You cant clear yours separately.
If the delay persist then it might be best other owners of vehicles provide cash to clear the container and hold the unpaid for car in custody till he pays .
In future ship your vehicle Roro to avoid this delay.

Please is there a way of clearing a single vehicle from a container? My rav08 has been in Nigeria for two weeks, for some reason the owner of a certain vehicle has been delaying to make payment and the agent is insisting that the four cars inside the container must be cleared together. From what i have been told by this agent the terminal has been charging demurrage after 5 days and the shipping company will start charging demurrage from the 21st day.

To explain further, do we have to come to Canada the same time or can a secondary applicant relocate first. I want my wife to be the primary applicant as she can get us more points due to age, However, I will like to relocate first. Please i will need pointers.

Still no update from CSE, however i got this from their social media team to make payment for biometrics and the receipt through my online application or through the webform. I think that may be more practical

Yh, i already ed vfs, them seemed to be lost as well. Two options, i think i’ll withdraw the application and reapply or simply wait for them till they want to make a decision, maybe they’ll request for it then. The main challenge is that the fees for biometrics was not paid at the point of submission.

It is my first application, there was obviously an error in the system, because it was originally showing biometric collection fees when i started the application, but after july 31st when they rolled out the compulsory bometrics for all regions in middle east, africa and so on, the fees stopped showing. My friend that applied second week in august got the biometrics letter after 24 hours. I sent a CSE, all i have to do now is wait till they respond

I have same problem, i applied on the 3rd of Aug. still no biometrics collection letter. I think their wwbsite had a problem that period, because I wasn’t charged biometrics collection fee of $85 at the point of submitting online, thats the reason i feel the letter is not coming. Earlier in the thread I informed the house that my wife's application was refused citing authenticity of the marriage- no pictures etc which was due to VFS not accepting pictures with paper applications. I requested the GCMS notes and the first VO stated that the applicant qualifies for work permit. The last officer to check access the application refused citing the reason above. With the information from the GCMS notes i decided to reapply attaching as much pictures(someone suggested printing the pictures in an A4 paper) On the day of submission, the vfs officer refused to accept the pictures again until my wife caused a scene showing them a copy of the gcms notes where it clearly stated that the previous application was refused due to lack of evidence of the marriage. Eventually, they made her sign a waiver and accepted the pictures from her. To my utter dismay, exactly one month, the application was refused and this time the VO stated that she needed to show strong finances showing she will be able to take care of herself in Canada. Quite shocking. So i reapplied again, this time online and clearly stating and copying where the CIC website that states that for an open work permit, the spouse should present a valid work permit , with validity for at least 6 months- current letter of employment stating responsibilities and the job must be in Noc A O C and 3 recent pay slips. I carefully explained in my letter of explanation that i will be responsible for her upkeep and have attached my bank statement.

Applied online NOv 24, got an update yesterday requesting for port and on mycic it shows application approved. Note medicals havent been done which is quite a surprise but anyways thats the good news.

Congrats!! June applicants are still waiting for positive updates. I believe you have broken the jinx, at least there is hope that they are actually looking at sowp applications. I even sent inquiry and they simply responded that they have so many applications.

Hello Everyone, please for God sake I need help and advice on how to go about my application. I'm new on this thread and my situation is complicated.

I got married 2015 but before d marriage my husband and I applied for student visa which mine was granted and he was denied, he allowed me to travel a week after our wedding because lectures have started. We then decided again that he should reapply again in 2016 for student visa but he was denied again.

So, I came back to Nigeria September 2016 after my one year PGD program to be with my husband because there was already so much pressure from families that how can my husband allow me to travel a week after the wedding without me being pregnant. But before coming in September 2016 have already extended my study permit with the hope that I will conceive and return back in January 2017 to start my second program. Everything did not go as planned, I'm yet to conceive till this very moment and my vise expire December 2017.

In January 2017 we both applied for US visa for vacatuon but we were both denied and since then have suffered depression mainly because I couldn't conceive and family pressure.

Now, PLEASE kindly advise me on what to do. I don't want this opportunity to fade away.
1. Should I go back to Canada to extend my study permit despite d fact I did not use the visa on it and it will expire December 2017, and apply for SOWP for my husband?

2. Should I apply for post graduate work permit and SWOP for my husband now?

Well having read what you said., I'm very sorry about the pregnancy situation, just be patient and give it time. You and your husband should come to an agreement on what you want. If the ultimate goal is to come to Canada, den u need to sacrifice and be patient with the system. As for your questions, if funding is not a problem, get ed in a program and pay tuition then extend your study permit. While extending your study permit, give all relevant info that u r nw married . Because to get post graduate work permit you do need to apply within 60 days of receiving your degree, don't shoot yourself in the foot by getting denied for pgwp. Your husband just has to b patient, if it doesn't get approved you can try again. Key thing for you to do is get a permanent status in Canada and eventually it will be fine

I felt this information will be vital for those planning to apply.

Got the info from a reliable source that cic gives open work permit for 5yrs if your port duration is up to 5yrs, but could not share the info here cos I was not sure, until I applied for my open work permit renewal 3wks ago, and my application was approved this morning with 5yrs validity, expires same day as my Int'l port.

If you are yet to apply, kindly renew your port before applying, so the validity can be to the end of your port, and the advantage is when your spouse finishes his/her studies, and apply for post graduate work permit (post graduate work permit will be given to her, and visitor's visa inside Canada will be given to you) you can still be working with your permit, until he or she get a job in NOC 0,A or B, and you can apply for a new open work permit, if you guys have not gotten PR already.

Also, for those already approved, and are in Canada or about coming, on your correspondence letter, cic said you should get a private health insurance, you dont have to buy a private health insurance, as you can get a health card if you are in Ontario or will be coming to Ontario from Service Ontario by getting a letter from your employer with the details below; and take the letter to Service Ontario,
-that the employee is working full time
-the Title/Occupation of the position
-that the employee will be working for the company within Ontario
-the start date of the employment
-that the employer intends to employ the employee for a minimum of 6months.

I wish everyone still waiting for cic approval and those planning to apply all the best.

You guys should be patient with cic, i really understand what it takes to be apart with your spouse.

Sorry about your delay. But there is no set of document ation that guarantees approval. Kindly take your time to get as much documention as needed that suits ur profile. Read thru the thread from pg 1.
If u are coming for sowp. Ur study permit or work permit of your spouse needs to have a long validity,
Enough funds to show u and your spouse can meet any financial commitment ( tuition , rent, health insurance etc) your marriage documentation and a well drafted letter detailing why you can't be away from your spouse and a well detailed plan on how you both intend to go back to Nigeria. These are generic but u can add more things dat suits your profile. Also what were the reason stated for refusal ( thats a good way to start reapplying).
