hello, i wanted to ask why is it that after checking for schools on daad website and i go to uni-assist to find the school and apply the schools dont seem to ever show up on the uni-assist site

Not all schools are in uni-assist. Uniassist is a contracting firm helping universities 'weed out' applications than don't meet the requirements of the department or the universities.
The 75 EUR they charge is for handling your documents, reviewing them, and onward thrashing or sending to the university(ies) for consideration.
The ission decision is by the department, then the University.
Your contract with uniassist ends when you all the necessary documents, make application(s) and of course make their payment.

I did not even have time to prepare for my interview in Dubai and wasn't even asked what my name was! The only question asked was:
Can I have your documents?
Other comments by the VO were:
You may have to take a seat for about 20 mins while I field in you information.
Can I have the money for the visa fee (75 EUR equivalent)?
We will you in about 4 weeks.

I only said:

Will that be all? She smiled and replied yes.
I acted surprised asking 4 weeks? My lectures ought to have begun by then already. She replied, that's not my fault, you applied late and the issuance of visa comes from and there was nothing she could do.
Again I said, thank you as I retrieve my original documents and said to her, I will have to take a seat again and arrange these papers. She replied, okay fine!
I just waka comot pondering whether it was a good or bad interview � until the AM and the Visum!

If you select the right course, you should not have issues. Are you applying for a Master or Bachelor? I do not think you need to apply for VPD. What is VPD?

The embassy just made mention of getting an 30,000 Euro worth of Insurance. My question is, how many months of such insurance can he buy? He is going for his Masters school.

Google list of best insurance for foreign students in Austria. Don't worry much about the 30,000 EUR . A decent one should cost between 100-200 EUR or other popular cheap ones around 50 EUR per month.

As part of the docs needed for a german student visa, what birth cert is needed for applicants that were born before 1992. They wrote that NPC birth cert is for applicants born after 1992 but they did not state that which is required for applicants born after before 1992. Can the one issued at the hospital during birth suffice?

Birth certificate is needed in Nigeria? Maybe a sworn affidavit might help. But why would a birth certificate at any time be unsuitable?

I arrived Cologne, yesterday morning from Dubai-Bahrain-Frankfurt using Gulf Air. The flight was nice and no time wasting from takeoff in Dubai DXB Terminal 3 to Frankfurt Terminal 1. The border control police did not seemed to care about COVID-19 Negative result neither did the Gulf Air in Dubai.
I have been continuing my lectures in my self-quarantine. Inside is warm with the heater/oven while out there is cold between 4-7 degrees celcius.

For those who will be travelling from the Gulf Region, please use Gulf Air if you don't have much money as their prices to and are quite cheap about 45% cheaper than Fly Emirates and KLM.
When arriving at the airport, make the following handy:
1. port
2. Enrolment certificate
3. Required letter of presence (mine was never asked for)
4. Boarding slip
5. For , Digital Entry Registration printout
6. Read about prohibited items in Schengen countries.
