I have always wanted to ask the questions... How come those people are poor? The system on Canada and the US works (I believe) 4 so why are there poor people over there?

So many reasons. Many don’t want to work but comfortable claiming weekly/monthly benefits that is not taxed.

Many are homeless and live in council/municipal/province funded houses. During the day they begin to roam the streets and come back at nigh to sleep.

Some can be excovict who would have maxed out their credit rating.

Many good be having some underlying health conditions and because of the benefits they are on they will choose not to work. Many don’t just like hardwork, majority of these guys are not greedy and contented.

The reasons why some people are poor in 1st world are just endless.

Run a lean government, cut down waste and ghost workers. Intentionally improve governance systems and process and make it more efficient then step on toes and stop servicing useless state/national cartels (what many people call god-fathers).
