ctl is a terrestrial platform not satellite
Oga they have a new satellite decoder, a friend of mine bought it just yesterday. I'm only asking if anyone has also seen and used it.

Please who knows about the Trendtv (CTL) satellite decoder with dish, can it be used FTA? please note the decoder is not their regular one that works with the yagi antenna but this one comes with a dish

Naijcomsat is one of the easiest bird to nail, you'll get it in seconds. Just track dstv, bring your dish down say an inch or 2 and move a little to the left while standing behind the dish

Indirectly it does, bandwidth has something to do with the dish with the following reasons:
what is a bandwidth?:a bandwidth is the range of frequencies, the difference between the highest frequencies signal components and the smallest signal components an electronic signal uses on a given transmission medium..like the frequency of a signal, bandwidth is measured in Hertz
Bandwidth The ku band is designated for DTH/communication use via satellite...NB:with no competition or signal interference from other communication system...
Typically ku band operates at higher frequency 10.7GHZ to 12.75GHZ the higher frequency produces a signal with shorter wavelength that is more powerful and focused..because of it's higher frequency it requires smaller dish sizes to receive the service....
C-band on the other hand operates at a much lower frequency 3.4GHZ t0 4.2GHZ due to it's low frequency it shares the same frequency with the terrestrial microwave radio system,as a result some VSAT locations may be avoided so as to not to interfere with these radio system(GSM) and C band operates with low power it requires larger dish sizes to receive the service....
dish type:what is the primary difference between a shallow satellite dish (offset) and a deep satellite dish (prime focus) on terrestrial interference, note that offset satellite antennas are more shallow than a typical prime focus satellite antennas..the shallow the dish the more the gain but a deep dish reject TI than a shallow dish but has less gain than a shallow dish..a shallow dish F/D ratio is about 0.38-0.42 while deep satellite antennas is about 0.27 t0 0.32...
Due to C-band signal prone to TI ( terrestrial interference) a prime focused dish is suitable to receive the service than offset satellite antennas, though a higher signal gain is possible when an offset antenna is used to receive C band signal with same dish size however ku band is effected by severe weather conditions/rain, to minimize rain fade a bigger dish size is needed..C band is less effected by severe weather conditions or heavy rain and typical for tropical areas..
With above reasons bandwidth has something to do with the dish
You are correct Oga, My point still remain just as your write up shows, we have offset satellite antennas (dishes) and Prime focus antennas (dishes). Cband dish and Ku band dish is just a layman's language because most Prime focus dish are made for Cband lnbfs and offset dish for ku lnbs
Thank you

There are C band dishes which are known as prime focus and Ku Band dishes which are known as offset. This is due to how the signal is reflected on the dishes. If you use C band dish to track Ku band signal you can not get good results compared to when the offset dishes are used.
Chai! You no wan learn, The bandwidth has nothing to do with the dish but the lnbf. Just as you mentioned, There are prime focus dish and offset dishes, and There are c band lnb and Ku band lnb. And you can sure use both lnbs both dishes.
Nothing like c band dish and Ku band dish

Other tp in the sat are ok except Multi tv. How come?
Is your decoder 4922? If it is, then your signal ic has an issue, maybe thunder don enter.

Finally, with the help of you guys here, was able to bring down 10E with the signal 3 and other channels. Question, I'm thinking of adding 7 or 8 west. I don't know if its possible? I'm using 194cm offset dish (Those cybercafe dishes). Anybody who has a clue please?
