They have always been there. Maybe you were lucky not to come across one. In my HND1 in Nekede (2011), a lecturer in mechanical department assaulted me beyond what this one did here. He grab me on my neck, slapped me, blow me, and kicked me countless times. I couldn't fight him because the students that were around were ing him even without knowing what happened. He got angry because I went to his office and saw a girl sitting on his laps. He said I should have knocked, but since the door was partially opened, I thought there was no need.
I pity those who still go to higher institutions nowadays and after all the pressure, suffering, sexual molestations and assaults they face, they'll graduate and come out, and after a few years, they'll realized that going to school was totally unnecessary, and all their suffering was completely in vain.
