@ op take good picture of your fuse box properly. You would need a physical assessment of damages parts. Pictures might not help in this case.

Your engineer doesn't know how to make use of a scan tool
mayor2013: 10:15am On Mar 08, 2019
Could you pls post scan result. Changing throttleless or whatever you call wouldn't solve the nightmare on that vehicle. Post exact scan result as seen on the scan tool. We can move up the ladder from there

Why use palm oil in an engine like this. What a pity. Check for presence of fuel, spark and compression

I'm not too sure about the bolded, a mechanic ran the scan. I'm not really familiar with these tools.

I'm based in Calabar.

If a professional scan tool isn't used you wouldn't get any fault
mayor2013: 8:18am On Mar 07, 2019
Fail safe mode has probably been activated. What kind of scan tool was used. There is a pending fault on the power train. You would need to carry out a proper diagnosis to get to the root of the problem. For your oil pressure warning light you might want to start with the engine pressure oil switch. Your location?

Thanks bro, no traces of leakage on the rack, it's dry and neat. I will take it for inspection cos if leakage exist I sld be battling with low oil level which I'm not.

I will look for a good mechanic who might be able to fix it.

Let me just advice you. Go for a brand new power steering pump

Hi all,

I'm having power steering issues with my Honda DC 2006. When the car is in motion the steering feels easy, smooth and soft but when I'm stationary, without revving, the steering feels hard and difficult and when I force it the power steering starts making noise.

Please what could be the problem and how do I fix it.

My daily douse of panadol has increased. Old any advice?

Have your power steering pump changed. Ensure the power steering reservoir is cleaned up properly from debris before installation. If reservoir is extremely dirty have it changed

Nice thread... Am currently having challenges with my Toyota camry 2005. I awlays refill the water reservoir everyday. I mean the coolant reservoir. The mechanic said I should change the radiator to double cell which I have done but the problem still persist.. I have even changed water pump still the same problem.. I don't know what else to do.. The car does not over heat just that am afraid it will over heat if I stop putting water in that reservoir. Please I need ideas on how to solve this... I'm in awka

There's a leak around your cooling system. Carry out a coolant pressure test and that should reveal the leak

Fuel pressure low. Carry out a fuel pump pressure test and compare to manufacturer spec. You might as well want to run a scan on your powertrain

Imagine a doctor that takes his sick patient to his colleagues for team work diagnosis yet shield the details of the patient from them.....I hope you will agree it doesn't make sense.

BMW s Bosch during production of most of their vehicles. Mecerdes Benz s Bosch as well during production of most of their vehicles that's why you see most parts come in Bosch. Toyota s denso, Aisin, Bose and many Innovative companies for production of some components.
This Is what you call an informal approach to learning. So you better sit down relax, hush your mouth and be attentive so as not to miss better ideological information ahead of you in the automobile repair industry

Here is what I think.
That particular cylinder developed a hot spot, probably on a plug which lead to detonation. This detonation created pits on the cylinder head.
Each time plugs are changed, the symptom goes away until more materials are deposited from the pit on the new plug and the cycle starts all over again.
Eventually, the detonation (preignition) melts the top of the piston.
What I don't get is what broke off the valve.

From all angles you are very correct. This was exactly what happened

Excessive heat. Have had a case of a broken valve from a Hyundai Tucson 2005 as a result of excessive over heat the centre of the crown broke off. One thing have come to find out is materials used on this valves vary across manufacturers. I had another case of excessive overheating of a Lexus rx300 and no broken valves on it. Same valves were reused

Wouldn't that be a case of a blocked exhaust( catalyst)?

Not in all cases
