Oando Plc (NGX: OANDO) has released its Audited Consolidated and Separate Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2024, reporting a significant increase in revenue, to ₦4.09 trillion in 2024 from ₦2.85 trillion in 2023.

The gross profit nearly doubled, rising 83% to ₦155.9 billion from ₦85 billion in 2023 following a sharp increase in the cost of sales to ₦3.93 trillion.

Despite the improved gross profit, istrative expenses surged significantly to ₦610.9 billion in 2024 for the Group from ₦261.4 billion in 2023. This is nearly 4 times the gross profit.

The t issions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has banned Ejikeme Joy Mmesome from writing its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for three years over alleged forgery of her 2023 result.

The board also withdrew Mmesoma’s 2023 result which has stirred controversy. JAMB in a statement Tuesday morning insisted that Mmesoma forged the result, stating that it had stopped issuing Notification of Result slips after the 2021 UTME due to falsification of results.

Mmesoma had in viral video on Monday, said she is “traumatized” by the allegation against her, maintaining that she printed her results from JAMB portal.

In its statement on Tuesday, JAMB stated that “its system was neither tampered with nor compromised as the candidate simply falsified a copy of a result slip of a candidate named ‘Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle,’ who sat the UTME in 2021 and scored 138.”
