Tinubu just wants serious growth and development for Nigeria and Nigerians.
Swesterners have proven to be the best s and growth entrepreneurs.
He just put them especially where we urgently need growth.
Things got worse after the removal of subsidy and Nigeria needs to grow fast.
Let us be patient.Things have begun to look positive even if we are not there yet.
We surely will be triumphant.

A simple search of major sources of cotton in Nigeria shows that cotton comes mostly from the North. Why not decentralise development by siting this factory in a place where there's access to raw materials? This is something taught in basic Economics class.

When people come to power, they want to grab everything for their people without considering the feasibility of such projects. That's how they used politics to site a refinery in Kaduna that has no crude oil wells. I shake my head at this country!

The simple search,sir.

Katsina State is known as the largest producer of cotton in Nigeria, producing between 90,000 and 100,000 metric tons annually. Additionally, other states like Kano, Kaduna, Oyo, Ondo, Kwara, Jigawa, Ogun, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara are also involved in cotton production. The North-East region, specifically states like Adamawa, Yobe, Borno, Gombe, and Bauchi, is also considered a significant hub for cotton production, with the National Agricultural Seeds Council (NASC) stating that they have a long history of cotton farming since colonial times.

Na wa o. Biggest refinery in the world (single train), and now biggest cotton processing factory in the world.

This country is just codedly rising.

It's really just a matter of time before these developments begin to translate to real benefits for people on ground.

Nigeria building the world's biggest cotton factory in Iperu, Ogun State

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu will unveil the biggest cotton and polyester processing factory in the world at the Special Agro-Processing Zone located at the Gateway International Airport, Iperu/Ilisan area.

Abiodun said this while receiving the former ant General of the Federation (AGF), Mrs. Oluwatoyin Madein, and of the Iperu Development Association in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

He explained that the factory, which is under the “Renewed Hope Cotton Resurgent Initiative,” would sit on 400 hectares of land and employ about 250,000 people daily.

“We are clearing the site, and this factory is going to sit on 400 hectares of land. It is like a whole new town. The requirements to this industry can best be imagined. The economic impact on Iperu and its environs, the entire Remoland, Ijebu land, and the whole of Ogun State is beyond imagination,” he said.

He said that apart from the cotton industry, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has also indicated interest in siting a base in the town to secure not only the airport but also to provide adequate security to Iperu and the ading towns.

Explaining the rationale behind the siting of the airport at Iperu, Abiodun noted that the town is at the central point of the state, which could be easily accessible from any part of the state, adding that the 100 housing units built by his istration at the Airport Housing Estate would soon be commissioned.

The governor said the government has embarked on the reconstruction of the old Ibadan and other township roads while public schools and primary healthcare centers were renovated, and a mother-and-child hospital was brought to the town.

That is because talk is cheap.
I can argue with you till tomorrow that I am richer than Adenuga even when I know myself that I am lying.
When time to prove comes,I will disappear.
This is what Igbo people usually do when they come against Yoruba in comparison of achievements.
They are all mouth without substance.
It is usually a shame to the adolescent Igbos.

Please don’t ever mention Ibadan and Enugu in the same sentence again. Enugu is very advanced in development when compared to Ibadan.

This is Enugu.
Ok let us leave pictures that can be manipulated by editing or posting the same location from different angles which Igbos always do because they have scanty buildings in their region.
This a competition you Igbos always run from because you know that Ibadan is more developed than the entire SE Igboland.
I dare you to take the challenge if you have the balls.

After Lagos, there is nowhere that is as developed as Ibadan in Nigeria.

I have been to the East,West,North and a few of SS states.I am always overwhelmed with awe anytime I visit Ibadan.

So, if toiletries, tiles, pipes , doors aren't building materials, then what are they? Tell me. You've simply agreed to my submissions. If you remove those item's you mentioned from a building, what's left are the iron, sand and cement. In my previous post, I mentioned that igbominas, especially oro people sell iron cos I bought iron from them in different mms. How many of them are selling those items you and i mentioned and in wholesale?Where did I lie seamlessly? I bought Stevo doors which is a known quality Turkish security doors at odunade shopping complex. Stevo is popular at odunade and he's an ibo man. We don't sell doors as much as ibos do. You can quote me anywhere. A whole building of 3 floors are occupied by doors only at odunade. Cross to the other side of the new pedestrian road and you'd see several warehouses where home wares are stocked by ibos.

How many of adedoyins and oyin jolayemis do we still have around and I'll mention plenty of ibos who are manufacturers in lagos alone, actively. Where's okin biscuit today? Where is doyin cubes, etc? Most of the banks are owned by ibos, hotels, transportation companies, indigenous breweries, indigenous pharmaceuticals, agribusiness,Computers wares and electronics, Oil and gas, name it. How many Yorubas are trading at alaba market? What of ASPAMDA and Tradefair? Alaba alone will swallow those areas you mentioned. Its where I've also been severally as lagosian We used to be known for such businesses but not anymore.

We're now more of s than industrialists and we need to go back. Where's adebowale electronics today? Ibos have taken over that line. Odutola tyres nko? Go to alaba and see wonders. Eleganza had ventured fully into properties with less manufacturing. Don't forget, the topic is about ibos taking over houses and property in Ibadan. In same vein, they're taking over most of the indigenous businesses in which we used to be a leader.

Don't talk of overseas businesses and those who own them cos they contribute nothing to Nigerian economy and most of them don't claim Nigeria. Its totally irrelevant to this topic.

I don't deal in long lying epistles.
You agreed that Igbos have no tangible business abroad.
Yorubas have many.

You agreed Igbos have no business that is up to 48 years.
Yorubas have firms that are more than 100,90,80 years and still kicking.

Adebowale Electronics still exist and so is Eleganza. He does most of the chairs and tables you use nowadays. They have also gone into Real estate.

To cut long story short, name just 30 Igbo billionaires with the websites of their businesses (you will not be anle to because you dont have) and I will name 100 Yorubas billionaires with the websites of their businesses.
It is on nairaland here.
Yorubas trump you Igbos in almost all aspect of endeavors.

Igbomimas, especially the oro people are petty-traders in building materials and iron scraps they also sell hand tools. When we talk of major building materials, go to Odunade-Coker at mile 2 and see things. I used to people like you to beat chest until I visited that place. The 90% of the shops there is owned by igbos. A yoruba man owns the odunade/coker complex. That's where I bought all the materials for my house at alimosho.

The agbeni-ogunpa market in Ibadan, that used to be occupied by yorubas are now being taken over by igbos. There was a man called shangokoya in those days. He was the sole importer of lister engine which was mainly meant for grinding casava and corn, from india. It's an old invention. The engine uses 2 drums filled with water to cool it down, it has a long wide belt connecting the engine to the grinder if you still it. Some used to convert it to an electric generator in those days. Mr shangokoya became old and his children couldn't continue. That was how the business stopped. Ibos have taken over already. Go to all our villages. Boys have abandoned farming ,now doing okada business in the cities instead of learning the type of trading ibos are doing and taking the skills home to establish. How many ibos do okada transport? Their people will scold then.

The last time I travelled to my maternal grandmother's town in ekiti, most of the shops I visited to buy things were owned by ibos. One of them has a petrol station there. If he builds a mansion in my town today, they'd envy him instead of blaming boys who grew up in that town but doing okada transport in the city. As they're leaving for cities, ibos are tapping the opportunities they're leaving behind. There's no way people won't build houses, buy parts, buy drugs if they fall ill. Those boys don't see all these but quick and daily okada money. Who do you blame for that, still ibos? Our orientation needs to change, seriously.

lol
Look at lies that you are spinning seamlessly.
I stayed in Coker. I lived at Fatimoh close in Coker village where most of the Igbos who do business at Odunade live.
They don't sell building like the ones I mentioned there. They sell mainly toiletries, water machines, pipes, tiles etc.
Most of what they sell are imported by Doyin industries who always import 15,20 etc containers every now and then and this is where they mostly buy from.
I am very privy to the doings in the sector of building materials.Yorubas dominate it 95%.
Where you can see building materials include Lagos Island,Pelewura,Sura,Owode onirin,Orile,Ladipo in Orile Iganmu,Oluti etc.
You will hardly see Igbos except a very few.
The fuel chain market, new and old vehicles are also 70% dominated by the Yorubas.
Igbos are mainly petty business people.

Let me see if you know what business really is or you are just clowning.
If you think Igbos know business up to Yorubas...
1.Name just one Igbo business that is up to 48 years and I will give you Yoruba businesses that are more than 100,90,80 years and still kicking.
2.Name just one tangible Igbo businesses abroad and I will name more than 10 Yoruba businesses, most multibillion dollars businesses.
I still have more only if you can that.
I don't even think that you are Yoruba because it is Igbos that lie like this.

You may be right but every tribe is also guilty of such crimes. True or false? The onus is on us to learn from them legitimately. How many Yorubas are selling car or car parts at ladipo or elsewhere? What of building materials? These are regular needs and money spinning business areas we're not looking into. You don't need juju or rituals to thrive in it. Only a few of our people who ventured into it never regretted it. I don't need ti mention names. You know them. I'll remind you of Elizade,.metropolitan, etc. They're billionaires today.
Yorubas, mostly the Igbomina from Kwara state dominate the building materials market in NigeriaThey are the ones who deal in blocks, iron rods, mesh wires, paints, ceilings, timbers, plywood, nails, corrugated iron sheets, cement etc.
They don't only deal in them, they manufacture in Nigeria too.
Yorubas also dominate the fuel chain market in Nigeria.
85% of fuel stations etc are owned by Yorubas.
Not to talk about vehicles, mother care, jewelleries etc.

It's natural to migrate, same in my village in Imo, Yorubas are everywhere mostly into building, and keep marrying our girls. Change is constant
Yorubas in the SE are just a handful and they always come back to Yorubaland.
Igbos are fleeing their Igboland. They are in their millions in Yorubaland and they are still coming.
Americans and Britons are crying for their govts to deport the immigrants because their number is getting larger and larger everyday.
When visitors' population begins to overwhelm that of the owners, then there is a looming danger especially if the visitors have negative tendencies.
Ofemannnu: 4:54pm On Jun 06
Igbos always thinking that Yorubas are superior and richer than them and the only way they can ridicule Yoruba is to say that they have bought up their land...lol
Yet Yoruba continue to dominate all money-spinning sectors like Education,Music,ICT,Nollywood,Real business etc leaving only petty business for them.
