It's not really a big deal. It's just normal trade by someone who wants to protect himself from losing.

Sola dumped to $95 and you don't know if it'll go lower, but you don't want to be left out. In such a case, you'll buy Solana spot with some money at $95 and still enter a 1x short of same amount.

If Solana keeps dumping, your short will recover the loss of your spot.

If it pumps, your short will be at minor loss, but you'll be paid funding fee by long traders every 8 hours while still making money from the spot you bought at $95.

This method is more of Mr. Careful strategy. His method is centered on long term and taking those compounded funding fees to enter other trades since his normal short has low liquidation risk.

I don't know how to put it, but let's just call it hedging with profit.

Finally, Solana went to $700 and he sold the spot he got at $95 and waiting for Solana to dump back to $95 to recover his short + while the fees he accumulated is also generating money on other short trades he entered when Solana was at $700.

It has never failed me. I learned it the hard way years ago.

When I see the newcomers or even desperate old timers jumping around from one coin to another as I used to do back then, I smile.

This 10% per day dump or dump I practice before take a sensible action is 600% times better than jumping around.

Before I buy, BTC must do at least 10% dump in a day. Before I sell, it must do at least 10% pump in a day. Though, I take tiny actions from 7% (more of trap or temptation).

BTC is my best indicator and the ONLY coin I do TA on.

So, at 7%, I entered a tiny short on BTC, but I'm waiting for 10% or even 15% pump in a day.

Also, the best time to sell is whenever you hear 3-7B Dollars shorts have been liquidated and impatient people are crying. It must be in billions, not just 500M Dollar shorts.

Also, entry is cool after 10% or more dump and a 3-7 or more billion Dollar long liquidation.

If you prepare yourself for only these kinds of day while taking note of the time and season we're in, you'll be the happiest person in crypto. Sadly, this method requires patience.

More over, no one knows tomorrow when it comes to crypto. At the beginning of this post, I saw people saying XRP will never go up, now XRP is worth over 4k in naira as against 100 naira back then, so imagine you'd bought 50k worth back then. Same with BTC, eth, bnb etc. litecoin is the only altcoin that has refused to grow.

Unfortunately, crypto has become even more hard to predict because of the influx of a lot of coins flooding the market by the day. Useless coins for that matter.

I'll also like to say, polygon and base are one crypto that I feel are likely going to follow the path of XRP.

In conclusion, alt coins will always rise, but don't be quick to sell when you see the dip except you're in for the short term.
