Mrsstephanieo: Oh, my travel dates and health insurance have already requested and I submitted the documents about a week ago. My one worry is receiving my documents and port late or there being an error in my port, I don't know how common that is. |

megaxart: Can anyone help with this? |

MintyChoccochip: Both authorities have to give approval. Usually the embassy here approves and forwards your application to the Foreigners' Authority (Ausländerbehörde) and only after the approval of the ABH can the visa be issued. In the case of a pre-approval the foreigners' authority approves the application first but the embassy in Nigeria still has to give its approval before the visa is issued. The thing is it's typically rare for the rejection to stem from the Nigerian embassy as long as your application was complete and you didn't raise any suspicions of fraud. 2 Likes |

Hello everyone. Is it safe to book flight tickets after receiving AM (because of the naira crashing and late booking fees) or is it best to wait to have the port/visa in hand?

Annie2059: Hopefully they do. It's been over 2 weeks now. Also yes it was for an Ausbildung visa application. They asked me the usual questions -Why not Nigeria? -Why ? -What was I doing previously? -How and where did I learn the Language? -What are my plans after my Ausbildung? It was conducted 20% in German |

Hi does anyone know the time frame for receiving the decision mail after a skilled workers category interview? Do they usually stick to the 3 week time frame?
|

wilsonobee: It depends on whether or not your company/school apply for the skilled workers procedure/pre approval letter for you. If you don't have a pre approval letter then you apply to this category: Registration to apply for a long term visa / more than 90 days (work permit, Blue Card, AuPair, FSJ, BFD, other / NO FAMILY REUNION / NO STUDENTS) You'd get an appointment date in 16-18months If you do have a pre-approval letter then you apply to this category: Registration ONLY for visa under the Skilled Immigration Act (Fachkräfteeinwanderungsgesetz) WITH approval in advance according to § 81a residence act from your responsible ALIEN AUTHORITY in You'd get an appointment date within 3 weeks (usually a matter of days) So you should try finding a place that is willing to get you the pre approval. Make sure you have your B2 before you apply. 2 Likes |

Please does anyone know the current naira equivalent for the visa application fee of €75? I've calculated N62,000 with the rate of 824/Naira but I want to be doubly sure.

Purplelemon: Thank you. Also when you apply for a skilled workers visa there's a part where you tick "I have obtained a pre approval" and specify the issuing authority and date. I guess the embassy confirms with with respective foreigner's authority after that. |

(Purplelemon I can't quote you or send my message for some reason, I don't know why. Skilled workers visum and yes)

Hello everyone. I'll be going for an Ausbildungsvisa interview soon. Is the Primary school testimonial necessary or is it ok to use only the NECO/WAEC certificate?
|

Purplelemon: Yes but he's not sworn. Luckily it still suffices for what I wanted to use it for because I just needed a translating company at least. |

williams2600: A date legally has to come within 3 weeks. If it hasn't, call the embassy. |

No. A waec result alone is not enough as it's not equivalent to the German Abitur (13 years of school education). So to make up for the difference you could either: 1) do a 1 year program called Studienkolleg which is entirely in German (you'd need a bare Minimum of B2 level to start this) 2) or you could spend 1 year in a Nigerian university and use your 100l transcript to apply. |

evolym: Congratulations. Good luck on the interview. Of I may ask, how long did it take to get the pre approval? |

evolym: If you don't have a pre approval letter then this one: Registration to apply for a long term visa / more than 90 days (work permit, Blue Card, AuPair, FSJ, BFD, other / NO FAMILY REUNION / NO STUDENTS) If you do have a pre-approval letter: Registration ONLY for visa under the Skilled Immigration Act (Fachkräfteeinwanderungsgesetz) WITH approval in advance according to § 81a residence act from your responsible ALIEN AUTHORITY in |

Liodins: Not necessarily. However if you have an Ausbildung contract and a Vorabzustimmung zum Visum (gotten by your employer) you can get an appointment within 3 weeks from booking and after the appointment you'll get a decision within 3 weeks. So to put it short with only a contract you are treated like every other applicant but with the Vorabzustimmung zum Visum the process is accelerated. 1 Like |
