Pls oo. I have codes p0016, p0018 and p0300 on lexus es 300. Car is running fine. During replacement of crankshaft oil seal, the engine was brought down and as it was being coupled mechanic said the timing belt it has seems to be failing. I told him I have no problems with the timing belt. He showed me some degradation on the belt body and said it may fail when I least expected and put me in huge mess. I said they should change the belt. A new belt was installed, I traveled and i was using it for about 2-3 weeks and one day this belt cut on the road. I called the closes mech to replace the belt and after he did, I found out I have these codes. They show pending and after I clear and scan again the p0018 is showing both bending and confirmed while p0016 and p0300 are both showing pending. I got the car toks, for 2 years now no problems and it runs great.

But I want to sell it and acquire RX350 2011 but I am worried it has these codes make I no sell bad car give person. I called the guy that fixed the belt he is an illiterate, was saying I should not worry but I told him I no like this code. He went under, taped some wires and told me all is well. I cleared codes, drove to my house and scanned and i no see the codes only to get the codes back next day.

What I do not understand is why I am having random misfires only after belt replacement.

I bought a car in USA plus other items like laptops, bicycles, orthopedic mattress etc, full inside a 40 ft container. They charged me 1500$ im Grimaldi to bring it down to lagos. When I was moving the container to onitsha I paid higher, it was not easy. I immediately moved to lagos to secure a shop where I can sell my imports instead of going to onitsha. So on Friday my timing belt cut and vehicle stalled instantly. The timing belt was changed when I replaced crankshaft oil seals and the mech showed me the one the car came with has wounds and might cut any moment. I agreed that it should be replaced. The one they got however did not last upto a month.

After the timing belt was replaced yesterday, I drove the car today and scanned it to see codes p0018 and p0302. These codes are listed as pending codes. I have cleared it and it still appeared as pending code. I have p0031 as confirmed code, I have checked the position of the heated o2 sensor but it is rusty so I need beater to look at it.

My concerns are why are the p0018 and p0302 codes ing as pending on the scanner and what should I do about it.

Car is lexus es 300 gotten toks in 2019 with 264,000 miles on it. It's generally problem free and is serviced with mobil regularly.
