In the Catholic Church, before a bishop dies, be it bishop of Rome or bishop of any diocese, he leaves some names of people whom he thinks can succeed him, these names can come from anywhere and from any tribe. It is left for the people of the diocese, the pope and other faithfuls to pray and select someone amongst the names presented by the late bishop.

In aharia diocese, the same procedure was carried out but not one of those presented by the late bishop was picked, instead a priest was appointed bishop from a completely different place, he has never been to our diocese, he hasn't been there even for Apostolic work.... Nothing.

This said priest was RUMORED to have been promised to be Bishop by the cardinal that was of the diocese after the bishop died.

Rumor aside, Bishop chikwe was the first bishop of the diocese. it really isn't a problem of where he was from, the issue is that why was all the priest that exist in aharia boycotted completely and a priest from a visiting land come to be bishop.

To be bishop, u should have some level of communication with the people you have come to rule,they should have known you and trusted you and can look up to you as their Father and Bishop. However bringing in a stranger into the diocese not as a visiting priest but as a bishop WITHOUT NOT EVEN AN EXPLANATION ON WHY THE NORMAL PROCEDURE WAS BOYCOTTED is not fair.

Mbaise is 98% Catholic with the rest been protestants... We value our priest alot and our bishop too, we look up to them for guidance and also as mentors and role models. They are FATHERS. bringing a stranger to become the Dad of our home wasn't accepted and strongly rejected by the people,he is a square peg in a round hole.

Some of these articles are just written to fuel hate, tribalism and persecution complex. All tribes have been stereotyped in Nigeria, and the Igbo's are not innocent of making stereotypes or hating others.
Yoruba's are seen generally as betrayers and fearful people, lgbo's are seen as greedy people who can do anything for money, Hausa's are generally hated as violent illiterate Muslims, Edo people are generally hated and stereotyped even by Igbo's in places like Italy because of the prostitution there and runs carried majorly by them.

The matter is not between Paul Emeka and Rev. Chidi OKOROAFOR, it is matter between Rev Paul Emeka and the church.
The summary of the matter is that
Rev Paul was elected as the General Superintendent the same day other EC (Executive Committee) were elected also. Assemblies of God does not have a G O like other Pentecostal churches but the GS consults other EC member before decisions are made. Rev Emeka was managing the affairs of the church like G O.

Rev Emeka unilaterally dissolved the governing body of the church's university (Evangel University), sacked all the principal officers against NUC guidelines. When he was cautioned, he refused that nobody can control him or tell him what to do.

This is the beginning of the crises.

So funny because even Peter and Paul refused to be worshipped. They preferred the simple title APOSTLE. Reason being that people regarded them as next to God because of how much they were used by God to perform miracles, teach doctrines and spread the gospel.

But they showed great humility. Peter remained a fisherman despite the fact that he didn't need to work for money. I doubt if Peter himself would have agreed to be called a SAINT in his lifetime.
