Good write up with sources we can not check. I strongly condemn all forms of abuse and strongly encourage Love and respect.
However, one thing I hate most especially from the woman side is, most believe its only women that suffer from domestic violence.
We should all condemn violence against everyone and not shout only when it's against a woman, but when it happens to a man, we say "stop complaining is he not a man"? Or simply downplay it.
So, if he is a man he can be verbally abuse, emotionally abuse or even physically abuse? (some women and stronger than their men).
So, if you're in a toxic relationship, use your tongue to count your teeth. Forget about what people will say and act.
You just echoed my thoughts.
Domestic violence in Nigeria context is tricky because when domestic violence is been mentioned, most people only see the physical abuse side.
Most men are being abused emotionally, mentally and economically but the sad truth is that when few men try to open up, they are being laughed upon and called weak men.
As more women come out to expose physical abuse, more men should also speak out too.

In football, There are some Strikers who excel very well with a Partner! They create a formidable strike force!
If one does not score, he makes the other to score.
A good example is Vincent Aboubakar and Karl Toko Ekambi in the AFCON 2022!
It reminded me of Double strike Forces of yesteryears!
No be today you start dey watch ball
*Samuel Eto'o and Patrick Mboma.
*Micheal Owen and Emile Heskey
*Ronaldo de lima and Rivaldo
*Thierry Henry and Robert Pires.
*Wayne Rooney and R.V.Nistelrooy
*Harry Kane and Son. H.M.
*Ibrahimovic and Henrik Larsson.
*Miroslav klose and Muller.
Mine is: Thierry Henry and Robert Pires! In 2002,03,04, The two French men were something else. Fast, skilful and Clinical.
SO WHAT'S URS?

I tried to understand this, I couldn't.
A husband asks his wife: 'who should come for omugwo' and wifey said 'her mother'
Let's assume the husband wanted his mother to come over because he is the man/it is her right/or whatever:
Was the husband not supposed to state he wants his mother to come because of X, Y Z?
How can you ask your wife a question, she gives a 'wrong' answer and you start to fight and ruin things?
Does it make sense to you?
Just maybe the tone in which you used in answering triggered all these.
how you say things is as important as what you say.

You seem to align with what you want to hear, which are the opinions of mostly female readers who are talking from the their own experience and perspective.
Most guys giving you advice have ed through this exact same scenario. I also had a serious girl friend that told me she had a guy friend, she talks to and visits regularly. Still the same excuse "he is only a friend". I told her to cut it and I don't tolerate male unrelated friends. She told me I should not control her. I only heard rumours that she visited him after I banned her not to. That was the end of the relationship. Mind you this was a 3 year relationship and I truly loved her. She came to her senses three weeks later and came to beg for forgiveness. Me, I don't forgive because I warned her of the consequences before she she decided to to go over to the guys place. If she would not listen to me on such a critical thing while we are dating, is it after we marry that she will obey me?
You will learn the hard way.
If she doesn't listen to me on a critical thing while we are dating, is it after we marry that she will obey??
Deep!!

I think you need to realise that cheating doesn't always have to be physical.
Op, she is cheating on you emotionally, and trust me, it is the worst form of cheating. The twist is that you might not see the damages now, but when it finally comes it will be like a turnado. Be wise.

Emotional manipulation. I was in the same boat as you were in. Call off the engagement while you can. If you allow this slide trust me, it will come back to hunt you and you might be full of regrets.
She isn't emotionally ready for marriage neither does she respects you.
Leave her now. I can assure you when she realizes her error, she will come begging.

We are a funny people. Nigerians blame government for Yahoo boys crimes. We lack the concept of taking responsibility for our actions.
It is so sad our value system has fully degraded. I back in Primary school where we read about village where people left their wares unattended to, just pick what you want and drop the money. Today such thinking will earn you derisive laughter.
I also the stories in Macmillan. Those good old days.

Every Nigerian should kick against free electricity because the discos are the ones that would benefit from it.
Here is how free electricity can work. The government will pay the Discos billions of naira so they can offer free electricity to their customers.
The problem here is that the discos currently are offering darkness to most of their customers.
Therefore, don't expect a miracle because of free electricity. Majority who are still in darkness would remain in darkness while the few that enjoy some hours of power supply would be happy.
5,000-7,000 megawatts of electricity for a country with a population of more than 160 million can't reach a quarter of the population.
The only gainers here are the discos that will be paid by the government to supply 'darkness' to majority of Nigerians.
I doubt if Power generation has even reached 7,000MW.
Upon the monies pumped into the power, we have nothing to show for it.

Blindersoff: ONE NIGERIA MY PEOPLE ONE NIGERIA!!!
She gave respect and got respect back. Respect is reciprocal and brings honour to you. The Bible says in Proverbs 22:29, “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.”
She has been diligent for 31 years and today in a land not her own she has been lifted and promoted.
God bless NIGERIA
I'm sure this was the Nigeria our fore fathers wanted.
But unnecessary tribalism and needless hatred has tore us far apart.
God bless Nigeria.

BUSINESSARENAA:
I once said that the closure of these borders is not a properly thought idea, but some ignorant entities were ranting up and down.
Rice is not the only commodity that es through a border. There are a lot of genuine business that es through the land border.
If you are importing or exporting to some of the west African countries, it's easier and more cost effective to use the land boarders than the sea port.
Imagine a man exporting textiles to Ghana from Kano, how possibly will he do that through the sea port in APAPA?
I am totally against rice smuggling but the government should have come up with smarter ideas to deal with this issue, and not shutting down the whole boarder.
Presently I have about two trailers of hides and skin from Mali parked at the boarder incurring bills, with high possibility of spoiling within the shortest period of time because of its present condition.
How do I import from Mali to Nigeria through the seaport?
It is only those that does not understand what happens at the land boarders that are jumping up and down.
Once again I reiterate my stance against smuggling rice through the boarders, but we have to be more tactical in handling certain issues as regards to our economy.
This boarder issue in Nigeria is like a fly perching on a man's scrotal sack, you have to apply wisdom in dealing with it, if not you may end up hurting yourself terribly bad if you hit it with great force.
I can't agree any less. Cutting off the head to cure a headache is massive stupidity. The FG should come up with smarter ways to resolve this issue.
