I saw your comment..the projected singular partitions on the left side elevation needed at least two columns, considering the weight of the concrete facial. it would have been more structural proper if he had introduce at least columns on the for angles of the building. but nevertheless I hope the blocks and binding materials are strong enough...

Introducing columns to the building peripheral will only incur more cost than the intending structural to d roof, considering the fact that all the internal walls also shared part of the roof load, so minimal roof load was been transferred to the building perimeter. The point am trying to make is dat not the "[b][/b]facial concrete" dat bears the roof load, as d case applied.

In a swampy area, it is not the sandfilled that the structure will rest on, rather such foundation is going to be raft or pile depending on how bad the soil is, hope u get me but u may not understand wat I mean by raft or pile cos it's Engineering jargon.

From Engineering view, the work is so poor, from casting of foundation to blocksetting, also not cost effective. Endeavour to patronize Engr wen u are about to start the main structure in order to have durable, safe and economical structure.

I don't really like to comment on a thread like dis cos there is no how u will get appropriate information as u desire over online forum, however, why not look for a professional in ur vicinity to enlighten u better on how to go about it? But d fact dat u are a brother, I will drop my comment.

Now consider dis fact

1 know dat u will spend double or more of ur initial budget to convert it to Duplex, ranging from the cost of substructure(foundation) to superstructure(first floor).

2 in of privacy, kitchen cannot be located on d first floor in Duplex cos no visitor is allowed to go up, so there would be a need for ur wife to shuttle between kitchen, dining and bedroom which is at first floor. So no privacy, but in a bungalow, d plan can be designed in such a way dat ur wife can walk freely without hijab on btw d kitchen, dining and bedroom.

In d process of taking selfie wit any fone is like standing front of a mirror whereby u will be seeing virtual image but instantly u snap, it will turn to real image. On dis note, d tecno image is very much correct.

in selfie, ur right hand is stil ur right hand and ur left hand is stil ur left hand, d only difference is just d change in facing position.

Lesson: change ur way if any of ur attitude falls among d list
