I am a silent reader and I felt I should share my experience as other people's posts helped me put together what I think was a good application, I hope it helps someone

Visa application submitted - Jan 30th

port returned - Feb 7th

Picked up - Feb 10th

Visa applied for - 10 days, single entry

Visa Approved - 3 months Multiple entry

List of documents submitted:-
• The completed Schengen Visa Application Form
• My Original port
• Proof of Travel History- Valid UK visa
• My reserved travel return ticket- 10 days
• Schengen Visa Travel Health Insurance-10 days AXA Mansard
• Hotel reservation receipts – Pairs- 10 days
• Letter of Introduction from both companies as well as companies’ documentation and statements- I am a business owner and I have two ed companies so I submitted all my documents ( CAC , Annual returns, statement )
• My Personal 3 Months Payslip from my company
• Dependence ing documents –Letter of introduction from my aged mother and teenage daughter
• My Personal Bank Statements from the last three months - (Naira and dollar statements)
• Residential Address Utility Bill
• Pension statement and cover letter - 3 months
• Proof of Property owned Document
• Company ID Card
• Personal Tax Card
. Pictures of my family
. Daughters’ birth certificate
. Daughters travel history
. Proof of child in school - ission letter, school fees payment, etc

1. I'm a frequently traveler and have been to 1 world countries around the world save the 26 Schengen countries.

2. I just returned from New Zealand in September this year and enroute I got UAE Visa and Australian Visa cos I wanted to transit and get my new port stamped multiple times, as it was issued in May, 2019 and was still a virgin.

3. It was while in the longest flight in the world Dubai - Auckland (Emirates) that I chatted Madam that by December, we need to do foreign as take my small bobito(son) along.

4. When I returned, I was looking to do Singapore and Malaysia since they are close (like NIGERIA And Benin Republic). As soon as I heard that Malaysian embassy involves visiting VFS Abuja, I picked race I'm always scared of Nigerian planes oo.

5. In October, I just found this thread and read lots of posts by Globetrotter101, omotolanibaby, jjcv, Davide etc as well as from others with positive and negative outcomes.

6. Late October, out documents together and submitted application on 31/10/19.

7. It's was group application. I had 2 ports, expired (with different visas) and the new one with UAE Visa, New Zealand. My wife had UAE stamped entry and exit used in 2017, then my little bobito is just 18months old with a port just issued on 27/10/19.

8. Submitted all my wife's evidence of employment plus letters of promotions, pension statement, plus just 1 months pay slip for September, letter from office granting her leave, then I had the Head of write a letter of introduction that my company is sponsoring the family trip, as well as her own self introduction letter No statement submitted.

9 for me, dropped photocopies of previous visas, images taken abroad, family images home and abroad, marriage certificate, Company documents, list of real estate assets, car documents, investment in Stocks, bonds and Treasury bills, list company clients plus letters of Engagement, ongoing business transactions correspondences, professional qualifications and certifications, company's SOA, my personal SOA, company's letter of introduction, self introduction letter, company tax clearance plus personal tax clearance, airline reservation, hotel reservation, evidence of booking a boat cruise via Trip advisor, lastly Pension statement.

10. Son's BC, images of his 1 year birthday and letter of introduction for him too

10. Application received 1st November at Embassy, visa signed on 12th November.

They didn't even notify either of us, as I just said I should track the application online and saw the evidence of receipt.

My blood pressure rose to brim and could not wait till tomorrow to pick, but at exactly 2:44pm, left the office rushing to get to Lekki Phase 1 before 4:00pm from Ikoyi.

Had to use that Fashola's Ikoyi link bridge and paid ₦400 toll gate. Got to Manor house around 3:45pm.

When I got there, I was just looking out for that white paper(lol) as I couldn't find anything, I just opened the seal and found visas stamp for all 3 applicants.

Thought I should share the story to encourage someone not to lose hope.

Just package yourself well and pray for God's favor. That's all

Thank you for your response. My self and my wife had travelled to UAE, USA, UK and Ghana.
My Daughter had travelled with us to USA and UAE.
The Second child has a blue port.
The Last is 5 and no travel history at all.

I also work with a American multinational firm while my wife owns a ed Culinary Training and Catering Firm that she has been the MD for about 8 years.

Good day all, Has anyone applied for visa with full family for the first time and got the Visa. I plan applying for visa for my family (Me, my wife and 3 kids) for the purpose of family vacation in the summer.

A friend of mine did same last year, his wife and kids were denied but he got the visa, so he had to travel alone. So my question is, please can I apply with the family at ones all together? Or should i apply first? When i get it then my wife and the kids can apply together? Although for the same period for the visit (summer time in august).

Please I need advice on the best approach to this.

Because in Nigeria, when you use your influence to get loans for family , that loan won't get paid back. Attempts to get that money would be met with 'but we are family now?'

Because in Nigeria, when you get a job for a family member, that job won't be well done, because 'i am related to the big person, no one can touch me'

The concept of family in Nigeria is 'taking advantage of someone because that someone is related to me'. Better to help stangers than to help family.

P.S The job your firend may be going for,....she might not be qualified.

This is so on point. I hope people will understand but they don't until they get to that stage in life and realize how it is easy for the family to take undue advantage of the situation. You also don't know if the man signed a conflict of interest at work too where he can't help his family member with his position as it will be termed abuse of office.

If the client in question can do a soil test it will help to get other suggestions to be considered instead of what he is trying to do.
It's even good that Abdulwatecx has come up to make a statement.

I some years back a nairalander posted his soil test report here for a build in Port Harcourt (duplex of some sort). The recommendation on the report was a raft of 1200mm height. Abdulwatecx gave a recommendation based on the report also but the client/ home owner after various additions by professionals here and probably offline he and his site engineer settled for a 600mm height ground/grade beam for the foundation.

I do not know how many can recall. He even did a post of his expenditure on the project on a coloured worksheet here with pix of the project.

They are unsure about where they stand on birth tourism,The idea is if you find yourself in Canada and you birth,your child will be a citizen regardless but I don’t think Canada issues visa in that ground.i came across an international thread just like nairaland.Almosy everyone ok that forum talked down on birth tourism,it’s a huge issue in Canada,I think the residents are really complaining.some even said no bed space for residents bla bla..the whole competent regional authority is just mere procedure
