This Morning, the 15th day of November 2024, I was cleaning my house when a woman knocked. She ask if she can come in or we talk outside, I asked her to come inside.

She introduced herself as a neighbor in the neighborhood, I don’t really know her. She said her child is a sickle cell patient and he is itted at the hospital , she said test shows the child lacks blood and she don’t have any money to buy blood And her husband works in Lagos. Went further to say the husband said he will be able to raise money in the evening and what the hospital is requesting is 40k and she asked me to loan her 40k. Out of comion, I went to nearby pos agent, withdrew 10k gave her and told her not to worry about paying back. I took her number so that I can check up on her, although my spirit was suspicious but the soft heart in me won’t listen. Long story short I decided to clear my curiosity called her I was coming to the hospital, she said ok, got there she said she just went to a nearby town to get something’s from her husband’s brother😂and the background shows she is at home . Then I realized I was scammed. I wasn’t pained but disappointed, how do I help a person who genuinely needs help next time. Let us be observant out there.
