The distance can cost any amount, no doubt, but you are failing to understand the whole concept of the app itself.
The app is simple ride sharing. Yes, the distance may cost 2k, 3k, but when shared, how much will each pay?

Secondly, the trip creator (car owner) can randomly pick people on the way and collect 1k or 1.5k from each person without necessarily using the app and making more money, right? But for security reasons, he has decided to use the app;
1. To know the credibility of the people he's sharing his car with

2. To connect with like minds, which also aids networking.

It's not all about money. Security and networking are the main things here. In country where people are afraid to give lifts to others, not because they don't want to, but because they don't know what it can turnout to be, this app ensures every is thoroughly identified.

Lastly, if i read the review well, the rider saw other vehicles going to the island at wy higher prices, before he saw this particular one. And even out of curiosity, he had a chat with the car owner to be sure, and it was al a yes! So where's the lie there?

Every trip creator is at liberty to fix their price. It now depends on the rider to the one he/she prefers. If the cost to a distance using a commercial vehicle is 1k, and ing a trip through the app is 1k or more, why should I take the stress searching on the app? That's why it's called RIDE SHARING APP. A better option would be to share a trip with a car owner if you don't have a car and split the cost. Anyone that's a car owner can carry others going his/her destination and the transportation cost can now be splitted. There's this app that helps me do this, it's called Driveinhud and it's available for free on both Play Store and App Store.

The app requires everyone ing to submit important details of his or her self. These details include; NIN or Drivers License or International port & a valid document of anyone you decide to use. All s are also required to provide a clear picture of himself/herself, address and phone number.

So, incase of an eventuality a criminal can be easily tracked with these documents.

You can chat or even do a video call with whoever you'll be moving with before you accept their connect request. This will help you get to know the person.

Nice app but not perfect.
1.This is suppose to be a location app, it doesn't work based on map locations rather than typing and searching for limited location.
2. The app from what I saw does not lead to cost savings. I saw Alimosho to Ikeja for 1k 3 seats, when ordinarily by keke it will go for 600naira now. Don't allow car owners to hijack it and make abnormal gains, it will lead to the death of the app. If am paying 1k when ordinarily should reduce the 600naira using pub transport to something like 300naira.

Any person creating trip and inflates the price does that at his/her own detriment. Because if your price is too much then I'm not gonna your trip. Simple.
