It’s not greed.
It’s poverty and ignorance
Joezinho:
As at September last year, over 300B had been lost to Ponzi schemes.

People ask why these scams are so successful here. Obviously, many Nigerians are basically greedy and wherever there's greed, corruption, prosperity without work, there you'd find these ponzi schemes flourishing at quicker paces. It's a thing of shame that after MMM and loss of over 20 billion naira, first grade idiots are still falling for this very basic scam.

Everyday, victims cry on social media and imploring EFCC and CBN to step in. The irony is, thousands of 'follow come' mugus are still lining up for the next wave of scams despite warnings from the govt. Lotteries are all over the place and owners are smiling to the banks.

Even Peter Okoye of P-square is making serious money from idiots on WhatsApp. Just promise 100% ROI within 30 days and viola you'd strike billions of naira.

What type of car do you use bro?
I just changed my compressor for 70k.
Prices of these items vary depending on type of car. Besides, 100k is still high to fix AC and be collecting N500 trips. there are always lots of things to fix on car... AC is just one small thing.
otabuko:

You can easily insult anyone online.
Condenser = 22,000
Compressor = 30,000
Valve = 3,000
Freezer = 8,000
Radiator = 32,0000
Workmanship + gas =11,000
Total = 106,000
Just worked all my car ac system. Infact as a matter of fact I changed the radiator for better ac performance...

Na only you get car bro.
juwoonn(m): 9:50am On May 31, 2022
Lolz.... only you in the car, right? Oya calculate 18 engers for an 18 enger bus and calculate how much regular drivers will make if they pack 18 people from your pickup to your destination. You’ll see that regular drivers and even Okadars earn higher than bolt drivers.
N500 X 18 = N9000 for 30 minutes trip.
You in bolt pays N3600 for 30 minutes (which I doubt because 30 minutes ride with bolt is around N1500 here.
shortgun:
Greedy people, bolt and uber fares is high compared to city cabs.
Just yesterday I paid #3,600 for a trip of less than 30mins, the other time when I was in Lagos Bolt charged me about 8k from lekki to Festac.
People use their services cos of convenience not they are cheap.

May God provide a car for you soon. You’ll understand when you start using a car.

juwoonn(m): 9:30am On May 31, 2022
That 20k, is it pure profit? He go don burn 10k fuel, pay bolt commission and if car go spoil lassan, car parts are on the high now. To fix ordinary shaft, 12k commot for my pocket ytd. To service car, you’ll spend almost 15k... (servicing is a regular thing for a car that’s always working). ordinary engine oil that used to be 5k last year is now 10k+
Not to talk of replacing tires.
kekakuz:
I feel their pain tho.
But I know a bolt guy that makes about 20k on Saturdays alone.
How Is He doing it that you people are complaining

I think you’re overreacting bro.
I just laugh it off when my kids say such things. They’re just street slangs that’d face away soon. No biggie.
Learning few street slangs could prevent your kid from getting “ride upon” by other kids at sch or on the street.
princeemmma:
Recently I heard my daughter saying "Zazoo zeh" she is not up to 2years though. Am that kind of person that always caution myself and watch the kind of music I listen at home, but she did not learn the word at home, am sure she might have heard it somewhere in her mom shop, because my wife shop is located somewhere very rough, a lot of children in the environment. But my wife does not see this as a big deal. She always told me that she can't stop the little girl from playing with other children in the hood and that's true. That day when I heard her say that word, I called her to myself and told her not to say the word again that it's not good saying such word, she nodded in approval.

Two days ago I heard her saying this common words "Eni pe". I felt really bad, because I don't want my daughter to learn those bad words, but my wife feel am overreacting.

Am I overreacting truly? How do I stop my daughter from saying such words?

Please help a friend

You guys listen to one side of a story and judge.. haha
First, what type of car did he buy? How much did he buy the car? And what’s the cost of building a house?
Secondly, what’s the purpose of buying the car? Is it to do Uber/bolt/car hire and make more money (investment)?
If the cost of buying the car is less than 5M and the purpose is to do Uber/bolt, the man made a good decision; because they can start building the house and get stuck halfway with 5M.
Truvelisback:
The man is a Fool. Na wetin him wan use car do? Car could break down at anytime and the price could depriciate with time but building a house is a lifetime investment. He could have rented some of the rooms while they live in 2rooms. I percieve they are even living in a rented appartment.
frozen70:

If both of them raised the money for building and he decided to buy the car

If am the woman, I will collect the car and use it for my children

Then go behind him buy a land and start building secretly

This is one of the reasons women builds house without their husband's consent

He just want to show of with the car, whereas accommodation in is what the family need not car

The problem is that these cars could be snatched one or two hours to the robbery... giving the owners little or no time to report before casala burst... wahala
somehow:
They definitely must have stolen these cars they used except if the owners didn't report these stolen vehicles when they happened.

How many BUA bags did they use? I’m counting just 7 from the images.
People buy thousands of these bags per day.
When I was building my house women come to the site to pick bags for resale.
Go to the market you’ll see bagco bag sellers hanging bags of dangote, bua, semo etc in their hundreds. You won’t be able to arrest them through BUA bags. It’s super easy to buy hundreds of them inside market and on the streets... it’s like saying they should arrest everyone that buys a bagco bag if they used bagco. The best the Police can do to arrest them is with their fingerprints on the car and sack.... because even the vehicles might have been stolen at gunpoint.
Kingcalls:
They should start by looking for those that bought or tried to get empty BUA sacks...they should visit building sites and cement sellers
