Hello Nairalanders,

Please I need your help in sorting out a transaction I did. On the 25th of April, 2022 I did a transfer to a first bank which didn't go as a result of bad network from the bank. Later that day, I tried the transaction a second time and it was now successful.

When it was time for me to go home, I did my balancing and discovered that I was having shortage. So I did a review of my days transaction and I discovered that the initial transaction later went. Meaning that the customer got credited twice.

I called my bank to confirm the transaction and I was told that both transaction were successful. I then called the customer who now claimed that he only got credited for once.

I told him to check his app, he replied that he doesn't use an android phone. I then told him to go to his bank to get his bank statement, his reply was that he doesn't have time to go to his bank.

Please guys, how do I solve this case? Is there a way I can go to first bank to get evidence that the money is in the customers ? And is it possible for me to get a police report in other to go to first bank to get evidence?

Kindly advice as your suggestions will go a long way in solving this case.

First thing u should have done is complain to your bank so they lien the amount and he doesn't have access to it..that way u are sure ur money is secured...pleading with the customer comes later..cos the bank need a written statement for reversal

If you graduate in theatre arts or any other unrelated course and you want to work at the bank, what course do you need to do in your postgraduate programme to qualify for a banking job, or are there any alternative training certifications needed to be able to apply for a bank job for those that need the job urgently.

I don't know the law here, and as I put it up earlier on this thread, in some jurisdictions, there are specific laws that protect minors from being prosecuted if two of them have sex willingly and are under the age of consent. (that applies to the US, and in some states, not all).

At the end of the day, however, I'm going to err on the side of caution (and yes, I mean err)..and assume that a ten year old cannot give consent, even if her partner is also ten. Lawyers in the house should be able to give a better view.

But the main koko here is the fact that the school failed in its duty of in loco parentis big time.

THE ARRIVAL 2

Weekend came like any other day, unlike any other day I was actually looking forward to it..Dad and mom had left for the airport few minutes ago as Lillian's flight would be touching down 3 hours from now.Getting accustomed to Lagos traffic they knew better to leave early..
I went about my day looking for a creative way to kill time,as if on cue i got a text from Alex asking me to come over to their flat cause he had something to show me...at the very least I was going to eat before heading over,so I decided to microwave my meal of spaghetti with fried plantain,only for Alex's call to come in asking me to hurry over...with the way he sounded excited over the phone I was inclined to think it will be worth my time,so I left my meal and headed for their flat ..on getting to their flat i met Mrs.Ajuwa in the living room, after exchanging pleasantries with her i made my way down to Alex's room hoping not to run into kelsy as I have been avoiding her and Lima for some time now.. getting there Alex hurriedly locked the door behind me ing somewhat of an evil grin on his face ..

THE ARRIVAL
I laid in my bed replaying the last few weeks in my head,searching for the safest route to take,but if history has taught us anything, it is that nothing is safe when it comes to the feminine specie and assumption is fatal..
Nothing can be more confusing for a man (in this case a teenage boy) than having feelings for two ladies..
On one hand I was certain I felt something deep and intimate for kelsy,on the other hand I really wanted to know how things would be with Lima..
So I was left with making a decision,a decision I was sure I won't be making, cause I planned on staying neutral and hoping things worked itself out...I eventually got tired of making out different scenarios in my head and decided to go downstairs for dinner..

Like any other evening around 8pm,the okafors were seated in the dining area for a family meal,and like every other family meal we've had,we talked about various things like school activities,mom's intention to start a business and of course dad's desire to go into politics in the nearest future,things were pretty routine until dad announcement of Lillian coming to stay with us...
Hmmmm Lillian , who would have thought I would get to see her again..Lillian happens to be my first crush and the first lady that told me I looked cute and instilled a bit of confidence in me,she was a family friend,her dad and the general were close friends until the decided to move to the UK about 6 years ago..
Dad announcement came with mixed reactions,for one I get to see how well of a woman she turned out to be but having to share my space with another woman in the house didn't totally agree with me...
Jessy asked if she was visiting and dad reaffirmed my believe that Lillian was here to stay for the foreseeable future...
It was my turn to chip in as I asked why she was coming to Nigeria without her parents (I mean who leaves the country for greener pastures then comes back without a valid reason )..
Dad didn't exactly answer my question as all he said was it was mutual arrangement between her parents and himself..ending it with she arrives this weekend....
