugurated its state excos in about 16 states said governor Bello is the fittest person to help the youth actualize their dreams of taking over power which has been denied for many years. It said the organization has been able to make young Nigerians realize that their time has come and that it is now and through governor Bello.

On why it chose governor Bello, BAN made it known in the statement that Bello has all the qualities of the leader needed to fix the country, stating that the governor has religious tolerance which he displayed by building the first chapel in the Kogi State government house for Christians as well as creating peaceful co-existence among the religions in the state.

It also said that Bello is the most detribalized leader in the country as the governor's cabinet is said to be made of several tribes in the country. It mentioned the giant strides of the governor in the area of security and education.

A group known as the Yemi Osinbajo Group Ambassadors (YOGA) ed with The Progressive Project (TPP) which serves as a body harmonizing all-pro-Osinbajo groups ahead of the 2023 presidential election, has revealed its plans to move into the grassroots across the country in mobilizing for the aspiration of Professor Yemi Osinbajo to become the next president of Nigeria.

YOGA in its maiden press briefing in Abuja earlier the week noted that it aimed at becoming the foremost body fronting the actualization of Osinbajo's presidency come 2023.

The governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has met with a young Lagos-based artist who made an art of the governor and displayed it via Instagram pleading for shares to get the attention of the governor.

Mayowa, a secondary school student, had on the 21 of December 2021, drew and ed the artwork depicting governor Bello in northern, southern, and eastern attire, connoting the governor's "unifier" title.

The post made via the Instagram handle cridarts, had about 473 views.

In the post, the young artist wrote, "I did a painting of Governor Yahaya Bello @officialgybkogi. Pls guys help me tag @officialgybkogi until he sees this," tagging several personalities and media houses like @instablog9ja, @krakstv, @mufasatundeednut, @pulsenigeria247, @yabaleftonline, @goldmynetv, and @officialgybkogi.

Receiving the apparently elated artist in Abuja on Wednesday, Bello offered him a life-time school scholarship. The governor said he is pleased with the creativity and talent of the young man and would be available to see him through in his academics.

Bello is known for appreciating creativity and encouraging young people. He is said to be the only governor in Nigeria whose cabinet is made up of over 70% of youths.
