When a man dies, the woman and children are thrown into extreme poverty in most cases showing the importance of the man and finance. Many of the women loosing their husband end up homeless and begging for survival. That is when you’ll know that motherly love is conditional and dependent on the comfort provided by men. Some women even give up or kill their baby to enable them to latch on to another man.
You will never see a man who lost his wife begging for money to take care of the children because the man will hustle by any means possible, showing that financial responsibility is supreme in a child's life. The domestic provider can be replaced with a maid anytime but the financial provider can never be replaced.

How many kids do you have and how old are they?

Boys don't appreciate their father until they become a father themselves. The man is expected to takes care of his wife, kids, in law, siblings, parent, cousins, nieces etc depending on his financial ability. You think the money to provide all those comfort will come from siting at home and forming bonding with child. Bonding with kids only works when the job allows.
If you want to know the relevance of fathers, look at homes without one and see how miserable the life of the woman and kids are most of the times. Many of the fatherless girls get pregnant very young while the boys drop from school to go and learn a trade because there is no dad to provide.
Also look at girls that dump new born babies because there is no man to provide for her and the baby. You do not know the value of a man until he either walks away or dies. My mum still misses my dad's contribution to running the home they built together even though he died 14 years ago and all her kids are grown up.

You can pay up to 60% cummulative tax depending on the country. In a Scandinavian country, my tax was 55% on the progressive scale and about 41% in absolute term. This mean I pay 55% on any extra money I make but the total I pay divided by my earning is about 41%.
VAT is 25% on every single thing you buy meaning you still pay an extra 0.25 * (0..59%) of the amount left which gives you additional 14.75% in sales tax. This 2 alone is already about 55.75% tax.

Then you also pay housing tax, TV license, green tax at the end you pay more than 60% tax in many European countries cumulative.

People just don't know because they don't. do the maths.
