Mrfixitt:actually the cabals have very limited influence in Nigeria. Except for Buhari government,we didn't really hear much about cabals unless for subsidy cabals in Jonathan istration. But in America, lobby groups operate in broad daylight and donate heavily during elections. They call themselves PACs during elections and the bigger donors call themselves super PACs. They influence the primary elections and direct policies and bills which turn to laws 2 Likes |

helinues:What is my business with what is happening in Egypt? Do I live there or something? Why do you people love to deflect and use the negative things happening elsewhere to conclude that Nigeria is ok. That being said, if this pace is what the funds procurement can obtain, that means it will be completed in thirty years or am I missing something? In case you don't know about economics, there's something called scale of preference. With the way Nigeria is now, where do you scale a project like this compared to our immediate problems? If government has invested massively in agriculture and given loans to states with clear mandate on spending it on power with strict observation to avoid pilfering, don't you think tinubu would have been much more celebrated and this food driven inflation kept at bay while the power solutions will kickstart small businesses. I have a welding shop, generator and gas consume highest after the purchase of iron that I use to work 1 Like |

helinues:I don't like the idea of blaming funds for the slow pace of the work. When Tinubu embarked on this project, many people raised the issue of funding but people like you say they were enemies of Nigeria and that Tinubu is a wizard when it comes to making money appear. Come to think of it, where were you guys expecting Nigeria to raise 10trn from to spend on just a single project? Don't you people understand how terribly poor this country is or you still have the mindset ed on to us by our parents? People like you need to understand that not everyone of us who asks genuine questions hate Tinubu or Nigeria. We are just concerned having seen how much white elephant projects that are scattered around Nigeria leaving fortunes to waste 3 Likes |

It's said that petrol has been deregulated so it's the seller and buyer's deal. Why is the government interested in what happens at the border since it's paying no subsidy and people are currently paying full price for petrol and can decide what to do with it. Before you tell me that it's cheaper in Nigeria, kindly note that it's one of the benefits of lower exchange rates. It makes export cheaper and should attract capital inflows. I don't really understand how Nigeria works honestly. I can have issues with this if we're still under subsidy regime but since it's the reverse, I see no reason government should have a problem with it provided it has no security implications 11 Likes 4 Shares |

When this obvious fraud was initiated, many people pointed it out and APC said they were haters. I know tinubu will eventually sell it off as scrap and the same people will celebrate him as some magical financial wizard meanwhile they condemned the act when others suggested it 3 Likes 1 Share |

WizardOfNG:so let me get something clear, funds will be improved going forward to ensure reasonable execution of the project. So what is the government going to do differently now to ensure that the funds get bigger than what is currently available? Because going by current pace,it will take twenty five years 1 Like |

WizardOfNG:you keep mentioning funds, was the issue of funding not considered before awarding a contract of such magnitude? Opposition hammered on the funding aspect and how the government can't afford such expensive venture but the same government and you lots regaled us on how tinubu is a financial wizard and will pluck funds from the thin air So why use it as excuse again 1 Like 1 Share |
