I would advice you go for the lecturing job

There's high chances of salary increment in universities
Also if you know your onions there's also high chances of you becoming a senior lecturer within time

Also you have more time as a lecturer to start up a business to your self and family

You get to meet a lot of influential people since its a private university
If you behave like the "Nigerian Lecturer" You'll make it big time if you know what I mean grin

Secondary school job isn't secured at all as you can easily be replaced at any slightest issue, But its all about fulfillment. If you feel fulfilled there you can as well stay back
and he has said it all.

Kwara APC gubernatorial candidate, Abdulrasaq in early mess

The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Abdulraham Abdulrasaq appears to be playing his usual card to whittle down every effort at wrestling power from Saraki dynasty in the state.

A check by this medium on Thursday indicated that instead of the APC gubernatorial candidate to return to Ilorin after the widely publicized truce brokered by President Buhari in Abuja early this week, Abdulraham is busy changing names of legislative candidates in Abuja.

Abdulraham according to sources insisted that, Ismail Tijani that won convincingly during the primaries be dropped for a candidate that came distant fifth during the primaries. The preferred candidate is one Gbenga Tower, who actually didn't belong neither in the old APC nor the newly ed PDP stock.

Mr. Gbenga Towers has always dropped Mr. Rotimi Ameachi name as his backer. The same influence he has used to win some projects in the state ministry of sports in the last couple of years when the latter introduced him to Dr. Bukola Saraki.

Our source alleged that Mr. Gbenga Towers is one of the Saraki's hands in Kwara APC.

However, this medium could not ascertain what Alhaji Abdulrasaq stands to gain in changing candidates after he emerged under a rather controversial and acrimonious circumstances.

Our investigations revealed that, Abdulrasaq is interested in changing more than two already decided house of assembly in Kwara Central and two federal house of representatives in Kwara South respectively.

Our source: He is bent on having his way in Ilorin West and South local government areas. He wants the winner of the Offa/Oyun/Ifelodun constituency removed from Erinle in Oyun LGA to Ifelodun. While Gbenle Adeyemi will suffer in Oke-Ero/Isin/Ekiti/Irepodun because the man is from a less populated area.

While our source alleged that, Abdulrasaq is working to extend Dr. Saraki's hold on the state as a business partner by promoting weaker candidates in critical areas, we tried to get his views on those weighty allegations but calls to his phones were unanswered. He never returned them too.

Political pundits posited that, the APC gubernatorial candidate and his party may not travel in the electioneering process as his candidate is bent in causing more crisis within the fragile and nascent assembly.

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated her that were recently appointed as of the organising committee of the national convention which is slated to hold on June 23rd, 2018.

In a statement in Osogbo on Wednesday, the Publicity Secretary of the party, Kayode Oyin-Zubair described the development as a reward for loyalty, steadfastness and respect for party supremacy.

Those appointed are Alhaji Abdulganiyu Cook Olododo, member elections committee; Alhaji Raheem Tunji Olawuyi, member security committee and Hon. Ayoola Obisesan, member venue committee.

Oyin-Zubair urged the appointees to bring to bear the industry and dedication to work that Kwara people are known for.

"Our that were appointed to the convention committee should know that loyalty to the party and respect for party supremacy is what has earned them that opportunity without stress.

"It is therefore, an opportunity for them to tell the world that an average Kwaran is dedicated to duty, truthful and able.

"This is a pointer to the fact that the journey may be rough, we will surely get to the desired destination. We must remind ourselves that our sacrifice to entrench internal democracy and respect for party supremacy in the state is beginning to yield results.

"We must remind our teeming and irers that, they should never be swayed by the raging noise- we are very close to the promised land. It is heartwarming and reassuring that Kwarans will eventually appreciate our efforts in restoring dignity and pride to the good people of the state.

Oyin-Zubair, thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and other leaders of the party who are set to right all wrongs of the past and march the party and country on the path of justice and fairness.

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) note with iration and commendation the declaration of June 12 by President Muhammadu Buhari as the real democracy day deserving not only recognition but a public holiday.

We are indeed appreciative of the hostric move by the people's president who has always shown that he is holding in trust the mandate of the people.

Nigerians have always trusted President Buhari knowing fully well that he has everything to reposition the country and restore her lost glory.

It is heartwarming that he has laid to final rest the agitation of many years for the acclaimed winner of the June 12, 2003 presidential election, Chief MKO Abiola to be recognized and declared accordingly. The conferment of the highest honor (GFCR) on the acclaimed winner of June 12 presidential election is a watershed.

The recognition of our past heroes as announced by the president on June 6th, 2018 was made complete with another posthumous honor accorded late Chief Gani Fawehinmi SAN.

For us in Kwara State, we are solidly behind President Muhammadu Buhari and his lofty plans to take the country out of the woods.

However, we will advise the president to consider the threat from the National Assembly as the barking of the lost dogs in the wilderness. We have cautioned them times without a number but it is evident they are on a voyage to return the country to dark days.

Nigerians know that their rantings amounted to nothing, because they have shown they are anti-people and self-centered.

It is an open secret that the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki who is the chairman of the National Assembly has consistently demonstrated his penchant for abuse of office. How was the former chairman of Ekiti local government area of Kwara State, Hon. Dele Abiodun removed from office? After Dele Abiodun won all legal battles up to Supreme Court level, Saraki again failed to obey the judgement. There are many instances to be cited, we leave it at that for now.

We can only pray for good health and strength for the president to steer the ship of Nigeria to a safe end.

*Kwara invites scribe of APC factions as congress wasdisrupted in Tsaragi and other places

The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command has invited scribes of the two factions in the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for a meeting in his office this evening.

Those expected are Alhaji Abdulganiyu Saka and Chief Bode Adekanye.

According to reports the Police high command in the state has decided to wade into the crisis rocking the party at ensuring that peace enjoyed by the residents is not disrupted.

In a short SMS sent to news men, a factional chairman, Hon. Olayemi Olabanji said his faction of the party is interested in peace but will never be reduced to harmonization in a process that shut party loyalists out.

"The minimum we can take is for this congress to be cancelled. We are peace loving people but will be never be tricked to any submission that will endorse the charade that went on everywhere today.

*APC faction insists on voting in Oko-Erin ward as parallel congresses held in Ibagun
*

As at 2:30pm this day we gathered that voting has not taken place in Oko-Erin ward of Ilorin West local government area of the state.

Our reporters gathered that a faction loyal to the senate president, Senator Bukola Saraki was deploying all tricks to allow for adoption of its prepared list of executive .

The other faction led by Hon. Ayooola Obisesan insisted that that democratic process that allows for voting must be religiously favored.

As early as 10am, two lists have emerged in Ibagun ward of Ilorin East local government area; where a faction loyal to former Chief of Staff to Dr. Saraki, Alhaji Saka Cook Olododo had a list and that of Dr. Bukola Saraki produced another one. Voting therefore was held in more than one place in Ibagun ward of Ilorin West.

And until few minutes ago, when this report was filed voting were still ongoing at Baboko ward.

The crisis in Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) deepens on Friday night with a faction of the party describing the process leading to the ward congress as fraudulent.

In a statement issued on Friday in Ilorin by the factional chairman, Hon. Olayemi Olabanji, said the process is too tainted with fraud and can't lead anywhere.

"Why has Balogun Fulani-led executive that have been given special recognition by national secretariat issued two statements in less than three hours.

"Party were at the secretariat on Thursday with money ready to purchase nomination forms and they were stuntly denied their right as loyal of the party.

"We searched everywhere and eventually got the guidelines, where we saw that what is done in Kwara State chapter of the APC is totally different from what are spelt out in the congress guidelines.

"There is no where in the congress guidelines where the power to blow hot and cold at the same time was given the Balogun Fulani executive. In one breath it issued a statement putting stop to sales of nomination form at 12:30pm and in few hours later it said it has been extended to the midnight. What an unfortunate situation we have found ourselves as a people!

"We therefore request that the ward congress in Kwara State be cancelled as the process is not only enmeshed in fraud but midwifed by a procured congress chairman, in person of Senator Mohammed Ohiare." It concluded.

Press Statement:

Kwara APC faction rejects Senator Ohiare as congress chair, decries disenfranchisement of

A faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kwara State chapter has kicked against the choice of Senator Mohammed Ohiare as the congress chairman for the party in the state over allegations of bias.

In a statement issued after an ordinary meeting of the stakeholders of the party on Thursday by the factional chairman, Hon. Olayemi Olabanji in Ilorin, the meeting diagnosed a number of issues bordering on the status of the party and congresses.

"We were able to pull together former national assembly , former state executive cabinet , gubernatorial aspirants and relevant stakeholders of the party on Thursday, where we discussed on wide range of issues that can return the party to the path of honour and sustain its acceptability by all and sundry in Kwara State.

"Chief among our observations is the appointment of Senator Mohammed Ohiare as the Chairman of the Congress Committee to supervise the exercise in Kwara State where he tends toward a side.

"Senator Ohiare is a known political ally of Senator Bukola Saraki who has always flaunted his preference and allegiance to Senator Saraki over time. We can conveniently say that Senator Saraki whose ally will supervise the congresses in Kwara State is a just a leader of a faction of the party.

"The outgoing national executive of the party which we have always communicated on the unhealthy state of the party in Kwara State appears not to be bothered when it pushed someone like Senator Mohammed Ohiare to Kwara State again.

"We had earlier rejected the inclusion of Mr. Kawu Baraje on the convention committee when we knew as a member of a faction in Kwara State will never be fair in his submission at that level. We therefore reject Senator Ohiare and other of his committee and we request for immediate replacement of those earlier chosen."

The enlarged stakeholders forum according to the former national assembly member decried the undemocratic posture of the national secretariat of the party when it handed nomination forms to a faction of the party.

"We are deeply touched by the display of lack of internal democracy and respect for democratic tenets by the Balogun Fulani led executive that prevented majority of party from obtaining nomination forms.

"Majority of party willing to contest for one office or the other were deliberately denied when they met two officials at the secretariat. Those officers who turned them back are Chief Bode Adekanye and Mr. Tunji Buhari.

"As we have always maintained that you can't build something on nothing; this congress can't stand and we call for it total cancellation in Kwara State." He said.

APC Convention: Inclusion of Kawu Baraje on the convention committee is a recipe for disaster

The Caucus for Progressive Change within the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said the inclusion of Mr. Kawu Baraje, a former factional chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) on the APC convention committee will rather lead the 'party to the slaughter slab'.

In a statement issued in Okuta, Baruteen local government area of Kwara State on Monday by the chairman of the caucus, Alhaji Abdullahi Samari expressed the dissatisfaction of the vast majority of party loyalists in the state to development.

"The leadership of APC is on the verge of getting it wrong again. The inclusion of Mr. Kawu Baraje serves no progressive move but that of those individuals that are bent on destroying APC and already looking elsewhere for asylum.

"History is not a friend of anyone but the true reflection of our antecedents. We must consistently remind ourselves that Mr. Kawu Baraje was the willing horse that truncated PDP convention in 2014, before emerging as a factional chairman. The feat he has been saddled to orchestrate this time around. We can conveniently say that, a leopard will never change its skin."

The statement accused Mr. Baraje as a disloyal member of the party whose allegiance is not to the party and its government but to a personality.

"These instances would suffice that, Mr. Baraje has publicly denigrated the party and its government in the past.

"In September 2017 at a well attended ceremony organised by the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) in Ilorin, Mr. Baraje took time out to turn tide against the APC and its government when he said among other things that, the economic crisis experienced, lack of jobs and poor leadership of the day should be forgiven because his leader, Dr. Bukola Saraki would find a way out of the debacle. The audio really went viral.

"It is fashionable in Kwara State today to find one lackey or the other of the senate president lashing out at President Muhammadu Buhari or the APC. The speaker of Kwara State House of Assembly, Dr. Ahmad Ali stole the show last week at a media parley to lampoon President Buhari because his godfather is currently in court over corruption charges bordering on false declaration of assets. The way to curry the favour of Mr. Senate President amongst his followers here is on how best you can abuse either President Buhari or the APC. Would any member seeking a better future for the party indulge in the despicable acts?" Samari queried.

The caucus further stated it is time for the National Chairman of APC, Chief Odigie-Oyegun to prove to the world that "he has no vested interest in Kwara State chapter of the APC as we have always had it that he is working for the interest of the senate president alone".

"We are aware that Chief Oyegun had always tilted to the side of the senate president and Balogun-Fulani led executive. Events that led to the emergence of Dr. Bukola Saraki as the senate president and information released by the national chairman to North Central caucus of the party sabotaging party's general interest showed where the national chairman stood all along.

"However, we are aware that the inordinate interest of the senate president in this convention committee will be served through Baraje who sees nothing bad in the death of the party.

"We are taken aback that in a state where there are factions within the party why would the leadership of a party interested in peace and progress tilt to a side? This is not the senate chamber where the Senate President must take first.

"It will be safe to believe the rumour making the rounds that Mr. Ishola Balogun Fulani recently boasted that the convention guidelines is in his possession even before the committee was constituted.

"We heard also that the current executive of the party in Kwara State are upbeat that they will remain in office till eternity because that is the promise from the senate president. Are the outcomes of the convention not premeditated and would it be far from tenure elongation?".

The caucus therefore appealed to the leadership of APC and President Muhammadu Buhari to remove Mr. Kawu Baraje from that list and replace him a neutral and loyal member of the party immediately.

Fresh facts emerged on Thursday that the matter is no longer if, it is a matter of when the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and his followers will dump the All Progressives Congress (APC) for another political party.

According to an impeccable source in Ilorin, some leaders in Saraki's camp chastised some youths at a meeting held at a location in Ilorin West on Thursday for going too far in the APC programmes aimed at the returning the party back to power in 2019.

The source continued that one of the leaders was miffed that why would any Saraki follower be doing anything to sustain APC in Kwara State when the leader was yet to provide a direction.

Another source at the Mandate Office, the campaign office of Dr. Saraki confirmed that arrangements are concluded for the early move of the Saraki political family out of the APC. He was however, upbeat that the decision would be in the best interest of the senate president and his political family.

It would be recalled that none of the newly commissioned ward offices of the senate president in the 52 wards of Kwara Central senatorial district has APC flags hoisted in its frontage but an observable green colour was noticed in some wards which is close to the colour of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Meanwhile, we sought to have an interview with the spokesman of the APC in Kwara State but his phones rang severally without an answer.

On his part the Chairman of the Caucus for Progressive Change, a group within Kwara State chapter of the APC, Alhaji Samari Abdullahi confirmed the development and promised to address the press on the subject matter soon.

Kwara APC group applauds President Buhari for upholding the rule of law

The Caucus for Progressive Change, a group within the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari's position on the tenure of the current executive of the party.

In a statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday by the chairman of the group, Alhaji Samari Abdullahi said the President Buhari has demonstrated again that the only means to entrench internal democracy and progressive governance is for him to the party's constitution and that of the country.

Samari said the position of the president has equally vindicated his group in Kwara State that had been consistent in the call for restructuring within the party in the state.

He also congratulated those currently occupying party positions as their tenure winds up, saying that they have done their best in the last four years, it will be time for a change of baton and injection of fresh minds.

He therefore, called on loyal party to continue to every reform that will reposition the party as a true progressive party and shun every move that will destabilize the party ahead of the 2019 elections.

THE PRESIDENT HAS SPOKEN: A press release by Ahmed Bola Tinubu

THE APC STANDS FOR INTERNAL DEMOCRACY
In the clear, straightforward manner that is his mode of expression and that befits the moment, President Buhari affirmed our party remains faithful to the principles of internal democracy and the rule of law.
In his address to the March 27 NEC meeting, President Buhari stated that talk of extension or elongation of the tenures of national and state party executive officers was improper. The President declared that any such moves would contravene both the national and party constitutions.
Additionally, he stated that the designation of existing officers as caretaker committees also violated constitutional requirements.
President Buhari’s action saves the party from serious legal turmoil. If the elongations were deemed illegal then all subsequent party actions, including the nomination of all of our candidates for elective offices, might also be of questionable legality. Such a predicament would constitute an unnecessary and mortal blow to the party and its role in promoting progressive governance to Nigeria.
Moreover, President Buhari has affirmed for all to see that our party is one based on the rule of law coupled with a firm adherence to internal democracy. While it would have been easy to allow the ill-conceived motion of 27 February to stand, President Buhari showed principle and courage by steering the party back to its original and correct path.
The President has spoken. Today is a good day for those who cherish democracy and legality. His action will also serve to strengthen the party by allowing party , including present incumbents, to seek to contribute to the party by vying for executive offices as they see fit.
His action will go far in advancing the process of internal reconciliation that is now underway. It is a time for the party to move forward and begin to plan and organize the needed congresses according to the existing timetables. After all, a party bearing the name All Progressives Congress should be the last party to resist holding congresses in which all its people have a fair say and fair chance to aspire to any position in the party for which they are qualified to hold.
Again, this is a good day for the APC and democratic political practice in Nigeria. We shun the politics of old to move toward a new and better way of governing ourselves and this nation.
Signed

Dapchi Girls: President Buhari has trounced naysayers

The timely response of President Muhammadu Buhari and the offered by relevant agencies that led to the release of the abducted school girls of Government Secondary and Technical College Dapchi, Yobe State has been applauded by the Muhammadu Buhari/Osinbaji Dynamic Group in Kwara State.

In a statement released in Abuja by the Kwara State Co-Ordinator of the movement, Kayode Oyin-Zubair said President Buhari has deflated a major campaign issue of the opposition as 2019 general elections draw close.

"The release of the school girls hit the camp of the opposition as a rude shock and the reason for the unfounded and outright falsehood that have been struggling for space in the social media since the cheering news broke.

"Since the day of their abduction, the opposition has mounted strong campaign demanding their timely release. This was exactly what government and relevant agencies were doing and it culminated in their eventual release. What can be more cheering than this?

"The opposition had expected the repeat of 2014 saga when the wife of a sitting president assumed the position of the Commander -in-Chief of the Armed Forces who sat in the comfort of Abuja to Court Marshall everyone including sorrowful parents.

"What can be more agonizing than seeing a supposedly mother of the nation reducing issues of national security to a mere comedy which made the country a butt of joke in the international media."

The opposition according to Oyin-Zubair had expected the international community to in the campaign for the release of Dapchi girls since it did so during the ignoble regime of the immediate past when wife of American President, Michelle Obama ed the campaign for release of Chibok girls.

"We are aware that the opposition is seriously in search of international ahead of 2019 general election and the more reason they are quick to quote any statement made by a foreigner. Interestingly, they didn't get any slant to their side while the search for Dapchi school girls lasted.

"We are confident in God that the prayers of the saints will the remainders home safely and others abducted since 2014.

"We are grateful to Nigerians for finding time out to pray for the country and other sundry issues of national development."

Oyin-Zubair said Nigeria is on the path to greatness and Nigerians can count on President Muhammadu Buhari as a sincere and honest leader.

Today, on our way to OKE ỌDẸ in Ifẹlodun Local Government Area of Kwara State to distribute exercise books sponsored by *FRESH INSIGHT FOUNDATION in partnership with Engr. Nurudeen Adeyẹmi THE ENACT* to the pupils and Students of some schools along that axis, we met a woman under this bridge fetching an unhygienic water into her Jerry cans. Flowing beneath this bridge located before *OLAYINKA TOWN* is *Oyi River* , and it is sardonically pitiable that its contents are shared by the the people of this community with cattle whose defecation can be seen all round the bank of this river, unbelievable, we sighted a man taking his bath in nudity at some close corner under the bridge with same water.

Speaking with the woman and another Fulani man whom we met on the bridge, we were told that, that river serves as the source of water for good people of this community as they have no any other alternative one and they conceded to have resigned to their unfortunate fate. The woman came all away from *AGUNJIN* town to fetch this dirty water, Agunjin to this bridge is not less than 25 minutes walk, though the woman came with an old Mercedes Benz to carry the Jerry Cans.

Some few meters from that spot, we met another old woman with her container under another bridge digging dry land to source for water.

This is not Kwara of our dream! We didn't bargain for such degradation and dehumanization when we voted this government to power! Why?

Water has remain a misery and we are hoping its menace would be tamed by April as promised by government through his SSA Media Dr. Akorede, we just hope it won't be wishful thinking.

Kwara Central are having palliative tanker water scheduling for distribution across the towns on daily basis, the government should please Kwarans at other parts of North and South with tankers to remedy their situation as it worse more than imagine.

Saraki romances Coalition Nigeria, SDP

Though the political space remain very cloudy, ambitious politicians are busy on the chess board to deliver variables in their favour.

This medium gathered on Friday that barring any unforeseen developments, the senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki may pitch his tent with the Social Democratic Party (SDP), a party under the leadership of former secretary to the government of the federation during the military rule of General Ibrahim Babangida.

The coalition at a meeting held in Abuja recently deliberated on what political party it could realise its onslaught against the ruling party, APC. It was resolved that one of the existing political parties be adopted fearing that the incumbent government will make registration of another party unachievable, after PDP was ruled as an option.

The meeting which had leaders of the SDP in attendance was favorably disposed this party having stood elections in Nigeria before now.

The later M. K. O Abiola, the acclaimed winner of June 12, 1993 presidential election ran on the platform of the SDP, a sister political party to NRC ed and recognised by General Ibrahim Babangida.

In a similar development, a loyalist of the senate president in Ilorin who pleaded to remain anonymous for security and political reasons confirmed that some secretariats of the APC will wear new look soon.

According to him, "We have been directed to repaint some of our LGA secretariat where we have one. It's to be painted green, white and green".

However, the purportedly de camping of the senate president from his present political party is every where, even his ers including Kwara State governor has helped him deny.

It was uncertain as none of his followers could confirm to whether Mr. Saraki will wait for his case with CCT to be determined before leaving but it could confirm that he unhappy with the way he is treated in APC.

The 52 newly commissioned has no insignia of the APC or broom on them.

Check the color of the constituency office commissioned by the senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki which political party is identified with that?
