nku5: Thats is what the hypocrites never say. OPC was was armed and killing people but that didnt deny Yorubas the Presidency with Obasanjo Fulani herdsmen are armed and killing people but it didnt deny the Fulani's the Presidency with Buhari IPOB are not armed and dont go about killing people. But all parts of of Nigeria will be screaming that IPOB are destroying Igbos politically despite the fact that IPOB did not do up to 1% of what OPC and herdsmen did. I hate hypocrisy 2 Likes |

This is for all those who keep ranting that the Indigenous People OF Biafra(IPOB) are damaging Igbos in Nigeria, politically and economically. Those who say that IPOB is causing division and making Igbos to be hated, read this: In the late 90's OPC was an armed terror group that killed people, destroyed lives and property, even killed Policemen, all in the South West. Many Nigerians ran back to their Regions due to the violence OPC brought. Yet, OPC was never declared terrorists and their activities did not prevent a Yoruba man called Obasanjo being elected president in 1999. Infact, the OPC leader is now the highest titled man in Yoruba land. Despite the fact that armed Fulani herdsmen are killing people in virtually every state in Nigeria, they have not been declared terrorists, and a Fulani man called Buhari was elected President in 2015 and re-elected in 2019 IPOB is an unarmed group that has not done up to 1% of what OPC and herdsmen have done, but were declared terrorists. If any thing, IPOBs problem has always been the heavy handed use of force by the security agents that causes clash between the two So if OPC did not deprive Yorubas of any economic or political advantage, or getting Obasanjo elected If Fulani killer herdsmen did not prevent Fulani men like Buhari and Yaradua from being elected President Then how is IPOB damaging Igbos when others that were far worse than IPOB did not damage their people? But the Sunday DSS go there, there is problem everywhere and people are dead. What does that tell you? The authorities say IPOB are armed, yet nobody has ever seen IPOB with arms except the authorities The authorities say IPOB is a terrorist group, yet nobody in the East is terrified of IPOB except the authorities The authorities say IPOB are violent, yet the only violence attributed to IPOB always starts with the authorities being present. A time comes when you have to ask, 'Is IPOB the problem or the authorities?' |

Miracle1991: If I were you, I wouldn't be so concerned about IPOB, they do not go about killing people. If anything, their problem is always with the security forces who always clash with them. What you should be more concerned with is Boko haram, ISWAP, killer herdsmen and Gana militants who are all armed and killing people across Nigeria daily, and drive many more into IDP camps. Those ones dont wait until they clash with security forces |

Miracle1991: I so wish the security forces of Nigeria truly believed the above because if they did, they probably would have been after armed groups like Boko haram, ISWAP and killer herdsmen, who hold meetings every day about the next community they are going to burn down. If it been that way, may be the security forces would have realised that unarmed people who are exercising and meeting peacefully isnt priority and a lot lives would not have been needlessly wasted, both IPOB and Nigerians being killed daily. The authorities say IPOB are armed, yet nobody has ever seen IPOB with arms except the authorities The authorities say IPOB is a terrorist group, yet nobody in the East is terrified of IPOB except the authorities The authorities say IPOB is a violent group, yet the only violence attributed to IPOB always starts with the authorities being present. Organs: Im an Enugu guy so dont tell what is going on there. Armed Fulani herdsmen have slaughtered people in Nimbo, Awgwu and Mgboho to mention a few. Infact, herdsmen killed a pregnant woman in Nchatancha which is less than 15 minutes drive from where this IPOB/DSS clash happend. Nchatancha people even carried the woman's body to stage protest. We did not see the DSS, Police and security forces mobilising for that one, but if it is unarmed people exercising in a field, they will know to come out fast. Armed Herdsmen are slaughtering thousands of Nigerians each year from Southern Kaduna to Enugu state, your federal government has not designated them terrorists. But in 2017, your federal government rushed to court to designate IPOB a terrorist organisation, an unarmed group which had no record of killing anyone. What an embarrassment. IPOB's case against its proscription is currently in the appeal court pending hearing. In civilised countries such as America, the shooting or killing of an unarmed person by the security forces can lead to a murder charge, as was done in the case of George floyd. But in an uncivilised country like Nigeria, some have come to think that the security forces have the right to kill anyone they like. Total disregard to the rules of engagement and the preservation of human life by the authorities. IPOB is right to agitate to leave Nigeria, the way people reason in this country it is clear the country is heading no where |

The Prominent Civil Rights Advocacy group- HUMAN RIGHTS WRITERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (HURIWA) has called for a judicial commission of inquiry to be constituted by the government of Enugu State South East of Nigeria to investigate the widespread reports that a combined team of Department of States Services (DSS); Military and armed Mobile Police committed massive killings of unarmed civilians that gathered at a school compoind in Emene near Enugu under the auspices of the self determination group- the Indigenous peoples of Biafra (IPOB). The Rights group said it is a Crime against humanity for armed security forces to open fire with lethal weapons and live bullets in their attempt to quell a gathering of totally unarmed civilians in the 21st century Nigeria which paints Nigeria graphically as a killing field whereby armed security forces rather than deploy law- based approach in their law enforcement mechanisms have rather unfortunately chosen to go the way of deployment of brute force in their efforts to ensure maximum physical damage of the of the banned Indigenous peoples of Biafra (IPOB). "This action of the killer security forces is crude, brutal, despicable, reprehensible and odious. The killers must not go unpunished". In a statement by the National Coordinator Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko and the National Media Affairs Director Miss Zainab Yusuf, HUMAN RIGHTS WRITERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (HURIWA) said it was completely unacceptable that armed security forces could open fire in a crowd of people in which women, Children and even the elderly gathered instead of the security forces to adopt civilised instrument of negotiations and persuasions to dismantle the gathering or at best to use rubber bullets but these crudely trained security forces decided to shoot at sight and to slaughter scores of civilians as if these persons are animals. "In as much as we do not condone disrespect of constituted authority, we think the punishment for failure to comply with the so called sanction of judicial ban of the Indigenous peoples of Biafra in Nigeria which is being contested in the Court of law, is not to use lethal weapons and kill persons the armed security forces suspect to be of this group. Even in the face of provocation, these persons who are totally unarmed ought not to have been killed as if the sanctity of their lives is eroded by their hip of a banned group. These killings must be investigated. The HUMAN RIGHTS WRITERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (HURIWA) absolutely condemns this despicable crime against humanity committed by the Nigerian security forces in Emene near Enugu and we hope the relevant authorities in Enugu will rise up to the challenge of defending the fundamental human rights of their people". HURIWA recalled that scores of persons may have died Sunday morning at Emene, Enugu, following a violent clash between security agents and of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB. The clash reportedly threw the whole Emene and environs into chaos and disrupted church services as worshippers of the various churches in the area ran helter-skelter to escape being caught in the crisis. HURIWA quoted the media as quoting an eyewitness as saying that the trouble started at about 7.00 am when some police officers invaded the Community Secondary School Emene where of IPOB were meeting, to disperse and arrest them. According to the , the attempt was resisted, turning the encounter bloody with IPOB reportedly overpowering the security operatives. In a swift reaction, a large reinforcement was called and over a dozen patrol vans loaded with armed security agents comprising police, army and DSS arrived the scene and faced the Biafran agitators. Sounds of gunfire and teargas fumes filled the area, particularly between St Patrick Secondary School and St Joseph Catholic Church along the old Abakaliki Road. One lamented that the premises of St. Patrick Secondary School was “flowing with blood” as fleeing IPOB were pursued into the school by security operatives https://www.thenigerianvoice.com/amp/news/291086/huriwa-condemns-police-massacre-of-ipob-in-emene.html |

Area4Area: Ahhh the Fulani man is back to protect his 'one Nigeria' caliphate I never said that that the countries said Kanu is a freedom fighter, I said they see him as one. The evidence is in Kanu freely travelling with no problems and Radio Biafra still operating from London. Oh yeah, we are going to have to query the COAS, General Burutai, for swearing an affidavit in court that the Nigerian Army went to Kanu's house when there is no video evidence to that effect. Can you imagine a whole General lying in court about that? I think the Nigerian government should sack him and try him in court for perjury for lying under oath that his men went to Kanu's house when they never went there. Dont you think so? 10 Likes |

Organs: The problem with Nigerians like you is that you take something as precious as human life as nothing. What COAS? Just a senior civil servant. Which civilised country will kill its own citizens over blocking of road, no matter who it is? Is this enough reason to take human life? There are 3 eyewitness s there, all of them say the same thing, that there was peace in the community until the security forces came to cause violence. What is the point of the security forces if they are the ones who bring death and destruction to a community that had no problem? Which law and order are the security forces maintaining if what they leave behind them is violence in s community that was enjoying peace and quiet before they came? There are many armed groups such as herdsmen who are killing people all over Enugu state and the DSS have time to go where people are exercising? Nigerians make me laugh |

The international community has no problem with Kanu at all. Thats why before Corona virus lockdown, Kanu visited Japan, Israel, America, , Switzerland and many others with no problem at all. Would those countries allow Kanu to be travelling freely if they had any issues with him or what he is doing? If you are still looking for evidence that Soldiers went Kanu's house after the COAS, General Burutai, has already put out an affidavit that was widely published in newspapers and online, itting that Soldiers went there on 14th September 2017, the same day that Kanu's house was invaded, then go and to learn to use Google 11 Likes |

onlinenix: In the case of Nnamdi Kanu, it will be impossible to extradite him to Nigeria. No country will agree to do that. The reason is that while the Nigerian government sees Kanu as a terrorist, the rest of the world sees him as a genuine freedom fighter who is exercising his constitutional right to agitate for self determination. Another reason is that the international community knows that Nnamdi Kanu had to flee Nigeria for his life when the Nigerian government sent Soldiers to kill him in his house. They know that this is gross violation of Kanu's fundamental rights. No sane country will send a British citizen like Kanu back to a country where his life is in danger Kanu will return to Nigeria at the appointed time but it wont be in the immidiate future. The reason is that those who want him dead are many, Buhari, the Nigerian Army, Arewa youths, Fulani supremacist and all those who believe Nigeria is the property of the North and anybody who is talking about self determination is a threat to them losing their property 16 Likes 1 Share |
