And finally, it's over for the petrol era,
IOC backing out at this crucial time will cause more harm.
May God give us the power to forge ahead.
Right now, Virtually all fabrication yards that build Oil and gas facilities are currently moribund.
When Shell, decided to put the HI project on hold for another year, my heart sank
These IOCs are backing out, yet they are running in droves to Angola, Guyana, Mozambique etc, despite our excellent crude oil grade and almost infinite gas deposits?
Let us continue to deceive ourselves.
We are yet to come to with the extensive damage this istration has caused the Upstream oil and gas sector, specifically with new field developments.
When people criticize Jonathan's istration, I simply laugh. After Obasanjo, That was the best period in the Nigerian Oil and gas industry, despite the non-g of the PIB at the time.
And Believe it or not Diezaini was instrumental to those glory days (yes, you can come for my head).
Within 5 years, we had Erha, Egina, Ofon, Bonga NW, and Agbami(to a lesser scale) Field development projects. That was why there was a lot of money in the system.
With Buhari's body odour coming on board, over 80BN USD was pulled out of the system. And what did he do? Wasted billions of dollars in looking for non-existent oil in the North. That was one of the reasons The Naira fell like the wall of Jericho (and is still falling). The corruption in this istration is the most unprecedented in the history of Nigeria
Oil is over $100, and we cannot even meet up with 1.2 million barrels of our almost 2 million barrels per day quota.
Brace up Nigerians, there is still more to come.

God bless you Sir, that's exactly my point. Lots of photos, links, videos of live projects done that I can share which are hand crafted n top notch but how many of our people here can afford to pay the . Yes those that will pay will do and they don't make noise n rant here all time.
We are ready to pay the abroad but can't here when we get down.
Someone said earlier that nairaland is bad for business, no not nairaland but some c*ckhead baby adult on the property section here makes it seem so once you don't align with their School of thought.
We must demand for the best as there is no excuse for any artisan to collect someone's hard earned money and throw it down the drain but it's wrong to conclude there are no credible and top notch service provider that can compete with foreigners if you have been dealing with the bad ones so far.
The individual should check him/herself to know what might be the factors getting him attracted to the wrong artisans.
I cum in peace

Mr. Man, would you just STFU?
A Swede once claimed, 50% of Nigerians would fail a mental capacity test to qualify as normal in the Western world.
STOP confusing Quality and
Under no circumstance should quality EVER be compromised or people be made to pay extra for quality delivery.
Quality should be the basic hallmark of every businesses and corporations while should be for those willing to pay more for extra functionality of the delivery.
The fact that Ferrari, Lamborghini or Mercedes are luxuries doesn't make Toyota or Honda anything short of quality.
Just imagine, you're here justifying stupidity yet, it's animals like you that blame 9ja Politicians for ineptitude while they're just a reflection of ur madness.
In Nigeria, the riff-raff, useless Artisans that failed the mastery of their crafts due to laziness and ignorance would require customers to pay extra for quality services.
Awon Oloriburuku!
Oduduwa707:
Stop attacking individuals demanding quality delivery for their hard-earned money.
Quality shouldn't be mistaken for !
Quality should be the basic hallmark of every single business and corporation!
You can demand extra for delivery but, NOT Quality delivery!

First of all. I want to thank God for his mercies. At UPTH, the doctor said I had no sperm count, from low sperm count. I have been married 3 years. I have taken a lot of drugs. My wife also had issues which made the matter complicated. Fast forward to January, I came for a training in india, I started taking some self prescribed meds. Addyzoa, sperman, testostorone booster, vit E 800IU.maca root, gingsing, and some other indian roots that i wasnt faithful to. last two weeks, I reluctantly walked to the hospital for full body check up and sperm count was 20million and motility 40% active, 10 % sluggish. I have taken these drugs for 3 months now. I am still on them till I come back, although on a reduced dose. I doubt the effectiveness of Nigeria drugs.
Trust God, Its God that works using medicines. A doctor here said its impossible to conceive with my count, I should opt for sperm donor.
Be patient. Its not in 2 weeks, fertility correction starts taking effect in 3 months up.
I trust God that He will meet all of us at the point of our needs, We are fruitful men in JESUS name. Amen.

Affordability bro. The prevailing dollar exchange rate is not smiling at all.
Cost at purchase is significantly lower than its Japanese counterparts
Cost of maintenance is not bad(maybe slightly higher than Japanese counterparts)
Increase in availability of spare parts (and fewer fakes) compared to its Japanese counterparts.

Hidden beam on floor slabs are just imaginary strength enhancement concept.
The use of hidden beam are not beneficial to the behavior of slab. The principle that deflection of solid slab obeys still remains constant. ( Depth)
The longer the slab span, the deeper the slab should be, some persons have wrongly adopted the 150mm (6’’ ) thickness. Well it’s not a one fix all thing.
It is also worthy of note that slabs are majorly designed for deflection rather than strength, and as such there’s a permissible value for it. His engineer should investigate that and advise him further.
To the OP
Cracking your slab and recasting will create a line of weakness in the crack zone, so therefore you need to be careful.
Possible solution
Your Engr might want to consider composite steel beam and then conceal with some creative Pop finishes
Smart solution.
Use beams with sufficient profile (depth) to provide adequate sectional modulus to resist the slab deflection.
Connection of beam to slab can be via bolting (using concrete drilling machine to drill through) at specific intervals (depending on slab length and as per analysis) and ed through top and bottom beam flanges or using plates washers
Beams should have adequate connections to the ground (via either existing adjacent beams that have closeby columns or even making them have their own columns, cast or steel)
Beam numbers and spacing should also be sufficient.

Funny how the camera seems to always shy away from the speedometer when they start drifting...
Any idiot can can keep a car straight at 240km/hr on a desert highway with dry wide lanes, little or no traffic, no road side gulleys to fall into, and sand embankments to mitigate any off-road skid
Besides, to drift in that manner, they will have to tap the brakes and keep the tyres on a swerve..swerving means more tyre friction with the road...and friction is an enemy of acceleration.which means the swerving is already slowing down the vehicle before braking is even applied..
They will also have to take their foot off the accelerator while braking for the drift...and cars decelerate very fast when brakes are applied at such high speeds..in fact it has been proven that the higher the speed at which a vehicle is moving, the more sensitive its braking system.... . especially when the braking applied is sufficient to put the vehicle into a drift.... before that car does 3 seconds in the drift, speed will likely be far below 100km/hr
Someone should post a drift with the speedometer clearly showing above 170 at the time of drift...then I can take these towelheads seriously
There were drifts of course...but definitely not at 180km/hr
Dude,
the driver was basically powersliding.
It is very difficult to drift a front heavy FWD car
HE needs to get to that speed for the effect to be more exhilarating and predictable.

sup bro ! any idea on the engines
My brother.... That car is a beautiful car no doubt. But its Achilles heel has always been its engines. The 2.4 GDI is bad(Jonathan). the 2.0 Turbo is a disaster(Buhari). In fact it is rare to see a 150,000 mile 2011 Hyundai sonata with its original engine.
The engines are not durable. I would advise you to save up some more and get a 2012 Toyota Camry of better still, a 2013 honda accord(my love)
