The South West and North that gained a lot of political capital from their homegrown terrorists are today swearing that peaceful IPOB is "stoking fires of war" grin bloody hypocrites

IPOB was not even formed because of politics like OPC that was formed as a secessionist militia after IBB annulled Abiola's election. IPOB simply wants a referendum.

Thats is what the hypocrites never say. OPC was was armed and killing people but that didnt deny Yorubas the Presidency with Obasanjo

Fulani herdsmen are armed and killing people but it didnt deny the Fulani's the Presidency with Buhari

IPOB are not armed and dont go about killing people. But all parts of of Nigeria will be screaming that IPOB are destroying Igbos politically despite the fact that IPOB did not do up to 1% of what OPC and herdsmen did.

I hate hypocrisy

This is for all those who keep ranting that the Indigenous People OF Biafra(IPOB) are damaging Igbos in Nigeria, politically and economically. Those who say that IPOB is causing division and making Igbos to be hated, read this:

In the late 90's OPC was an armed terror group that killed people, destroyed lives and property, even killed Policemen, all in the South West. Many Nigerians ran back to their Regions due to the violence OPC brought. Yet, OPC was never declared terrorists and their activities did not prevent a Yoruba man called Obasanjo being elected president in 1999. Infact, the OPC leader is now the highest titled man in Yoruba land.

Despite the fact that armed Fulani herdsmen are killing people in virtually every state in Nigeria, they have not been declared terrorists, and a Fulani man called Buhari was elected President in 2015 and re-elected in 2019

IPOB is an unarmed group that has not done up to 1% of what OPC and herdsmen have done, but were declared terrorists. If any thing, IPOBs problem has always been the heavy handed use of force by the security agents that causes clash between the two

So if OPC did not deprive Yorubas of any economic or political advantage, or getting Obasanjo elected

If Fulani killer herdsmen did not prevent Fulani men like Buhari and Yaradua from being elected President

Then how is IPOB damaging Igbos when others that were far worse than IPOB did not damage their people?

Be wise

How can a sane person wake up and say he will renounce the ethnic identity handed down to him by his ancestors to adopt a colonial identity the British imposed on him?

How can anyone be this daft?

The IPOB guys started protesting and chanting, ‘What did we do to the government that made the DSS to come and shoot us where we are playing in our community? What offence did we commit?’ They were chanting and going up and down, but none of them bore arms, except a few with sticks.”

They have normalised state sponsored terrorism without even know it. If not fir threads like this, who would know that many Nigerians think that the security forces have the right to go and kill who ever they like

Go and read about the arrested traffickers and see for yourself. None of them is hausa or Fulani. Not that I'm trying to diss Yoruba but ALL of them are from that tribe. The last Hausa man to be jailed outside Nigeria for a major crime is Abdulmutallab.

As I expected, you have nothing to show that we are depending on you. You said it yourself. There is an ONGOING project (meaning that we haven't even started "depending" on you yet). Mention just one thing that the north is currently benefitting from the southeast Sir!

About the gas, in case you are not aware, it is currently just polluting your region and being wasted in the atmosphere. Its main use for us would be electricity and if you decide to block it, we have other means (especially solar and hydro) to power our region.

Take it or leave it, you have nothing to offer Northern Nigeria. Just like you, we are simply leeching on Niger Delta oil and the earlier your shallow brain realizes that, the better for you. In fact I believe Kano, Kaduna and Katsina alone generate more IGR than your entire region. Go and Check. In of FDI, no southeastern state can compare to Kaduna. Again, go and educate yourself.

The major contribution is Boko haram, ISWAP, killer herdsmen and terrorism

It will be fake to you nah because truth is allergy to you.

I asked this same wuestion when this issue came up.

Pls tell me how DSS will just opened on people just doing prayer peacefully? Can you explain?

Every sane Igbo excluding you know how ipob are so rude, arrogant, chest beaten, miscreants, behaving like they are superhuman to be challenging men with gun as if they have bullet proof in their skin.

Pls free us with Ipig shit.....

Is it a new thing for the security forces in Nigeria to shoot unarmed people with no provocation? People are praying and training a a school every Sunday with no problem. But the Sunday DSS go there, there is problem everywhere and people are dead. What does that tell you?

The authorities say IPOB are armed, yet nobody has ever seen IPOB with arms except the authorities

Ipob has already been declared terrorists and so shall they be treated.
The miscreants killed DSS officials and you are calling them unarmed.

If I were you, I wouldn't be so concerned about IPOB, they do not go about killing people. If anything, their problem is always with the security forces who always clash with them.

What you should be more concerned with is Boko haram, ISWAP, killer herdsmen and Gana militants who are all armed and killing people across Nigeria daily, and drive many more into IDP camps. Those ones dont wait until they clash with security forces

If it been that way, may be the security forces would have realised that unarmed people who are exercising and meeting peacefully isnt priority and a lot lives would not have been needlessly wasted, both IPOB and Nigerians being killed daily.

Again, there is the truth and there are lies. You mentioned that there are herdsmen killing people all over Enugu state, "thats a lie" . Quit the lies. IPOB has been labelled a "terrorist group", you refuse to accept that designation and you still want to hold meetings. Why dont you take the case to court and get redress? No, you want to disobey law enforcement and come around and blame them for all the nonsense you caused. YES, the COAS, (who is an incompetent thief anyways) is an individual but he represents the army. There are army officers that said if he'd turned back that day they would've removed their uniform and quit the nigerian army. Think about the fact that history will say shite group turned back the COAS from age of a federal road because they are angry with the govt What will same shite tell you an individual if that is allowed to happen?? In the USA, you hear about blacks killed by police and all that. You heard the case of Amadou Diallo (read it up). Now compare public opinion and the victims, in most cases you won't hear about Nigerians or other Africans dying because they most probably obey the law, respect police officers and follow instructions. Yes there are crazy officers that will just shoot regardless, but that is fewer than those that get shot because they are confronting law enforcement. Case in point, one time i was travelling in Eastern Nigeria, at a Police checkpoint, this Igbo man commercial bus driver was stopped by the two policemen at the the checkpoint. The driver jumped down and shouted at the police officer and warned him for stopping him, saying na so so to dey collect money for road una sabi, useless people. He was livid, angry, insultive and condescending. The policeman was from Benue, his counterpart was angry and blocked the road and the Benue officer just said he should allow the driver go, now i swear to God, if i am a police officer, there is no way that Igboman will go that day. We all know Policemen collect money which is wrong, there are ways of correcting them or recording them and posting on SM etc but not arrogantly disrespecting them like that. Also, go again and watch Nnamdi Kanu in Nigerian court, pay attention to the behaviour and that of his lieutenants and tell me if not Nigeria if you can do all that to law enforcement anywhere in the world and get away with it.

Im an Enugu guy so dont tell what is going on there. Armed Fulani herdsmen have slaughtered people in Nimbo, Awgwu and Mgboho to mention a few. Infact, herdsmen killed a pregnant woman in Nchatancha which is less than 15 minutes drive from where this IPOB/DSS clash happend. Nchatancha people even carried the woman's body to stage protest. We did not see the DSS, Police and security forces mobilising for that one, but if it is unarmed people exercising in a field, they will know to come out fast.

Armed Herdsmen are slaughtering thousands of Nigerians each year from Southern Kaduna to Enugu state, your federal government has not designated them terrorists. But in 2017, your federal government rushed to court to designate IPOB a terrorist organisation, an unarmed group which had no record of killing anyone. What an embarrassment.

IPOB's case against its proscription is currently in the appeal court pending hearing. In civilised countries such as America, the shooting or killing of an unarmed person by the security forces can lead to a murder charge, as was done in the case of George floyd. But in an uncivilised country like Nigeria, some have come to think that the security forces have the right to kill anyone they like. Total disregard to the rules of engagement and the preservation of human life by the authorities.

IPOB is right to agitate to leave Nigeria, the way people reason in this country it is clear the country is heading no where

The Prominent Civil Rights Advocacy group- HUMAN RIGHTS WRITERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (HURIWA) has called for a judicial commission of inquiry to be constituted by the government of Enugu State South East of Nigeria to investigate the widespread reports that a combined team of Department of States Services (DSS); Military and armed Mobile Police committed massive killings of unarmed civilians that gathered at a school compoind in Emene near Enugu under the auspices of the self determination group- the Indigenous peoples of Biafra (IPOB).

The Rights group said it is a Crime against humanity for armed security forces to open fire with lethal weapons and live bullets in their attempt to quell a gathering of totally unarmed civilians in the 21st century Nigeria which paints Nigeria graphically as a killing field whereby armed security forces rather than deploy law- based approach in their law enforcement mechanisms have rather unfortunately chosen to go the way of deployment of brute force in their efforts to ensure maximum physical damage of the of the banned Indigenous peoples of Biafra (IPOB). "This action of the killer security forces is crude, brutal, despicable, reprehensible and odious. The killers must not go unpunished".

In a statement by the National Coordinator Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko and the National Media Affairs Director Miss Zainab Yusuf, HUMAN RIGHTS WRITERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (HURIWA) said it was completely unacceptable that armed security forces could open fire in a crowd of people in which women, Children and even the elderly gathered instead of the security forces to adopt civilised instrument of negotiations and persuasions to dismantle the gathering or at best to use rubber bullets but these crudely trained security forces decided to shoot at sight and to slaughter scores of civilians as if these persons are animals.

"In as much as we do not condone disrespect of constituted authority, we think the punishment for failure to comply with the so called sanction of judicial ban of the Indigenous peoples of Biafra in Nigeria which is being contested in the Court of law, is not to use lethal weapons and kill persons the armed security forces suspect to be of this group. Even in the face of provocation, these persons who are totally unarmed ought not to have been killed as if the sanctity of their lives is eroded by their hip of a banned group. These killings must be investigated. The HUMAN RIGHTS WRITERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (HURIWA) absolutely condemns this despicable crime against humanity committed by the Nigerian security forces in Emene near Enugu and we hope the relevant authorities in Enugu will rise up to the challenge of defending the fundamental human rights of their people".

HURIWA recalled that scores of persons may have died Sunday morning at Emene, Enugu, following a violent clash between security agents and of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

The clash reportedly threw the whole Emene and environs into chaos and disrupted church services as worshippers of the various churches in the area ran helter-skelter to escape being caught in the crisis.

HURIWA quoted the media as quoting an eyewitness as saying that the trouble started at about 7.00 am when some police officers invaded the Community Secondary School Emene where of IPOB were meeting, to disperse and arrest them.

According to the , the attempt was resisted, turning the encounter bloody with IPOB reportedly overpowering the security operatives.

In a swift reaction, a large reinforcement was called and over a dozen patrol vans loaded with armed security agents comprising police, army and DSS arrived the scene and faced the Biafran agitators.

Sounds of gunfire and teargas fumes filled the area, particularly between St Patrick Secondary School and St Joseph Catholic Church along the old Abakaliki Road.

One lamented that the premises of St. Patrick Secondary School was “flowing with blood” as fleeing IPOB were pursued into the school by security operatives

I never said that that the countries said Kanu is a freedom fighter, I said they see him as one. The evidence is in Kanu freely travelling with no problems and Radio Biafra still operating from London.

Oh yeah, we are going to have to query the COAS, General Burutai, for swearing an affidavit in court that the Nigerian Army went to Kanu's house when there is no video evidence to that effect. Can you imagine a whole General lying in court about that? I think the Nigerian government should sack him and try him in court for perjury for lying under oath that his men went to Kanu's house when they never went there. Dont you think so?

For Nigeria to succeed a Yoruba man who has lived in Warri for 15 years, should have an equal opportunity to be appointed as Commissioner of Justice in Delta State. Likewise a Hausa man who has lived in Lagos for 15 years, should have an equal opportunity to be appointed as Commisoner of Finance.

Before this can happen, Nigerians must have grown to see each other as one. If that has not happened since 1914 that Lugard created Nigeria, its not going to happen any time soon.

We are what we have always been, ethnic nationalities that the British forced together. Nigeria is a country but not a nation, what divides is far stronger than what brings us together

One thing i know for sure is this, if the eye witness is an IPOB member or IPOB sympathiser, be sure the eye witness will be full of lies and one sided to gain sympathy. Its their trademark. Secondly, IPOB is always comparing themselves vs the army with bokoharam ves the army, what does that tell you? Also, there are so many boko haram killed by the army and the vigilante, in a brutal manner (google it) but they are in the fight still fighting, not complaining, they have chosen that path and hopefully our army will triumph one day, that is a given. Thirdly, IPOB are known to be very unruly, insulty, and they do not care about the army, the police or any authority, they want to disobey the Police, boast about it, disrespect and even attack those that do not buy into their ideology but blame police and army for trying to maintain law and order. Also, they take orders from Nnamdi Kanu or their other commanders and will do anything contrary to law enforcements directives. Conclusively, they have a lot of hate and hurt in their heart and are generally antagonistic. So, make up your mind, when Shite blocked the streets in KD and stopped the COAS age, the army opened fire and lots of people died. If youre ready to disobey the law, be ready to be arrested, if you want to fight or block the arrest, then be ready for confrontation which might lead to whatever.....

The problem with Nigerians like you is that you take something as precious as human life as nothing. What COAS? Just a senior civil servant. Which civilised country will kill its own citizens over blocking of road, no matter who it is? Is this enough reason to take human life? There are 3 eyewitness s there, all of them say the same thing, that there was peace in the community until the security forces came to cause violence. What is the point of the security forces if they are the ones who bring death and destruction to a community that had no problem?

Which law and order are the security forces maintaining if what they leave behind them is violence in s community that was enjoying peace and quiet before they came? There are many armed groups such as herdsmen who are killing people all over Enugu state and the DSS have time to go where people are exercising? Nigerians make me laugh

This Fulani man who wants the Biafran agitation to die so that they can continue with thier ownership of Nigeria has come again.

The international community has no problem with Kanu at all. Thats why before Corona virus lockdown, Kanu visited Japan, Israel, America, , Switzerland and many others with no problem at all. Would those countries allow Kanu to be travelling freely if they had any issues with him or what he is doing?

If you are still looking for evidence that Soldiers went Kanu's house after the COAS, General Burutai, has already put out an affidavit that was widely published in newspapers and online, itting that Soldiers went there on 14th September 2017, the same day that Kanu's house was invaded, then go and to learn to use Google

The leader of Indegenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Mazzi Nnadi Kanu, no doubt is a courageous and fearless person. Without mixing words I'm a big fan of him.

From all indication, he has exposed and opened the eyes of everyone against injustice and the need for freedom.

If will you agree with me, Nnadi Kanu would have been in Prison or death by now if he's in Nigeria preaching what he's currently doing in a far away country today.

1. The question is, is't possible for Nigeria government to pressure the country Kanu is currently residing for him to be extracted?

2. If Nnadi Kanu decides to enter Nigeria today, what do you think would happend?

Please kindly share your thoughts here

In the case of Nnamdi Kanu, it will be impossible to extradite him to Nigeria. No country will agree to do that. The reason is that while the Nigerian government sees Kanu as a terrorist, the rest of the world sees him as a genuine freedom fighter who is exercising his constitutional right to agitate for self determination. Another reason is that the international community knows that Nnamdi Kanu had to flee Nigeria for his life when the Nigerian government sent Soldiers to kill him in his house. They know that this is gross violation of Kanu's fundamental rights. No sane country will send a British citizen like Kanu back to a country where his life is in danger

Kanu will return to Nigeria at the appointed time but it wont be in the immidiate future. The reason is that those who want him dead are many, Buhari, the Nigerian Army, Arewa youths, Fulani supremacist and all those who believe Nigeria is the property of the North and anybody who is talking about self determination is a threat to them losing their property

There will be no automatic ticket here in the south, we want who ever the south west present to come forward and contest the primaries with other southern aspirants. Any attempt by any group of politicians especially from the North to automatic ticket to the south west wether APC or PDP will be resisted in full force.

If the South West can’t the Niger delta complete it’s tenure then the Igbos who have not had the opportunity before will be considered.

We the Niger delta have the resources and voting strength, if the North can’t the Niger delta stand, then we will play the best music Nigeria understands which will affect the crude oil production sector whether positive or negative time will tell.

The Niger delta will present Rotimi Amaechi to cover the South South second term and Igbo presidency since Rotimi Amaechi has said he is igbo even though he is from ikwerre local government in the Ikwerre ethnic nationality of Rivers state.

If the 2023 Presidency is going to be zoned to the South South then it is only fair that Ibibios, Ogoni, Efiks, Urohbos and the rest be allowed to put forward their candidates. Whoever wins, wins
