I'm just learning more about it here. I've Always believed it's generally bad. I think it's used more in the north.

honsule: Personally, 5,000miles/6months is a little too early. This is an oil that could go 1yr to 10,000 miles. So, pushing it to 7,000 miles or 7-8 months should do. I do 7,000 miles or 8 months on my car with Kirkland 5w-30 Oil |

honda001: Full synthetic offers superior llubrication and temperature stability. So, even the semi-synthetic when new and unused, cannot be compared to the full synthetic. That means changing it after every 500 miles doesn't count. |

Rexology: Sounds like your head gasket is gone, for oil to appear in the radiator. If the rebuilder knows his onions and uses OEM parts, you're good to go. 1 Like |

Mobil Super 2000 is a semi-synthetic oil, and not a full synthetic oil, as recommended for your car. It's better you go for the full grade synthetic oil, which is Mobil1. Mind you, be careful with where you source your oil. Our naija markets is full of adulterated engine oil, Mobil1 is one of them. |

BlindAngel: From your , if no other code shows up on OBD scan and your tyres are within spec, I'll advise you revert to using thermostat in your engine because this would allow your engine to reach it's optimum temperature on time (and maintain the temperature as well). But this might cost you alot if the engine has been on direct fan for a long time. Hence, i would advise you continue with the direct fan. Moreso, i forgot to add that your recommended oil is synthetic 5w30 and not 20w50 or the likes. This has a lot of role to play too. |

BlindAngel: 1. Does the engine still have it's thermostat in it? 2. What tyre size is on the wheel? 3. Have you done and OBD scan on the car? |

lumens: You do not necessarily have to order it. There are car stands that sell Tokunbo cars, although many import accidented cars, then give them cosmetics to make them appealing to buyers (nothing wrong with that, if the car didn't suffer major impact though). This enables them to make reasonable profits, while their price isn't exorbitant. Like someone noted, you MUST run the VIN of whatever car you settle with, this would enable you know the state of the car and its history before it came into the country. So you don't end up buying flooded or salvage cars. Run away from any car with rusts on its body frame and underneath. 3 Likes |

Being a first time car owner, moreso, a female... I'll advise you go for a foreign used, for her peace of mind. You can definitely get a reliable Naija used though but it'll be expensive than the average ones you'll see around, considering it's been well maintained and in pristine condition. Overall, pls go a foreign used. It'll reduce the time it'll take you to scout around. And go with someone that knows how and what to check out in cars. DO NO TRUST WHAT COMES OUT OF THE MOUTH OF THE DEALER, believe what you see and obd scan results. All the best! 1 Like |

There are some prominent old that are like family here on nairaland. Their contributions to this platform cannot be over emphasizd. When anything happens to them, especially when we lost someone like Gazzuz, there should be an official information/concern from you Seun. You know well how this place was during the time of MrCock, Rokiatu, etc There are so many instances i can talk about, if you need more. In all sincerity, nairaland has lost it's core values. It's now a place where folks come to rant whatever drops on their heads. 1 Like 1 Share |

Seun: Sincerely, this isn't the first time you'll ask questions about ideas to improve nairaland and eventually, nothing would be done. The most recent one is being strict on cyber bullying and tribalism, at the end nothing is being done till date. There was a time there are nairaland competitions and some prizes were being given and we used to have excellent s that push relevant, inspirational, educational topics to FrontPage, unlike nowadays. Overall, we need good moderation on topics and ' post. And a dislike button is necessary. Thank you. 1 Like |

This is a sad sad news... I once bought a top cylinder from him and as expected, he got me the best. There was a time i needed part of a power steering pump and he gave me a complete one for free. That was my first and only time of seeing him in person. May God rest his soul, comfort the family and friends. Rest on brother! 3 Likes |

Roigran: Are you trying to scan from the same phone? Or you transferred the QR Code to a different device and scan? I use Airtel e-sim and no issues though. |

If only okada riders can drive safely and obey traffic rules, it wouldn't have gotten to this. But they are menace everywhere you see them. They just want to keep moving.

ksmart027:Exactly. Nigerians easily get swayed when they see a driver speeding aimlessly, without obeying or understanding even the basic traffic rules. It's pathetic! 2 Likes |

I don't think i can be star struck by any celebrity. If he/she is someone i like, yes i can be happy for such opportunity and wear a smile on my face, that's all. The very few ones i can probably greet are Tubaba, Banky W, Davido and more of the older generations. But then i still fit see them and still no send because of all the ones I've seen, I've never felt the urge to act gaga around them. |

The domain was ed on the 6th of January, 2024 so there's no way they started 2017. It's a Ponzi Scheme, DO NOT FALL FOR THEM!!! 2 Likes |
