Any sensible person reading this will wonder how they came to conclude ipob is behind this. Or even that he actually sneaked out. He's dead, so he can't tell what happened. IPOB shot and killed a soldier and didn't take his gun. Okay.

Is that the "real" ES you were talking about? My mistake then. If you were the gearhead I thought you were, pure ICE would've been what you mean by "real" ES. I'm the person who made this post, and I commented that it is hybrid. I also commented that it comes as hybrid and all-electric.

How you say what you don't know with arrogance is really funny. There will be es350h which will be a 2.5liter hybrid vehicle. Counter me with fact

It comes with both hybrid and all-electric variants. No pure ICE, though.
SeeWahala:
Sure? I will wait till it's out to be sure if I were you. Those ventless front bumpers can not accommodate the requirements for cooling a robust ICE machine.
On regular ICE vehicles, the location of that grille vent is adequate only for cooling it's transmission/gearbox cooler radiator

Very funny. Even the GM cars aren't built from top to bottom in the United States. You've heard about the trade war going on right now, right? Trump's tariff on North America and Mexico, slamming 25% tariff on auto imports from Canada and Mexico, why? Is that because the US import cars from Canada? No. It's because the so-called "American-made" cars actually traverse the US/Canada and US/Mexico borders several times before the model becomes finished products. Do you know that more than half of FCA US (Stellantis), Ford, and General Motors models contain approximately 55% domestic content? The rest of the parts are sourced from overseas, including Canada and Mexico. A Tesla Model 3 is only 45% USA+Canada content and 25% Mexico. A Toyota Camry is 55% USA+Canada and 30% Japan. I'm bringing up these details because you emphasized Nigerian manufacturers outsourcing to foreign companies, which supposedly makes us unworthy. You then went on to say "some of us" don't have "profound insight into manufacturing plants in the country." And you do? Have you heard about Bennie Automobile? The Bennie Strenum sports car isn't merely assembled here. The guy designed, molded, and fabricated the car here. He studied Mechanical Engineering at the UK's University of Hertfordshire. My point, from the start, is that local talents must be relied on, trusted, tasked, and empowered for us to achieve self sustenance. You'd rather give the money to foreign companies? For how long? When will it end? Task Bennie with building a high-security vehicle for diplomats and let's see if he says "we can't do it." He'll ask for time and go to work. That's how a nation grows and stops being so danm reliant on outsiders and pseudo-colonists. And "some of you" boast of loving Nigeria.
JagabanBorgu:
Do you really know anything about manufacturing in Nigeria?
Nigeria is a country where local companies bring foreigners to spearhead productions such as production of vegetable oil.
I would rather import the product than give it to a local company that will end up paying foreigners to do it.
It's that simple, most of u arguing have no profound insight into manufacturing plants in the country.

I think you've brought grossly underestimated us. We may not have a conglomerate as big as GM, but I'm pretty sure we can build cars fit for a president.
JagabanBorgu:
Local companies don't have the capacity to build a presidential vehicle for Nigeria, unless you are saying we have a manufacturer that's as astute as General Motors.

Americans don't import their "specifications" and "tailor-made." I'm sure we can do the same. Unless you're saying local companies in Nigeria can't build VIP-speced models? Is that what you're saying? ing homegrown manufacturing is why GM now has an arm called GM Defense. They just recently supplied Qatari government with the American made Suburban Shield armored SUV.

You deserve a cold beer. Trump has no class. Zero class. Not even Putin would behave this way. Why treat the man like this in front of the camera? They invited Zelensky to the White House to intimidate him into g away his country to America. Is it just balls or is Trump roundly deluded? How did Ukraine become the villain in this story? What I didn't get is why the entire Europe can't sustain Ukraine without America? I don't get it?
royalfly:
Why? The Ukraine president is a president, I wonder how the true Ukrainians feel now seeing thier head talked to like this. Can Russian president be talked to like this by Vance, what ever you do in this life, depend on God and yourself, this really hurts, trump is trying to stop a 3rd world war, its there something that is not being said about thus issue. Great America is defending Russia for what exactly, trump and his folks just made it look like they are scared of Russia or they are Russian friends. In my layman opinion zelensky has shown strength and resilience. History will this. I pray trump reconsider this issue because most countries will loose trust for America after this. I am for peace but not on this oppressive . Is diplomacy about the truth or manipulation.

Fine. I indulged you and rephrased the prompt. I got this answer:
Counterfeit food, drinks, and drugs are a widespread problem in Nigeria, and no single tribe can be definitively labeled as the most notorious. However, if we look at historical trends and law enforcement crackdowns, certain areas and business networks have been linked to the production and distribution of fake goods.
The Igbo tribe, known for their strong entrepreneurial spirit and dominance in trade, has often been associated with counterfeit products, including fake drugs and substandard goods. Cities like Onitsha and Abaāmajor commercial hubs in the Southeastāhave been flagged multiple times by NAFDAC and other agencies for housing illegal factories producing fake pharmaceuticals, beverages, and food products. That said, this is more about business practices in unregulated environments rather than a cultural trait of the Igbo people themselves. At the same time, counterfeit trade is not limited to the Southeast. Lagos (predominantly Yoruba), Kano (Hausa-Fulani), and other commercial centers also have significant markets for fake goods. The demand for cheap alternatives, weak regulatory enforcement, and corruption all contribute to the problem.
So, while the Igbo-dominated commercial hubs have been frequently implicated, it's not about ethnicityāit's about opportunistic business practices in poorly regulated markets. The real issue is systemic, not tribal.

Indeed Past. Eze has a strange and overwhelming rise in the Ministry of Christ especially in Africa.
There's probably a man or woman who was called to do this, but that person was not paying attention. Or the person was more interested in other things. And the person got ed by. God sends the one who is available and willing to go. He may not even had imagined by his wildest imagination that this would be happening today. But God can use anything for greatness, even "ordinary" prayer we've all heard a million times before.

Pastor Kumuyiās wife, Esther is a selfless and perfect partner and friend! She married Kumuyi 14 yrs ago at the age of 65. She was never married before then and doesnāt have kids of her own.
She is 79yrs old now and still standing strong beside her husband(83).She follows him everywhere doing crusades and winning souls for Christ together! She doesnāt bother about having biological kids through IVF
How do you know this? You're not in her head. I understand the iration and a woman of virtue is worthy of praise, but you can't really know what's going on in her head.
but rather concentrated on having millions of spiritual kids who would be found worthy of making heaven!
I salute you mummy Esther. You are a true general and defender of the faith! Your selflessness and commitment to the ministry of your partner is exemplary. I would suggest you take more time to mentor and build more women especially the younger generation(gen-Zās) who desperately need quality Christian mother figures like you!
It is indeed very rare to see a tall, beautiful, well educated, UK based Christian Nigerian woman to keep herself untouched till 65yrs of age.
The truth is, some times, it's lack of opportunity that keeps someone a virgin for that long. But then again, I don't know. I'm not her and I'm not God. Only God and her knows what really happened.
Thank you for submitting yourself completely to God and helping your hubby to fulfill his ministerial duties! God bless you.
I think pastor Kumuyi deserve more iration in this context. He's the man who lost his wife in an advanced age and chose to remarry to a woman around his age gap, a woman who's never been married. A woman from her own church. That's practicing what you preach and it shows his dedication to the word of God. He could've easily remarried to a much younger damsel who will rush to marry him for obvious reasons. Instead he chose to marry a 60+ years old Christian woman who has never experienced marriage in her life and may never experience it if the pastor hadn't married her. Now they can grow old together in the service of God. I bet pastor Kumuyi already noticed that woman's dedication to God before asking for her hand in marriage.

Sounds like you have a good car maintenance culture. I laughed about the crude oil part, though. Nawa for people o.
Dtruthspeaker:
I do not say that they are stupid for stating it but what I said was that I read the arguments for and against and the analysis in between them. And I learnt a lot and I carried out my decision on it.
Which is why I am happy to report my findings and to point out that those who said that if we do not follow the manufacturer's specifications, our engines would get damaged are wrong.
I have used different types of oils which my oil and parts seller and mechanics says is ok as they have used them in other vehicles and my vehicles are 12years now and they are still working perfectly and always ready for travel.
And the key from that argument is service when due for obviously Nigerians only change oils when they want to travel, which means that the oil can be there for a year or 2. I once bought a Nigerian used car for my brother in law and the engine oil we drain was crude oil. The engine hole was brown black and even after we flushed the engine and put fresh oil, the fresh oil immediately became brown like oil that has already run 3months. So why would there not be problems with the engine?
For me, once my oils change from gold to brown I am already buying down its replacement and I even keep a book to remind me of when my last oil change took place, so that I would not be deceived by the fact that my engine sounds fine and has not yet given me problems.

Hmm. I disagree. If the cap recommendations don't matter, why do automakers do it?
Dtruthspeaker:
Let me spoil the thread.
After I read all the arguments here ing cap recommendations and I decided to ditch the cap recommend, I am happy to report that my 04 CRV
https://nairaland.macsoftware.info/5614792/drove-home-discharged-engine-oil#85518848
is now 12yrs old and 8 yrs back when it rejected Quaker 5w30 after I had used Mobil xhp when I was waiting for my Quaker to arrive, I have used many different oils and everytime mechanics always complain that my engine is still new ooo. See as e dey steam.
So, I dare to say that the cap recommendations does not matter provided you change your oils at the appropriate times.
