The intensity with which his teams start and Gas out in the later stages. The Zimbabwean coach also mentioned it after the game that he knew it would be difficult for the Nigerian team to maintain such intensity up till the later stages of the game and he exploited it.

And this is in sharp contrast to Nigerian team of old used to okay. We were a second half team up till Rhor's reign.

Benin couldn’t get a point from SA
I don’t see Rwanda doing that away from home

Benin is west Africa. Rwanda is Southern Africa. It's like Ghana, CIV or Cameroon vs Nigeria; result can go einther way. Rwanda had won them in first leg. I see a draw in that game.

My guy hope always springs eternal.

Nigeria was far off the log to qualify for 2002, 2010 WC yet we inexplicably made it. Doesn't guarantee it will still be the case now but we can only hope (that word again grin)

I learned lessons from CIV in last year's AFCON out for the count in the group stages yet rode their luck to win the whole thing.

And Nigeria in 2013. Air ticket back home was ready.

South Africa has a whopping +5 goal difference, and that's my real worry.

Their 13 points haul will be reduced to 10 points when FIFA deducts 3 points for their fielding of an ineligible player. (I'm confident this will happen).

Also, SA's goal difference will take a hit with 3 goals deduction and reduce to +2.

With 10 points, if SA wins three matches of their remaining four matches (I assume they'll lose against us), they'll be on 19 points.

If the Super Eagles win all their four remaining matches, which includes beating SA in their home, we'll be on 19 points too.

In my mind we can defeat Benin Republic at home. Lesotho away and Rwanda at home....,and it must be done handsomely..

Anyhow e wan be, we must pick 3 points against South Africa.

Ultimately, it'll boil down to goal difference so we must score goals.

Is this doable and possible, emphatically YES.

There's still that glimmer of hope so I ain't giving up yet.

Tedium lies the road to success and like 2baba go talk, if e easy na set up.

Believe.

Their goal difference will be 0. The 2:0 agaisnt Lesotho changes to 3:0 agaisnt them. That's minus 5.

This losses and draws are psychological, and this team does not know how to win in front of their fans, they play with less pressure away and do better. We must tackle this issue going forward. I don’t feel it’s about tactics or players, and if NFF doesn’t realize this, 10 years from now, we will still struggle even if we have world best on our team with pep as our coach.

Which away games have they won in asides Rwanda?

if I write this same comment as yours they will call me a conspiracy theorist...

Eguavoen or a group of people in the NFF keep writing the same list of players without any young new additions to the list.

without Ndidi the SE made it to the Final of the AFCON.. so why is Ndidi still given a starting shirt just because he plays in the EPL..

its because of things like this I was not happy about Onyeka moving to because I know the NFF won't invite him anymore..

both Orban and Ejuke can play Chukwueze's wing and Chuks needs someone to bench him in that wing.

In the next international friendlies window, it is still the same list of players they will invite again.

I agree with you. Pure sentiment.
They sent on to say not inviting Iheanachio is not fair on him.

Randy Waldrum in 2023 said we will not qualify for World Cup, with the way we run our football
istrative wise, countries have left us in the past
Checkout Rwandas display of sponsors & ours
We have refused to move with the times

1. Make Osimhen Vice captain
He’s a once in a generation talent from Nigeria
No disrespect to Yekini but Osimhen is the better striker. He needs to show us the way forward. He’s our best/most ambitious player tbh
2. Osimhen should be involved in selecting the merit list going forward, I’m sure the guy will be really hurt right now
3. All the blame should go to NFF, they are not transparent with anything
From coach hiring to players listing

Paddy paddy NFF
We may not qualify for 2030 World Cup if they continue to run NFF like politics in Nigeria
Before start of qualifier or after 2 games?

The feeling across Nigeria is how Algeriaz felt in 2018.

The key to world cup qualification is to start on a good note. Algeria, a star studded team started on a bad note and before they knew it thw pressure was too much.

Due to the pressure on Nigeria, there's no way we are going to catch up with South Africa. Anyone hoping on miracle should give up. It's gone. That Amodu did magic twice doesn't mean it's an easy feat.

Chelle takes 20-30 percent of the blame today. The other 70 percent falls on the team, especially Ekong and Nwabali. How can a player as experienced as Ekong switch off at such a crucial moment? And why is Nwabali conceding from that angle? If that were Okoye, many of you would have cursed his existence.

Chelle is a good coach, but his in-game management is highly questionable. Bringing on a clearly rusty Boniface was crazy—he should have subbed in a midfielder (Aribo) instead.

Oh well. No World Cup for us next year. [We've completely wasted this generation of players' peak years due to the NFF's gross incompetence. So sad.

The players wasted themselves. If they got shame they won't allow lowly rated teams mess them up anyhow with or with no coach.

Please can anyone here help me understand properly what this playoff stage is all about? Because I believe we are going to find ourselves in this situation later.

There are 9 groups. Thw nest 4 second placed teams will play semifinal and then final to choose one of the 4 for intercontinental playoff where they will face teams in similar shoe frkm CONMEBOL, OFC etc. The ultijmate wihnner then qualify for world cup.
It's a long step.
Nigeria won't finish second. Stop dreaming. We are out.

Shebi na top 5 league we dey find players. May be we should narrow it down to top 3 league.

If you say that the FG is sympathetic to Wike....

When Wike was fighting Amaechi back then when Amaechi was governor was PGEJ istration not sympathetic to Wike as well?

Why are people now crying now?
Or maybe they never saw it coming the way it is now?

It's this reasoning that always makes successive government worse compared to the previous one. A country gets the kind of president it deserve. It's a reflection of the general sentiment - justification.

Hmmm… this thing happened years back in Anambra, godfatherism and taking oaths to serve a godfather and his interest once he makes you governor… until Governor Chris Ngige stopped it which led to his kidnap, and he (Governor Chris Ngige) was kept hostage for 3 days

You can imagine a whole state governor loss for 3days, no one knew where he was not even his wife, the rest was story.

Chris Ngige and Peter Obi are the only people that laid the foundation why Anambra state always have good governance compared to other South East states till date

As a result of those political turmoil in Anambra State then, 5 people became governors in Anambra in 5 years… those were the trying times of Anambra state.

For this impunity currently going on in Rivers State to stop, a top politician in the state must pay with his career to end godfatherism in the state

It stopped in Anambra because FG was not used against Ngige. In Rivers its difficult for Fubara because FG is sympathetic to Wike camp.
mank1234(m): 8:48pm On Mar 18
The president mentioned intervening at several times and the parties involved refused to sheath their sword.

Most of those interventions were between Fubara and Wike and not between the house of assembly and Fubara. This shows that the president knows that the issue is Wike and Fubara. One is suspended; one is not.
Clearly Wike wins.

But the questions is:
Who is bombing pipeline? It has to be the party that will benefit from it. It looks like a script.
Why is the leader of the protoganist unpunished? He wasn't eve mentioned.

Thankfully we have another opportunity to qualify as best placed 2nd team and play through à playoff. That I believe is well within our control. We can't control how SA would perform in their next games. I think SA has à very good coach and à TEAM!!

That alternative route is very tricky and risky.

I think we have improved in a few positions particularly midfield. The top 9 position is the only area that's not really any different from last AFCON. Positions still up for grabs as Osimhen's back up. Hopefully one or two out of Boniface, Awoniyi, KC, Moffi, Sadiq, Dessers, Akor, or Tolu will step up. Wings sorted with Lookman, Simon, and Chukwueze. Ejuke and Tella would be nice additions.

Midfield looking more settled with an in form Iwobi and Onyedika. Frank still a tank, Fisayo looking the part and still improving, Potential addition of Chrisantus will boost the midfield. With Daga and Ebenezer on the horizon the middle of the park is looking promising for short to medium term.

Defense needs more quality additions especially CB and maybe LB (Bruno is improving). Goalkeeper Nwabali still looking solid. Okoye would be a good back up but his betting issue is a worry.

Overall I'm very confident this squad can get to the final if not win the whole thing with sound coaching and luck/divine providence.

That is how we are always settled until match is played and small boys beats you.

New year or not, MFM is all about battle.

I reject this on your behalf.

Who can battle with the lord? I say nobody. Therefore my prephesy for you, this year, is that you will not fight any battle this year because you're of the lord and you will live a modest life full of abundance because the earth and its fullness is of the lord.

Happy new year.

Get GREENLEAF and thank me later.

A sachet is around #200, buy like 5 sachet.

Spread it in the nook and crannies of your house in the evening. Repeat it after five days. For Four times.

You'll thank God for this information. You will not see the cockroach because the dead becomes food for the living until they all die off.

It works. Try it.

This worked for me. This will kill them all but won't stop new ones coming. To stop new ones from coming, ensure that your sink and washhand basins are installed in such a way that nothing can crawl out into the house. Also ensure that the chambers are all well sealed and nothing can crawl out. Finally, always ensure your floor drain is always clean; disinfect the drain once in a while while.

That's how I managed not to see any for 3 years running.

One thing with European teams is that once they see a player is beginning to have very good scoring conversions they automatically begin to put the player in a more forward role to increase the rate of conversions. Most people have forgotten that Gareth Bale original position was left full back before Harry redknap converted him to a winger to get more goals from him.

Our national team handlers needs to be more dynamic with our players to get the best from them and not making them look like otondos when they are in the GWG.

Coaches have more time with players. No time to convert players in national team football.
