Note: what made me laugh was the “original backward ibo” comment, fast forward to half a century later, the ibos are still backward people, go figure.

This your document says Igbos were from the Niger Delta shocked

See my last post above.

The post you are referring to has nothing to do with your claim that Gowon needed the Igbos to balance against fulani domination. Why are you referring to it? Even this your new post is full of beer parlour gist and inaccuracies that a little research can solve. We have dismantled such over and over on this site but every now and again someone will try unsuccessfully to sneak the same lies into the conversation

I bet you were unaware that Ojukwu paid top dollars for european mercenaries to fly sorties for his biafra, trained and fought with his rag tag "liberation" front

Biafra had one or two planes in its small airforce flown by likes of Ijaw pilot, Willie Murray-Bruce (Ben Murray-Bruce's elder brother). Count Von Rosen is the only foreigner who flew fighter missions for Biafra and he volunteered with his own plane. He was not a mercenary. Try another style

The only reason Gowon and the middle belt fought to keep Nigeria one was to check the excesses of the Fulanis.

Gowon opposed vehmently Murtala's Operation Araba out of genuine concerns that the minorities in the north would have been under the yoke of the Muslim north if Arewa had secceded after the mutiny of July, 1966.

With this in the background, Gowon's reasons of insisting on bringing back the core Igbo states back to Nigeria was based on ensuring the Igbo return will help balance the power of he Muslim north as that of the Yorubas and ND was not adequate.

These are the two stupid decisions Gowon made.

Are the Muslim north not killing and oppressing his people today?

Secondly, Gowon should have stopped advancing after the Niger Delta regions where liberated from Biafra and left the Igbos to their own device.

Wrong. At that time the people of the middle belt still thought they were part of the north. Its after they used them to fight the war that they told them that they were not "core north"

Its because of Alpha Beach that I laugh at all people who say Fashola was a good governor. It was under his government that the ocean took over the coastal road that leads to okun-ajah and he didnt even notice talkless of intervene. Sanwo-Olu seems like a good guy to be honest if his attention is drawn to it he might take action

please learn to ignore anti-igbo and anti-biafra threads on NL, quoting them will do you no good just overlook them, creating tons of anti-Igbo and anti-biafra threads will not change nothing about our ideology its no going back , thanks to seun for creating this forum it has really helped us in demystifying the mindset of the average Nigerian towards the igbos , all I see is hatred, bitterness but I dont care anymore it's too late , you cannot patch a broken egg our minds are made up.

I am actually very happy when I see those anti-igbo posts because it opens the eyes of efulefus (at least the ones who can still be redeemed) and naive igbos about what nigeria really thinks of them. Those anti-igbo posters are not smart people and their posts are very easy to dismantle but they have really helped drive Igbo consciousness and pride in our people who read them and I love it.

Yoruba Jobs for Yoruba People: A snippet of what the Yoruba Conservatives will do with power:

As part of the change we the conservative Yoruba politicians are bringing to Yorubaland at large is the implementation of a policy on SELF-PRESERVATION.

All the companies and government agencies in Yorubaland would have to agree to our employment quotas before such organization can start and set up their businesses in Yorubaland.

The quotas include:

1. 90% of the job portfolios must be reserved for Yoruba citizens first and foremost.

2. All companies listed on the Lagos Stock Exchange must have Yoruba as Managing Director and Head of Human Resources.

3. 90% of the management staff positions must be reserved for Yoruba citizens.

The below image signifies that we are ready to change the course of history in Yorubaland for the good of our descendants.

Omo eni ki sedi bebere ki a fi ileke sidi omo elomiran, ni Yoruba wi but, only a very few Yorubas understand what self-preservation means.
Bisi Omo Olubadan
Director of Intelligence and Cyber Security
Young Yoruba for Freedom

Who are these area boys abeg grin grin grin grin

Fight for your oduduwa republic if you want autonomy, leave all this awada keri-keri. Una go first pay us for all the infrastructure that SE/SS oil money built in Lagos. I am not taking about the evils of the Nigerian Army officers but YOUR stand on the matter.

What goes around, comes around.

No doubts the whole Igbo tribe never planned a coup but a section of the military officers, inspited by tribal loyalty more than any other thing tried to hijacked the political leadership of the country without thinking deeply about the consequences, however it backfired and the rest is History!

You are speaking out of prejudice. Two of your tribesmen who were part of the coup wrote books almost forty years ago and have rubbished this dead conspiracy theory

The Special Branch Report was never released but the participants confirmed it's authenticity.

It was not released because it implicated some NCNC Politicians.

Why would the Gowon regime with all the bitter northern extremist hardliners want to cover NCNC politicians who were from the Eastern region and were people that they hated and were eager to punish. This makes no sense please...

The logical reason why it was never released was that :

1. The Report proved that it was not an Igbo coup
2. Some senior northern officers like Hassan Katsina were part and parcel of the coup and ed it from the shadows

The picture here shows Nzeogwu on the right and Hassan Katsina on the left answering journalists questions the morning after the coup. This original picture just surfaced recently. The propagandists have only been showing us the one that shows Nzeogwu alone with Katsina cropped out

His story and that of the O.P is a concocted fairytale. Its just semantics to whip up sentiments and Yoruba's are exceptional in this kind of assymetric warfare.

He cited a discredited source and is trying to claim that source with no name is superior to Akintola's son who was there that night and is also a more authoritative source than Adewale Ademoyega himself.

Yes and that book was written by a South Easterner. But all agree that Akintola's Nephew was shot dead by Capt Nwobosi and his soldiers.
My mother visited Akintola's compound on that day to see the grisly spectacle. Ibadan people trooped there to see what had befallen the Premier.

So the writer had details that Akintola's son who was there did not know about? Akintola's nephew was not killed and nobody else was harmed in that attack. Do you think Akintola's son would hide a detail like that? His statement was very clear - "None of the children's wives or their children were injured". That totally discredits your source. Adewale Ademoyega's very detailed book did not mention it either.

Most importantly the Special Branch Report was never released ....

One thing I know is that Igbo will never rule dis country

Igbos built an airport few years after the war from the pockets of ordinary people in one state. The SE is the region with the best quality of life in Nigeria. If you check educational results SE kids get the best results every year. The regions that have had presidency are drowning under the weight of bandits, boko haram, one million boys and area boys.

What Akintola's son said was none of Akintola's Children were killed. Akintola's Nephew was shot dead while attending to the Generator and it is in the Police Special Branch report . That was why Police. removed 2 bodies from Akintola's compound.

SPECIAL BRANCH REPORT: "Military Rebellion of 15th January 1966"

This is what you shared initially. It states that Akintola's daughter in-law and grandchild were injured but Akintola's son did not even mention them. How possible is that? What is the source of this your information. The official Special Branch Report you are citing was never released

Yes Akintola's unarmed Nephew was shot dead as soon as the Soldiers entered Akintola's compound and saw him.
.

It was just some over ambitious Officers who refused to hear word and wait for God's time promotion and instead decided to kill their way to the top. It wasn't Igbo's fault Some Igbo Officers had pulled out of the Coup because they didn't want to harm anyone. It was the rebellious ones who created problems for everyone.

Akintola used a sub-machine gun not a shotgun

Learn your History. Lying can't change the truth. Akintola's unarmed Nephew was killed by Capt Nwobosi and his Soldiers and his Daughter and grandson were wounded.

Picture 1. Adewale Ademoyega one of the coup plotters in page 115 of his book "Why we struck" made no mention of anybody asides from Akintola harmed in the attack by Nwobosi and his men.

Picture 2. Akintola's son said recently that nobody else was harmed either https://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/01/how-they-killed-my-father-akintola/

Have you not noticed how APC goons on dis forum have become more brazen in their defence of evil and truncating every sense of morality and legality at the feet of who wins? If they could actively oshiomole, Tinubu's bullion van incident, Lawal's grasscuttin, what exactly can you put beyond them again?

APC goons are very scary people jokes apart. No morality in their dictionary. They can do anything just to get power

Magu should have prepared for this immediately the AGF wrote a memo to the president indicting him of corrupt diversion of recovered loots. If I were him, I would have secretly investigated the AGF and come up with my own memo indicting him. Sadly, the arrest seems to have caught him unaware and I don’t think he will ever be allowed to resume back as EFCC chairman. He has no advantage to leverage on again.

Besides, telling me to respect the name, Jesus is absurd. I haven't told you anywhere that I'm Christian, have I?

So in summary your emotions were bruised by what you read somewhere so you came to throw some mosquito jabs at Igbos on this thread grin grin Any way na you sabi, enjoy the petty baggage. Just respect the Lord's name even if you are not a Christian

Lol.

Do you know there are Mexicans who bear the name Jesus?

Do you know that when the person refered to as Jesus Christ walked the earth, he didn't answer to Jesus, but Yeshua? By the way, Christ is not his surname in case you didn't know. It means the anointed one.

Do you know that the name Joshua in the Bible is the same as what we call Jesus today and that that name is as popular as Chinedu is popular with the Igbos, Ola with the Yorubas and Talatu with the Northerners?

There's no special attachment to that name, Jesus.

Leave the name and practice his teachings, maybe then you'll learn to hate the Yoruba people and muslims less.

You know who you were referring to. Honour Him dont use His name anyhow

Acting EFCC chairman, Ibrahim Magu refused to investigate the bullion vans allegations leveled against Tinubu. The bullion vans were sighted in Tinubu's residence on the eve of the 2019 presidential election.

He said Nigerians should write petition which was done by many activists but nothing was done. He rather preferred going after opposition politicians and Yahoo boys.

Now that Magu is being questioned and is on the verge of losing his job, can the APC National leader save him?

It is cabal vs cabal right now. I read this morning that Justice Ayo Salami, the judge whose favourable judgments put Aregbesola and other Tinubu boys in government is in charge of the screening Magu. Let us see which cabal will win. El-rufai side or tinubu clique?
