I actually agree and share the sentiments that Nigeria's presidential candidates shouldn't have any business going to Chatham House to "campaign" and explain why they want to rule us. We may not be where we want to be as a nation, but we should never lose our pride as an independent country.


That being said, the writer's vituperations about Chatham House being a mere research institute, so shouldn't have the audacity to "examine" our presidential aspirants is quite laughable.

I mean, Chatham House is a leadership think-tank. They "examine" or "study" events and people. In fact, the House actually talked about "examining" Nigeria's 2023 elections itself, more than anything else. The United Nations and EU also "examine" our elections. There's nothing wrong with that.

If so, how many times has Chatham House invited US Presidential candidates to examine them?

Obi could have invested the money overseas since he made it as a private person in a fully legit business. But, he invested the money locally - surely to get people employed.
