You still need logistics to move players from Lagos to Abeokuta. If logistics is really the issue then play the game either in Lagos or Abuja where direct international flights are

2026 World cup qualifiers in uyo has been poor results upon poor results, we are yet to win a game in this qualifying series at that uyo stadium.
1-1 against Lesotho
1-1 against SA
1-1 against Zimbabwe

aahh omo next game will be against Rwanda in uyo and finally in October against Benin in Uyo wetin dey sup na uyo….i dont even wanna reason that Abuja own sef

The same studium and logistics that the team used and qualified for this year's AFCON and other tourneys before that. You can't fault the stadium.

Good football from Onyedika and Maduka.

The midfield trio going forward should be Ndidi/Onyeka, Onyedika and Iwobi.

Aina should be ready and should be deployed to right back going forward, because all the goals Nigeria conceded in this Unity Cup all came from the right wing.

Teams that Nigeria will be playing against must have taken note of that, and will want to capitalize on it and put pressure on that wing, especially the pacy South Africans.

Even the goal Nigeria conceded in the last Afcon Final also came from the right wing. Same with the goal conceded in that last World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.

How the Jamaican captain took and scored his spot kick was what the Jamaican player that missed his also had in mind, which is to place the ball at the top corner, which beats any goal keeper of Nwabali's height.
This was how Nigerian chan team lost in semi finals some years ago. The other team simply played and aimed all their shots either at the right top corner or the left top corner and they scored because of Agbim's height, who was Nigeria's goal keeper.

If Nigeria goes into penalty shoot outs against a tactical team that will want to exploit Nwabali's height by having their penalty takers aim for either the right or left top corners, then any other goalkeeper like Maduka should be coming on during penalty kicks. Otherwise, a team whose players can aim and score top corners can comfortably win the shoot outs.

D'Law I you're allowing the fact that we got to the finals of last year's AFCON cloud your judgment as to the efficacy and suitability of that formation to the SE general play.

For all the it's defensive functionality the 3-5-2 formation has inherent flaws which our opponents exploited.

Rather than adopting a dogmatic approach to how the team should be set up I always prefer being flexible enough to choose a formation that will gift you the best chance of beating an opponent depending on their style and make up.

Using Chelle's example the approach adopted against Zimbabwe was ok but for whatever reason we were not clinical enough. Now the mistake Eric made not reading the situation to say you know what 1 goal will be fine let me lock up and maintain this lead.

Flip it to JP against CIV part 2 being ultra defensive facing a team with quality players to unlock your defensive was always going to be trouble. Iwobi himself said it that the Ivorians were clever to come up with a strategy that gave them extra numbers in midfield meaning Alex and Onyeka were busy curtailing the Ivorians cutting off our forwards. JP should have been flexible enough to alter the set up but he was too many scared to change something that worked most of the tournament.

there's no formation that doesn't have it's own flaw, but as of now, the kind of defense we parade now needs that kind of formation to survive. If not for JP acknowledging and adapting to the formation at AFCON in the first place then maybe the SE won't have made it past the group stage. And consequently, you won't be talking about the final.

When we have the likes of Ramos and Rudiger then we can talk about playing without a formation that provides a more defensive cover. We were also lucky against the Zimbabweans as they also had some very clear cut chances that if were converted would have probably resulted to the SE getting worse than a draw in the game due to that defense.

Like this.

5-3-2 when defending and 3-1-4-2 when attacking. They cannot be defensively vulnerable using this kind of formation.

I don't understand this unnecessary fuss about Iwobi.
Iwobi was deployed as a deep lying play maker in the last game, not even close to the attack. And he did impress in that role. He was also the only player besides Osimhen that pressed more that anyone in the pitch, dude was everywhere trying to recover ball possession in the two games and managed to make himself available on many occasions for ing options when the ball was recovered, what else do y'all want from Iwobi? Is he going to kill himself before y'all cut him some slack?

Someone else played number 10, but somehow you want to get Iwobi to take the blame.

It is attackers that played higher up the pitch that was supposed to get the goals that you're supposed to be concerned about not Iwobi.

That guy has played for the Super Eagles with his heart, just like Osimhen. He gives his 100% for the team every single time he plays.

Please note: Chelle preferred formation is diamond (4-4-2) and i doubt he is going to change that anyways...

Chelle abeg!!! Moving forward, you need to reconsider playing these 3 players in that starting 11, Ndidi, Ekong and Iwobi. Thank you

A player like Iwobi has no replacement at the moment.
He shouldn't have been substituted in the last game except for injury. His ing game would have ensured the SE retained some possession, and also stoping the Zimbabweans from going all out when they had the ball because of the fear of a quick and sleek counter-attack from Iwobi. Everything changed when Iwobi was substituted.

There won't be a creative spark from the SE if Iwobi is benched and that will leave the defense with some more pressure to deal with because if you're not attacking then you're defending.

That was the formation both Rohr and Pesiero where using, before AE, came with 442, and cos they plan sweet football, we abandoned it, only for Chelle to continue

Let's be frank our defense requires that kind of formation to not concede goals. And Iwobi needs to be moved higher up the pitch because paring him with a defensive midfielder instead of paring the defensive midfielder with a central midfielder kinda makes the work overwhelming for the defensive midfielder which happened to Wilfred the last time. His game would have been better if he had the complements of somebody like Onyedika or Uche, while allowing Iwobi to play in front of them.

it will be wise to stick to it now. Results is what matters now not fancy football.
The formation will do the SE a lot good, especially in disrupting the cohesive play of the South Africans. It should not be adopted as a emergency formation, it is should become the main formation so that the players will get used to it and understand it well enough.
Moniter0: 6:35pm On Mar 29
Barring injury and loss of form, this 3-5-2 formation should be adopted going forward, and with the players played in their right positions.

The formation will give a lot of defensive cover and attacking advantage, making it defensively and offensively a balanced formation. With this formation, the SE will find it easier not conceding goals.

It becomes 5-3-2 when defending and 3-5-2 when attacking.

Remove the God-factor and I'd concur with your write-up.
Israel has too many evidences of God-factor to be ignored.
It is no mere confidence that Israelis dominate the list of top ten richest people in the world. Such a tiny population doing great exploits, it can only be the blessing of Abraham at work.
Take for instance, in the War of Independence it was 600,000 Jews against Arab population of whooping 40,000,000, and the Arab also had the superior war equipment and of the British at that time. And Israel miraculously emerged victorious. That's an example of the God-factor right there. And guess what? After the War, the British Empire fell! Just like kingdoms that have come against Israel down through history have fallen while Israel lives on and continue to thrive.

Are Americans children of Israel?
America is a super power partly because of her to Israel. Israelis in America are major players in different industries such as entertainment, technology and innovation, manufacturing, etc. I also believe God gave America that super power status for the purpose of ing Israel and not allowing any nation to persecute Israel.
America started losing it's world-stage respect when the former istration were not so in of Israel, and people were almost comparing America to the likes of Russia and Iran, but America has regained her status as the world power country since this pro-Israel istration of Donald John Trump took over.

Whether or not it was a miracle that the Church buildings were unaffected by the fire, and whether or not "God wasn't merciful enough to save the other properties but chose to save church buildings", I feel the main message this es across to the world is that salvation is only found in the cross of Jesus Christ.

Just like in the days of Noah when those who were in the Ark were not affected by the flood. The Ark typifies Christ in whom there is no condemnation for those who are in Him.

You can see that the Church buidling spared from the fire all had the cross signs on them. And the cross of Jesus Christ means there has been a death, therefore another death cannot be exerted where there has been a death. The Angel of death could not exert death on the Israelites on the night of the over, because the shedded blood of the over lamb was applied on the doorposts and on the lintels, which formed a cross sign. And Christ is the true over Lamb!

I believe that what God is ing across to us is that the saved church building typifies/foreshadows that all those who put their trust in the cross of Jesus Christ would be saved from the "wrath to come" as the Bible puts it (see 1.Thess 1:10).

It is a message that is suppose to cause a change of mind to believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ, the only way unto salvation.

God is already merciful enough to have provided salvation for all mankind through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and only those who receive this gift of salvation by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ would be saved.

Acts 16:30-31 KJV:
And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
