I have formatted it several times still no solution.

Too bad. I won't say you have not got yourself an original one, I'd just say it's corrupted cool

I have experienced similar in the past, particularly with SanDisk (in fact, 3 different ones) till I got a NORMAL one. Even when you copy videos or audio, not all play when you try them out on the phone.

If after formatting it still gives you the same result, then I will advise you get another one.

There are natural trends and artificial trends. The unexpected sometimes is what trends so do not waste time creating stories in order to trend. Just be original in order to #KeepTheChange

mmc has done me strong thing too. In my own case, alot of my photos and videos are not accessible any more, and the card sometimes freezes the phone. I run my phone without a memory card now. I just transfer my content to my laptop.

It's an original sandisk card. It did not even last up to 6 months.

I was going to ask if it was original but that's pretty redundant. What exactly does the MMC show when it appears on the PC? If you format this card and transfer content to it, does the same thing occur? Are your files corrupted again?

2 simple reasons I stopped using an sd card

1. It makes your phone lag..

2. virus attacks
Of course almost
p. s :I'm not saying you shouldn't buy a memory card, all I'm trying to say is that..next time when getting a new device, go for those with big internal memory so that you can avoid the stress of buying an sd card and also the consequences that comes with it.

1. Making your phone slow depends on what exactly is in your memory card and this is not limited to the SD cards. Phone manufacturers are well aware of what the phone's memory can take and that's why each phone has a maximum external storage capacity.

2. Have you seen or experienced virus attacks that affect phones? A virus attack is also not limited to SD cards.

A phone with a big memory is not always the solution. An external storage device is called EXTERNAL for a reason. Aside being a backup tool, it is also used for convenience sake. As much as Google etc is trying to make us embrace the cloud option, some of us are averse to it. No storage space is immune to attacks except you #WannaCry! To each his own

Which job? Is it the job of photographing skydyvers or do you consider sitting on top of the world with trusted parachute strapped to your back as a job? It's just an hubby, no one employs you to do that.

I actually thought the OP was referring to those who cleaned windows of skyscrapers.

But these days people don't read comic books again , rather they go for the Japanese counterpart which is manga because they are more diverse and creative

Perhaps a Nigerian story is something different from the usual. Different setting too

I reside in mkd and i am an Idoma man but one thing i know is that fulani or hausa men within makurdi town are peace loving people, you will hardly hear any negative thing about them. Some of them their activities in some rural areas is very bad, but that dose not give us the guarantee to tag all crimes committed in benue on them or else we may be chasing shadows. OP the info is not complete you have to tell us where in makurdi the incident happen and how it happen

You're right. When the Boko Haram attacks started circa 2008/9, every crime was attributed to them (even those done by politicians or other citizens). Happily, Boko Haram claimed every attack including the ones that had nothing to do with them. It's a lazy trend to tag each incident to a particular group. Just like tagging any murder in Ikorodu, Lagos to the Badoo group because they have been responsible for recent deaths.

Some journalists do not investigate and we have it worse now with social media posts where anyone can claim any damage through a picture and comment without INVESTIGATION.

So, if I have issues with a personality, I would avoid any of his quotes Abeg, there is no correlation.

Did the OP say his former teacher didn't meet the requirements? Who on earth wouldn't pick his teacher for a job? He helped mold into your present person. If you say your teacher is not qualified, then you're indirectly telling the company that you're not qualified too.

In fact, among the applicants, he's the only one he could vouch for and does not have to ask that boring question of "tell us about yourself" by most interviewers.

What do you think the company would say if he picked another candidate and the candidate failed? It will also rub off on him. So, there's even a justification for him to pick his teacher and take the blame when he fails than take same blame for people who have not "imparted" in his life.

What happens to the spirit of "take a bow and go"?

You know, normally I will not respond to some comments because people are entitled to their opinions. More so, the teeming population of young people here who are probably not exposed to such things do not warrant a response as the forum is more of a playground and fantasy league to them. My dear, what you are simply doing here is all JUSTIFICATION, QED. You should have asked him, how many minutes did he spend with the others? Would he have behaved differently if someone ed him in the interview or there was a CCTV camera in there? I would have written more but this guy here just summarizes it for me:

joey150:
I just have one simple question to put out there;

If my Uncle is in a public position where he can influence recruitment, and he ends up giving all his nephews and nieces a job appointment; 1.we are qualified and 2. He knows our abilities.

Now to those of you out there who applied and didn't get a fair chance to contest for that same job, how Would you feel?

Please if you answer this honestly, then case closed!

Divine arrangement right? Well pray you are not on the opposite side of that "arrangement" one day. Because God is a just God. According to what i was taught.

:::--- The truth did not help to heal the conscience of Uthman Dan Fodio when he led other Jihadists to exterminate innocent people who hesitated forceful conversion to Islam. He also planted his stooges in all "conquered" communities. Is that not Crime against humanity and utmost Nepotism? Things are easier said than done. Thanks.

Seeing no nepotism here..one is he was qualified for the job,he's open to have the job..the probability of him being chosen among others is same with others.had it been,he wasn't qualified for the job and u gave it to him, would have been different.
Even God himself would have been angry with u if u didn't give him that job...he's prayers turned the situation of the interview to be like that.this is literally meaning of help and favour

The question is, was that a dishonesty for me to have picked him as there were 2 people who had professional certification ahead of him?

If the professional certification was NOT a necessary requirement/standard for the post, no problem. Nonetheless, there is still a bias by the OP as he spent 30 minutes chatting and 5 minutes doing the actual work which is why it is better to avoid such situations - you won't treat them objectively because of your bias.

In such threads, I am not perturbed by those who (and this is not referring to you chiscodedon) insult you or tell you that "na baba God", "who professionalism epp", "u fit do am if na your bro?", "get rich or die poor" and the likes. Recently, someone's incident has shown us how even criminals will pose with exotic items generated from fraudulent income and still say "Baba God, u don do am for your boys".

What you are seeing here is a SOCIETY THAT HAS COME TO ACCEPT CORRUPTION AS NORMAL. Religion and other bases are just the manipulative thoughts to justify the wrong. Ironically, these people will blame politicians and leaders alike for favoring their lot while they cannot avoid what they condemn. Like they say, it is easy to throw stones when you are outside the glass house.

I am putting this out there so that some people (especially younger ones) are not misguided and really, I am not even moved or disturbed by differences in opinions - SAYING IT AS IT IS. He has given a context and provided basis for his decision. Imagine the other guys reading this and in their minds, like NL job seekers, they believe nothing works in Nigeria because they are qualified for certain jobs but are never picked as a result of favoritism.

We all have different moral codes and let yours guide you - to each his own. Good luck manson5011

He is entitled to such celebrations but just like most of our politicians, they are not sensitive to people's feelings. They do not usually consider most times that as public figures, their actions do have meanings no matter how little. Rivers United played the following day and as Nigerians club football is presently setup, State Governments own most FCs. So, imagine how 'encouraged' the RU players would have felt seeing this before their own CL match the following day after Real's win Real won on Saturday night, Rivers lost on Sunday.

Very unprofessional. You don't bring emotion into things like this.

ed. Where you realise that you have a conflict, simply step aside or have someone else do this.

We all know we have biases and I totally understand the moral part the OP is trying to make but what OP does not realise is that, this is NEPOTISM. Nepotism is also a form of CORRUPTION.

Just to emphasise, nepotism is "the practice among those with power or influence of favouring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs".

The irony or negative consequences of such actions is that the candidate's future performance or character can rub off on you or affect productivity later.

Nigerians compromise truth using religions and the likes but the truth remains the truth no matter whose ox is gored. Like UDF will say

"Conscience is an open wound, only the truth can heal it” - Uthman Dan Fodio

See the news I saw...

Seems TVC is restructuring

The Board of Continental Broadcasting Services Ltd. (CBS), owners of Television Continental (TVC) and Radio Continental, wishes to confirm a restructuring of its group companies. This restructuring is geared towards repositioning the business for better and greater delivery of its services to audiences and rs alike. In line with these changes we are reconfiguring our workforce as part of the rationale to achieve our objectives.

145 people will be affected by today's announcement.

We wish to make clear that our core channels consisting of TVC News Nigeria, TVC Entertainment and Radio Continental will now become the main focus of our business going forward where we will deliver high quality news and entertainment programmes to our audiences and rs across Nigeria and beyond. The winding down of TVC News Africa will allow us concentrate on these key areas of our business.

The CBS Board of Directors has also approved substantial new investment in our staff across the group of companies which will enable us substantially enhance our news and current affairs output on TVC News, entertainment programming on the market leading TVC general entertainment channel and our key radio asset Radio Continental.

For those staff affected by today's announcement the Board of CBS Ltd. has approved a generous severance package in addition to a programme of assistance to enable them seek new employment.

For me, I think they got it wrong by expanding artificially. They should have focused on Nigeria first and gradually grow to 'Africa'. I was surprised when I saw their African reporters and learnt they were actually their staff. I was like, these guys have money. Question is, what drives them? Who's their competitor? Where do they aim to be?

Like I have stated in previous threads, TVC is tainted by ownership bias but gradually, if they push things right, they will turn it into a strength. Of all local stations, they are presently the ones giving Channels a run for their money. I feel they should focus on first 'kicking' Channels of the perch before Africa what have you. It takes time but consistency prevails and they've got funding behind them. In summary, the Africa option was wasteful expenditure, which if was used to fund the Nigerian stations, will aid growth.

before I finish eating those imam don start! the baffling part is the kind of "surah" the imam recites, instead of surah like "nas" falaq and all d brief ones the guy will be using surah like yasin, harma' baqarat n extremely long ones

The Qur'an was revealed in Ramadan so it is not ODD to find out those who 'honour' this by completing each juz during the month. What does it cost you? At worst, one hour and some minutes which is not even up to a football match which we not only view for 90 mins but watch pre and post match analyses. There are different kinds of masjids during this time. However, it is important to that whether short or long surah, the recitation should not be rushed. Most of us are guilty of being lazy. The only way you'll enjoy such long surahs is when you are also reading along or you understand what's being recited.

The title of this thread is misleading and mischievous.

She has an opinion based on the proper statistical measures (hint: "...all the statistics seems to suggest that..." ).
You want her to make a more confident declaration when the trends in the stats are not cut-and-dried??

I can understand folks like Wisebird22 getting excited; they probably came to this thread as I did: expecting to see how Adeosun messed up. Well, she didn't, so please edit this dishonest title!

This thread just shows you what happens in typical newspaper stands in Nigeria - headline discussions. I deliberately read through the thread to see if there's still hope in Nigeria and your comment proved me right.

What's evident from responses in this thread is that Nigerians are not apolitical when it comes to analysis. It will be unfair to analyse her statement based on "I think" when the follow-up statements made sense. NBS came out the other day to announce that only NBS can officially declare us out of recession but you see proffemi, we have those who are ignorant and simply hate the government irrespective of whatever is said and those who know better but political bias will spur them to pander on unnecessary vile against Adeosun.

I see nothing wrong in her statement and the comments (though everyone is entitled to his or her opinion) insulting her show the level of maturity and analysis we have on NL today.

The worrying part for me here is the punishment meted out to her by the regulators - I mean, it is like they just emphasised the woman's distrust to get justice.

Let her go to OPD too. The advantage of social media these days is the ability to 'report out there' when those who should do well mess up.

He is from Nigeria, I saw that. I know the card you want to play. Are you aware that the EFCC Zonal head for the South-East Zone is a man called Johnson Babalola?
He is a Nigerian too.

Like NPF, they normally do not post indigenes of the area/zone to avoid bias.

A round of applause to the bias EFCC.

Did you read the thread properly to observe that this piece was related to the SOUTH SOUTH ZONAL office?

Are you aware EFCC has zonal offices across Nigeria?

Have you taken time to visit EFCC's website to view the most wanted persons and criminal convictions across these zones?

Have you conducted any research based on at least, publicly available data to show that EFCC 'sees' more corrupt men in SS vs NW/NE?

It's not just about typing without VALID DATA to back up your writings; that in itself is BIAS.

Bias is when you leave the present issue of what the man allegedly denied his people as a result of diversion and non-performance and take our attention to other zones. This tendency to defend 'our man' is worse than the act of stealing itself. It is a sign that people are ready to DEFEND EVIL and INJUSTICE.
