MaxInDHouse: Our Lord Jesus knew the Jews were already practicing tithing meticulously and he encouraged them to continue. He only focused on what they weren’t doing - judgment, mercy and faith. Hence, he said: Matthew 23:23 23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for YE PAY TITHE OF MINT AND ANISE AND CUMMINS, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: THESE OUGHT YE TO HAVE DONE, and not to leave the other undone He acknowledged that they pay tithes and he didn't ask them to stop. He even said that they ought to pay it but not neglect other more important things. The mercy here stands for helping the poor. And he asked them to sell their possessions to help the poor. This commitment is far more than tithing. It's like giving 100% of what you have. So, how did Jesus not teach about tithing? His teachings on giving places far greater demand on us. |

Matthew 7:15-21 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? (Compare) 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. |

“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11, NIV) I understand that this title may come across as offensive to some—especially those who are guilty of the things I’m about to highlight. But please hear me: this is not about condemnation, but confrontation. We are instructed by Scripture not only to separate ourselves from works of darkness, but also to reprove—that is, expose—them. This article is not written from a pedestal of perfection. I am not claiming to be a flawless minister. None of us are. However, there is a significant difference between falling into error and deliberately practicing wickedness while claiming to represent the Kingdom of God. When a pastor errs and repents, God's grace abounds. But when someone engages in sinful practices without even seeing them as wrong—and worse, leads others down the same path—that person becomes a danger not only to themselves but to the souls under their influence. So let us examine ten categories of dangerous pastors that every believer should beware of. 1. Oppressive Senior Pastors These are some General Overseers or senior pastors who actively suppress and persecute younger ministers under them. They often feel threatened by the grace and potential they see in others. After asking a young pastor to pioneer a new work and grow it, they suddenly uproot them to a rural area and withdraw all . When these young ministers quietly leave to start their own work, they are falsely accused, blackmailed, arrested, and publicly disgraced—all in an attempt to destroy their credibility. In extreme cases, some even resort to violent or deadly plots. While appearing humble and godly before their congregations, they are spiritually manipulative behind closed doors. Unless they repent, such pastors will not escape God’s judgment. They will not even “smell the gates of heaven.” 2. Greedy Pastors These pastors exploit gullible followers through manipulative teachings and false promises. They demand payment for miracles, deliverance, or “special prayers”—contradicting the words of Jesus: “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Matthew 10: ![]() Salvation and healing are not commodities. Any pastor who sells what Jesus gave freely is dangerous. 3. Business-Minded Pastors These pastors turn the church into a commercial centre. They sell all kinds of “anointed” oils, waters, soaps, and handkerchiefs, promising healing or prosperity. Some have even sold fake “Blood of Jesus” in bottles. One pastor in Nigeria reportedly built a swimming pool and charged N50,000 for people to bathe in it for healing. It’s astonishing how easily people are deceived when they fail to study the Scriptures for themselves. 4. Deceptive Pastors These are con artists in clerical collars. They use fake prophecies and planted informants to extract money, property, and loyalty from unsuspecting . Even the so-called “miracle money” or “credit alerts” in services are often stage-managed. Behind the scenes, they have access to people’s bank details and use it to orchestrate the appearance of divine intervention. These are wolves in sheep’s clothing. 5. Ritualist Pastors These are perhaps the most terrifying of all. They engage in diabolical practices—burying charms under altars, using human sacrifices, and invoking dark powers to grow their congregations. There are verified reports of children being buried alive under church foundations and horrifying rituals performed under the guise of ministry. Many of these so-called pastors also indulge in occult-driven sexual perversion, which ties into the next category. 6. Sexually Immoral Pastors There is a difference between a minister who falls into sin and one who habitually lives in it. Some pastors today are serial adulterers and fornicators, even abusing minors or engaging in incest—often as part of dark covenants. Shockingly, their churches continue to grow, not because of the Spirit, but because of demonic reinforcement. Many of their followers appear hypnotized, blindly loyal despite all the evidence. 7. Heretical Pastors These are pastors who twist Scripture to justify sinful lifestyles or strange doctrines. They ignore centuries of biblical truth and redefine righteousness according to their flesh. “…which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” (2 Peter 3:16). One such pastor even claimed that premarital sex is now permitted. This is not progressive Christianity—it is apostasy. “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” (1 Timothy 4:1) 8. Compromising Pastors These are crowd-pleasers who preach only what people want to hear. They avoid topics like holiness, repentance, and the judgment of God. “For the time will come when people will not endure sound doctrine… they will gather around them teachers to suit their own desires.” (2 Timothy 4:3). Paul, however, made it clear: “For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God" (Acts 20:27). Sound doctrine includes teaching, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). Pastors who fail to provide this balance endanger the souls of their congregation. 9. Hyper-Grace Pastors These pastors teach eternal security without responsibility. They claim that once you’re saved, you can never lose your salvation—regardless of how you live. While it’s true that salvation is by grace (Ephesians 2: ![]() “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works…” (Ephesians 2:10) Grace is not a license to sin. Scripture repeatedly warns that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21). 10. Loveless Pastors These are pastors who teach prosperity and enjoy its fruits, but lack comion for their struggling . While constantly raising offerings for projects, they neglect the poor, the sick, and the needy within the church. Jesus warned: “Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me… and these shall go away into everlasting punishment.” (Matthew 25:45-46) Love is the greatest Christian virtue (1 Corinthians 13:13), yet it is often ignored in most churches today. This article is not intended to attack, but to warn and awaken. Many believers have been misled by these dangerous pastors and may be on the path to eternal separation from God. But : you will not be excused because your pastor misled you. God expects every believer to study the Word personally, like the Berean Christians who: “…received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” (Acts 17:11) Don't swallow every sermon blindly. Test everything with the Word of God. But first, ensure you are born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, for only then can you rightly discern truth from error. “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) |

Procashtips: All these is happening because most of these ministers didn't build their lives on the foundation of the New kind of love Jesus brought and the Apostles taught. It's not even in the curriculum in most churches in the beginner's class. So, they raise generations of leaders that are just like them. The story of the Rich Man and Lazarus is replaying itself in a more worrisome way. |

A glimpse of the Great White Throne Judgment Day Revelation 20:11-15 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. note 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Is your name in the book of life? |

CHAPTER TWELVE - The Danger of Rejecting Gods Plan of Salvation for Your Life (Excerpt from my book, How to Be Born Again?) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. - John 3:16-18. God is a God of love. He also is a God of judgment. All who reject Gods plan of salvation for their lives are putting themselves in danger of Gods judgment. The final destiny of those who reject Gods plan of salvation is the lake of fire. When a sinner dies, his soul goes to hell where he is held in custody and tormented till the final judgment day. Some argue that hell isn't real, questioning how a loving God could create a place to punish people for eternity. Hell is real my readers. It is clearly revealed in God’s word. God did not create hell for man. It was prepared for the devil and his angels. However, those who chose to reject Gods plan of salvation for their lives will also be punished there. If God exempt man from such punishment, the devil will have a right to question Gods system of judgment. If he cast Satan away from heaven for plotting to overthrow him, then mankind should also face his wrath for disobedience. When people think of hell, they tend to assume it is reserved only for those who are blatantly wicked. Good people also go to hell. In fact, most good people who are dead are in hell. They are good enough in the sight of men but if they do not accept Gods plan of salvation, they will go there. There was a man in the book of Acts named Cornelius. The Bible testified of him as a good man and devoted in serving God but he didn’t know Jesus. God had to send Peter to him to tell him words by which he can be saved. Cornelius would have gone to hell in spite of his good deeds if he had not accepted Jesus. So many today are on their way to hell through the gate of their church. They are so committed to their church and even give so much money. You cannot fault their moral conduct but if they do not accept Jesus, they will go to hell. God has given us examples of his fierce judgment on mankind in the past. The first is the destruction of the first world through flood when only Noah and his family were saved. The second is the destruction of two cities, Sodom and Gomorrah that were literarily licked by fire. Are these examples not enough warning for us? Jude said: Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, SUFFERING THE VENGEANCE OF ETERNAL FIRE. (Jude 1:7) If you say that hell is not real, then Jesus lied to us because he spoke about hell in such a way that did not leave any ambiguity on the subject. There were occasions he did not even use the term hell to describe the eternal destruction of lost souls. He used the word, furnace of fire and outer darkness: As therefore the tares are gathered and BURNED IN THE FIRE; SO SHALL IT BE IN THE END OF THIS WORLD. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; AND SHALL CAST THEM INTO A FURNACE OF FIRE: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 13:40-42). Why not take advantage of the way of escape God has provided for you by the sacrifice of his Son on the cross rather than arguing about the reality of hell. Jesus does not joke with words. Everything he says comes to . Our Lord Jesus said: Heaven and earth shall away, but my words shall not away. (Matthew 24:35) Jesus himself is the one that has the power to cast into hell and he says we should fear him more than those who can only kill the body: And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) If the grave could not hold him down, is it now that he is alive that anyone can stop him? He is coming back to judge the world. The sign of his appearance alone will cause great panic such that people will prefer rocks to fall on them than to face Christ: And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; AND SAID TO THE MOUNTAINS AND ROCKS, FALL ON US, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? (Revelation 6:14-17) The Life on earth is so short compared to eternity. The suffering in hell and finally in the lake of fire is too severe compared with the temporal pleasures of sin on earth. Hence Jesus warned: For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Mark 8:36-37) For detailed teaching on this subject, see my book, The Scriptural Revelation of Hell. |

noobaland30: Yes, Jesus is God in human flesh. But he was also man because of the human body he was putting on. His mission was to save mankind. This is why he willingly died. Otherwise, nobody could have been able to kill him. He said: John 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. If he didn't die, mankind would have still been under the dominion of Satan. And we would all be heading for hell. So, what happened on the cross was the greatest demonstration of God's love for mankind. Hence, our Lord Jesus said; John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. He died to save you and me. Legally, everyone sin has been paid for. But it is not vitally yours until you accept it. If you reject it, you have made a choice to continue to be under the dominion of Satan. And when you die, your soul will go straight to hell. |

If leaders can be bought with money, should followers allow themselves to be bought with money too? Power belongs to the people. Let's shone these system of government that doesn't mean well for the larger populace. We only need to ensure that proper electoral process is followed. Are we not tired of being ruled by these polithiefians?

1. Sinless Nature Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life (Hebrews 4:15). Only someone without sin could offer Himself as a pure sacrifice for the sins of others (1 Peter 1:19). 2. Divine Identity Jesus is not merely a prophet or teacher—He is God in human flesh (John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9). As God, only He has the power to save and forgive sins (Mark 2:5-7). 3. Atoning Death on the Cross Jesus gave His life as a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28), bearing the punishment for our sins (Isaiah 53:5-6). His death was substitutionary and redemptive. 4. Resurrection from the Dead Jesus rose bodily from the grave (Luke 24:6; Romans 1:4), proving His victory over sin, death, and hell—something no one else has ever done. 5. Exclusive Mediator The Bible says, “There is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5). No one else qualifies to bridge the gap between a holy God and sinful humanity. 6. Power to Give Eternal Life Jesus alone promises and grants eternal life to those who believe in Him (John 10:28; John 11:25-26). No religious leader or system can offer this. 7. Fulfillment of Prophecy Jesus fulfilled over 300 Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah (e.g., Micah 5:2, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 53), confirming His divine mission and identity. These qualities establish Jesus Christ as the only true Saviour and the sole hope of eternal salvation for all humanity (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). 1 Like 1 Share |
