Action Power Devotional for Today: Pride 101. Pride always go before a fall. It's sad that Pride 101 is a course some people have paid to study all their lives.

Edom was an example. She took the full course. She embraced pride and God took notice.

Edom are descendants of Esau but she rejoiced when Babylon ran over Israel. She even took advantage of the situation. Edom betrayed and did evil to her brothers!

Then, the smell of her pride went up to God.

Obadiah 1:2-4
[2]Behold, I will make you small among the nations [Edom]; you shall be despised exceedingly. [Ezek. 35.]

[3]The pride of your heart has deceived you, you dweller in the refuges of the rock [Petra, Edom's capital], whose habitation is high, who says in his heart, Who can bring me down to the ground?

Then God's judgement on Edom:

[4]Though you mount on high as the eagle and though you set your nest among the stars, I will bring you down from there, says the Lord.

Action Power Devotional for Today: You can only see and hear God at a mountain He has commanded or appointed.

The provisions will only come when you are operating on a ground He has commanded.

Your manifestation will only be seen when you're involved in a mission He has commanded.

People who are operating on a mountain He has commanded don't use gimmicks, lies, deceit and trickery to get provisions.

After Jesus' resurrection, the eleven disciples went to a mountain in Galilee which Jesus had appointed for them. There, they saw Him and heard Him.

Matthew 28:16-18
[16]Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them.

[17]When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

[18]And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

In Genesis 22:2, God said the same thing to Abraham. See it below:

[2]Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”

God asked Abraham to go to "one of the mountains of which I shall tell you "

And look at what Abraham did:

[3]So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.

He went to the place God had told him.

Action Power for Today is: If Abraham had gone to a different mountain, he wouldn't have seen the provision of a lamb for the offering.

If the eleven disciples had gone to a different mountain, they wouldn't have seen and heard Jesus.

If you're a copycat and you're not on the ground or mission God has commanded, you should retrace your steps.

Action Power Devotional for Today: Obedience pays. These two stages in the life of Abraham shows why obedience pays. I am talking about the type of obedience you do at an individual level.

That is, God's instructions come to you and you take personal responsibility to obey Him despite contrary public opinions.

Let us look at those two stages in the life of the father of faith - Abraham.

Genesis 12:1,4
[1]Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.

[4]So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

He departed as the Lord had instructed him.

Now look at the dividends of these types of obedience:

Genesis 24:1
[1]Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things.

About 12 chapters and many years after he obeyed the instructions, God has blessed him in all things!

Action Power for Today: Don't listen to anything contrary to this: Obedience to God pays the highest dividends.

You can't get the best of God, even as a Christian, if you are not obeying specific instructions He gives you.

There is nothing like corporate obedience. Everyone must carry his or her cross and follow Jesus.

Ask God to help you.

Defeat is destined and scripturally designed to be turned into victory.

However, faith and trust in God is necessary for defeat and shame to fulfill their scriptural purpose of turning into victory and glory.

We have the case of Mordecai and the Jews as examples. A case where sackcloths and mourning turned into Royal apparel and joy unlimited.

Look at the story in the Bible:

Esther 4:1
[1]When Mordecai learned all that had happened, he tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the midst of the city. He cried out with a loud and bitter cry.

Then the Royal apparel and joy unlimited:

Esther 8:15
[15]So Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, with a great crown of gold and a garment of fine linen and purple; and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.

Action Power for Today is: Mordecai, Esther and the Jews waited on God. You must learn to wait on God if you want to see scriptural manifestation of shame turning into joy and defeat turning into victory.

Underneath the dry ground is the water of comfort. After the wilderness stage experience is the stage stage experience.

Action Power Devotional for Today: Sometimes, you won't see the treasure you have with you if you allow physical circumstances to block your eyes.

This was the case with Naomi. Look at what she said when she got to the land of Judah with Ruth, her daughter-in-law.

Ruth 1:21
[21]I went out full, and the Lord has brought me home again empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since the Lord has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?”

She said she came back empty! Really! Naomi, did you really come back empty?

You had a golden treasure with you in the person of Ruth. You had a treasure that can't be valued with you and you said you came back empty!

Naomi could not see the treasure in Ruth that God allowed to come back with her because she could not see into the spiritual. She allowed the physical happenings around her to blind her eyes.

Action Power for Today is: For you to see the treasure with you at any point, you will need to switch into the spiritual. When you face some physical circumstances that are not palatable you need to switch into the spiritual to see the treasure you have around.

The truth is that God is faithful. There will always be a golden treasure available for you to take you further into the purpose of God for your life. This is because the bible says all things work together for good to those who love God and to those who are called according to His perfect purpose.

Later, Naomi recognized this Ruth treasure that came with her when her people said Ruth was better to her than seven sons put together (Ruth 4:15).

that you won't see this treasure unless you switch into the spiritual. Don't allow physical circumstances to blind your eyes - there is a golden treasure available for you. Receive the power to see it in Jesus name.
